Try to get service for my 2 month old electric stove with glass cooktop. GE outside vendor would not come out because the 30 day warranty expired. My documents read 1 year warranty. GE service rep told me to call the store where I purchased it. GE was bought out by a chinese company. I have been getting such a run around. I will never buy a GE product again. I will attempt to contact corporate and if I don't get satisfaction I will be calling my attorney.
This company is a disaster. Don't go close to this brand. I bought a washer and dryer 4 months ago and still haven't been able to use it. It is a piece of garbage that I paid $2000 for.
We've had two GE dishwashers, both of which have broken in a short amount of time with regular use. Our most recent one we purchased in January, and it broke by March 17. We've been trying to get service for it, and no technician was able to fix it. It was a minor leak, and the technician proceeded to GLUE it, which of course did not fix the issue. He "ordered parts which would arrive in 3 weeks", and we are now going on to 7+ weeks and we have not had any communication with GE- they will not return calls or emails, and they always say that their manager is out of office. It's a complete joke, we have had the retailer we purchased from contact GE headquarters, and even they won't respond. DO NOT BUY FROM GE CANADA!
We purchased a suite of GE appliances for our new home. Our brand new dryer broke down within two weeks, it was a pain to get the service team in. 4 appointments later, we had a working dryer BUT the worker left the old dryer drum behind saying he had no room in his truck which has taken up our garage space the last 6 months now.
That's not all. Our brand new dishwasher broke down in October 2020. We couldn't get a rep out to fix it until Jan 2020 (after I called consumer relations). Well it broke again. And was fixed again.
GE is not investing in the upkeep and innovation on their appliances. In terms of investment in the service team, forget about it. It is outsourced and you will have multiple no shows +20-40 mins wait time on the line with the service team.

New dishwasher broke in 3 months. Called customer service, and wow, what a mess-up. They want you to use the website, but what you open by phone cannot be seen on website, and worse, website will crash mid-way and ask you to call by phone instead! Often agents take your call only to tell you 'the systems are down, call 3 hours later' and do it several times a day. Makes me wonder if they say that only to push you away. Agents are rude even if you try to be syrupy sweet, trying to get the warranty service. One told me that she will tell me in 2 weeks if I can get an appt. Wow! GE please outsource the whole thing to India, at least the agents will be more polite even if they are just as ineffective.
We bought GE washer and dryer in Best Buy with a very good discount. For the second use the dryer stop working, repair guy came and told us that we are going to have problems every month and we cannot return these appliances to the store.
After 2 months our washer machine stop working.

