The GE Appliances support has been the worse I have ever experienced. With a new refrigerator under Full Warranty, and they cannot find part to fix it or deliver a new refrigerator to replace the current one. I will be loosing a lot of money in meats and other expensive items in need of refrigeration and/or freezer. It has been over 48 hour since they said they would contact me with a prompt solution. So far, nothing!
Bought 5 top of the line GE Monogram appliances with all needing service more than once within the first few months. Techs don't show, show up late, are rude, scratch appliance surfaces, dent wooden floors, break appliance doors. To get service it may take months and many days of lost work because you take off work for the service call and no one will come or call to say they are not coming. You will call the customer service desk and they will reassure you someone is coming only to tell you at 6:00pm that they will have to reschedule. With the rescheduled date the same scenario will happen again and again.
This is my third summer with my GE Energy Star window AC and I can no longer use it. It has wi-fi and I started it by phone while at work last week just to come home to a watery mess in my living room. It froze up and backed up inside my house (narrowly missing an electrical outlet that it was plugged into). I have owned many AC's and they are installed correctly. This GE replaced an AC that I had for 10 years that still worked fine, I just thought I would try to reduce costs with a more updated and efficient unit. I gave my old AC to someone who needed it and it still works today. In reality I only got two seasons for $450. I don't care to have it serviced, this thing could have burned my house down while I was at work. How can I trust it won't do it again? 25 years in my home and never experienced this. Last time with GE for me. I did have a GE washer years ago that leaked and ruined my floor.
I have a problem washer that does not run right. They don't have a way to talk to them. Been on phone for 2 and a half hours and no one picked up.
I'm writing this as I'm really upset. We purchased a GE Profile Smart Vent. BOTH were defective, BOTH times we contacted GE and they scheduled a 3rd party to come check out our smart vent. BOTH times the 3-party said that WE had to pay when GE Customer Service said that it was covered under warranty. BOTH times when we called to complain that we had to pay, they gave some excuse such as the agent should have transferred you over to blah blah and made a note of blah blah. They DID NOT apologize NOR remedied the situation. DO NOT BUY ANY GE PROFILE OR GE appliances unless you're willing to pay out of pocket to have them fixed when it should be covered under warranty!
Was cooking on my 3 year old very expensive GE Profile induction range. All of a sudden I notice sparks under the glass and than flames. Half the burners are out and the warranty is only going for year. I am very handy but it's always useful to get some help troubleshooting. No such luck and horrible customer service. After I fix this this will be my last GE appliance. Buyer beware
Horrible customer service to begin with. Service in home techs are in too much of a hurry.to get to the next stop, therefore, not addressing the issue properly. They brought a supposedly new identical wash which also had problems. The Customer Relations department there is a line in the purchase agreemet essentially saying I am stich with the washer regardless of the quality. The washer is in my opinion most likely refurbished, not new which is what I paid hundreds of dollars for.
I bought a new built Townhouse back in November 2019 and the builders offer this crap and the obnoxious buzzing noises of the refrigerator has been service called twice during the warranty timeframe.
Now several months later the noise came back again and worse than before and it hasn't been resolved and the customer services communications to have service has been unorganized and my tenants were quite unhappy.
Out of warranty time-frame they will not replace it eventhough clearly their contractors couldn't fix the issues from the beginning.
Never buy from this brand unless you want to keep shelling out on a refrigerator that last less than 2 years.
Go for Samsung or LG. Way better brand/technology and no hiccups had those brands for 5 years+ with no issues whatsoever.