1 year & a day, the control panel died & GE would not consider replacement as the factory warranty is for only a year & the range died the day after. I'm glad I purchased a multi year non factory warranty, however it will take 3 weeks for the part to come in so I have to get something to cook on for 3 weeks, as Covid is still here. Never would buy GE again!
I did not want to rate this item because it does not deserve any stars at all. I agree completely with several of these complains saying that GE has the worst products and service ever.
After purchasing and dealing with the company for several months, absolutely nothing was accomplished. Myself and others felt this washer was a lemon and should have been recalled. It was so bad that several appliance stores in our area stopped selling this particular washing machine because of all the complaints they were receiving.
Once you purchase a GE product, it seems you are on your own after that, they could care less about your concerns.
I know I will NEVER purchase ANY GE products again and I hope many others feel the same way. Believe me, it is not worth the hassle I went through, with absolutely, no satisfaction. I am now left with a washing machine I am extremely unhappy with.
THE GE PROFILE INDUCTION STOVE AND DISHWASHER ONLY LASTED 3+ YEARS. NEEDED MAJOR EXPENSIVE REPAIRS. CIRCUITS BOARDS WENT OUT. ACTUALLY ALMOST CHEAPER TO BUY NEW DISHWASHER. VERY UPSET. AT LEAST THE REFRIGERATION AN RANGE HOOD ARE STILL WORKING.
I bought cash a combo washer and dryer from the warehouse in end of Jan'21 - the machine have a manufactory defect and i contact the customer service regarding this problem in 24 hrs after we received and installed.
After 2.5 months on the phone almost everyday with the customer service people the machine is still not working - they didn't replace it as per manufactory warranty and they didn't repair it aider.
This company is one of the biggest unreliable company that i see in the last few years in the market - from sales personal to customer service personal everybody try to BS all day long. I left several messages to the managers and they never reply.
The BS that they try to sell me in the last 2-3 weeks is that the parts are coming from Mexico and is take more than 6 weeks to be delivered. An other BS if I drive by myself to Mexico I would have been back by now with the part(s). I can bring you any parts from anywhere in this world in less that 1 week but we cannot bring a something from Mexico in 4-6 weeks.
Very disappointed and I will never purchase anything from this company ever again.
They said since the delivery driver said he did not do it I needed video evidence! Unreal. Here is iswhat is said back to their insurance company who handles this. I also called GE and they were zero help. UNBELIEVEABLE>
Hugo, that is an absolute misrepresentation of what happened and very disappointing to hear such a statement from the installer. He asked me to sign it when the brought it inside and unwrapped it in relation to any damage to the range, it had none so I signed it. He then slid it into place but it was not adjusted correctly, so he pulled it back out and began lowered the legs and started slide it in the space and I heard a loud grinding noise and told him to stop. Next we both discovered the gouges, after protecting the floor with my kitchen rug, and took pictures of the damage. He is not being forthright as to what happened if that is what he in fact told you I will not accept this and will continue to pursue are fair and reasonable resolution.
I sent them pictures, called them, made the driver call him before he left and explain what had occurred. I should have known they would pull this crap as they left and said they could not touch the oven again in fear of damaging the floor. They literally left it in the middle of my kitchen. GE SUCKS!
Ordered Fridge, dishwasher, and stove July of 2020. Needed them for the kitchen remodel in November of 20. Dealer tried to give us a floor model stove. They ended up upgrading it and giving us a stove to use until it arrived. Months later it finally arrived. We allowed them to install a stainless dishwasher and order the black front for it. After installing the front, it began leaking like a sieve. We had large puddles in front of it. Also dealer ended up damaging control panel while installing. Dealer came out and looked at it, and agreed to upgrade it to the Monogram line (they had one in-stock). The contracted installer told us it would be over 2 weeks before they could install it. So now our brand new floor is continuously getting wet. No more G. E. appliances for us, and no more appliances from Zeglins Appliance in Davenport, Iowa.
Two years old oven keeps on turning off by itself can't Bake Call for service They have to come find out what's wrong what are the parts then come back and fix it beautiful stove but we regret our our purchase
I own 4 GE kitchen appliances. 3 out out of 4 have needed at least one repair with in 2-3 yrs of owning. Besides for functionality, many of the handles have plastic parts that broke with in a yr of purchase. I wont be buying GE products anymore and would never recommend to a friend. Stay far away unless you're ok with dropping a couple hundred dollars every year or two on a repair.
Do not purchase-! Unless you want the space shuttle to take off in your house! Your clothes will also not be clean.
Fridge is so noisy from time to time. Dishwasher sound is so loud! Oven doesn't really heat from a supposed heat on the temperature being set on, unlike other appliance brand. To mention, LG and Samsung. Washer w/ dryer, dirt are stuck on clothes after washing. Absolutely a nightmare using appliances with this brand!
I bought the pair of freezer fridge to the tune of $12,000. After installing I noticed the frame hardware is bowed at the top. Not part of an install, but cam out of the box. I called GE and they sent me to the dealer. I went to the dealer to complain and his unit had the same issue! The dealer sent me back to GE. I had an unrelated problem with the fan shroud hitting the fan so they to send a GE tech to come and look at both. The tech said the trim piece at the top of the unit was too large causing it to bow out! It took weeks for the tech to submit pictures adding to the ones I sent. GE has giving me the runaround and I recently got off the phone with someone who should be fired from GE. She basically said if it's not functional, they won't warrantee it. I consider fitting in the cabinet functional, but she did not. She agreed to send out another tech, but made it clear that if he can't fix that's it. They will NEVER take back the unit. I found her attitude unbecoming of what GE used to be! She refused to accept that it was a manufactures defect and said is maybe was a one of! Who cares! I have an issue and they won't make it right. I would run from this company and its products. This is an attitude that must come from the top and they don't care about their customers. When you spend $12,000 on a product you would think you would get some better treatment!
If there's an option of putting no stars I would. Not only their product is awful their customer service is unhelpful. This washing machine is extremely loud and noisy. There's no replacement guarantee of the products. They only talk about the parts warranty not the actual product so be aware. We've been using this watching for only 8 months and the transmission is already burned out. I'm stock for almost 3 weeks nothing repair yet. They mentioned that the part (transmission) is still back order. Please do not buy this product. It's a waste of money and time. I will no longer buy any GE products. Definitely not recommend this to anyone!
This GE Profile oven takes FOREVER to preheat, and without exposed bottom heating elements, or even with the hidden ones, does a terrible job in baking items, especially our favorite home-baked pizza. Thin crust stays gummy and gets glued to the baking tray. Very poor design, folks, and not energy efficient, if we have to preheat for 30-40 minutes.
We would not have purchased if we had known this. Would not buy again. Very unhappy. Customer service was fine.
After 39 days with no refrigerator the GE representative telling me it's better for me to find the fan myself because they don't have it and it's back order. It's $8500, 51/2 years old?!

Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