Purchased a top line gas range in nov 2020, by dec had three gas valves fail, the third stick in the open position pouring gas into my kitchen. The consumer relations dept informed me that they couldn't come up with the correct part for three months and had the rude suggestion that I purchase a hot plate for the duration. After two hours of arguing finally some supervisor saw the light and ordered a complete replacement of the unit. That still took two weeks. Within three weeks the oven on the new unit failed, again in the open position and I again had to evacuate my family as I ran for the cut off valve in the basement. Luckily I was able to convince my local Lowe's where I purchased the range that this stove was dangerous and they enacted an instore refund so I could get a different brand ASAP.GE did nothing at this point to help even avoiding talking to Lowe's about the situation. It became obvious that GE has two consumer relations depts, one that has no decision authority but deals with consumers and one with authority but is totally shielded from consumer contact. Their warrantee isn't worth the paper it's written on as their repairmen are incompetent and their supply line is hopelessly broken. I strongly urge you not to buy GE products
Will never buy a GE appliance again broke after 7 months of owning it and they won't send a tech out to fix it! Never again! They have been rude and unpleasant to work with over our broken appliance
I purchased a brand new GE dishwasher and had it installed 2 weeks ago. After the first try the soap dispenser does not work. Same issue I had my old one replaced for. Called GE and was given a appointment 2 weeks later. This is a new out of the box item. Service was scheduled for today between 8am -5om. Now it has been changed to 6pm-8pm. Had to wait all day and still no repair person
After sitting on the phone for 2 hours waiting for someone to pick up the phone, when they come on phone it hangs ups. The automatic voice response is a joke. Techs don't even have the common curtsy to call if they are running late or better yet don't even show up twice. No more GE appliances in this house ever! Not even a drop Chris!
Bought microwave, used once and broke. 4mnts now I've waited 2B repaired. Terrible customer service!
I wanted a suite that wasn't white and bought the GE fridge, dishwasher and stove. The dishwasher needed a new part after about a year and wouldn't clean my dishes.The refrigerator I replaced was another model and I had it15 years with NO issues. I just wanted an upgrade for my kitchen. I'm five years in and the rubber around the freezer is coming off, it leaks, the water and ice maker don't work consistently, it freezes up and it has the LOUDEST, MOST ANNOYING BUZZING NOISE! I will NEVER purchase another product by GE! My other refrigerator that I GAVE away was still working after 15 years! No issues at all! Don't buy GE products! You will be as pissed as I am!
I ordered a stackable washer and dryer it was delivered to me 3 times damaged. I received the last one 05/08/2021 and less than 3 weeks later after only washing 6 loads the washer no longer works. It stopped in the middle of a spin and I had to dry those clothes for 1 1/2 hours before they would dry. I was so embarrassed because I have out of town guest that was washing their clothes. I will never refer or buy another GE unit, this was my first and last time. I wouldn't have given a start but you had to give at least 1 star to submit. It's not easy getting through to their customer service either. They want you to go on line to schedule a repair. I am pissed... Below it ask for pictures (I'm at work) and proof of purchase (I'm not putting my receipt. I am Michelle Young (Largo, FL) my sister bought it for me and paid $1,663.98 for an apartment size stackable washer and dryer. OVER PRICED and broke in less than 3 weeks. Once I did reach customer service they said a 3rd party would have to reach out to me in 24 hours. So I've had a broker washer for 4 days now.
I recently purchased a complete Cafe series kitchen- fridge, 2 oven units, range and dishwasher. The two ovens and range have never given issue. The dishwasher, has leaked and not drained properly since installation. Always leaves murky water and shuts off mid cycle often. The fridge, however, is what i called and complained about. At first i noticed my ice cream melting. Then puddles on my brand new floor due to ice melting. The outsourced techs came to my house 6 times over the course of the month and STILL did not fix it. At this point my brand new over 3k fridge is refurbished. Frustration was getting the best of me. However, through the whole month, i had one customer service agent checking in with me through email. Diana, is really the BEST customer service person. They should make her teach classes. She followed up with the company doing the work, she sent compensation for spoiled food, she was so kind and did amazing at putting my frustrations at ease. We still do not have a working fridge, but she is sending a new one out this week! I am unsure about GE future purchases, but i wish I had another way to show Diana recognition because i would absolutely remain a customer because of her.

I wish I could actually post a review about a product I purchased from GECafe, but it seems I won't be receiving the appliances that I purchased anytime soon! I placed my order for a range, refrigerator, and dishwasher through Home Depot on March 1,2021. I was given a delivery date of May 26,2021... Not great, but I had heard of delays with appliances, so not a huge surprise. Continued checking the order status and still had a date of May 26th stating ‘on schedule'. On 5/18/2021 I received an email from Home Depot regarding delivery titled "Important preparation steps for your new appliance" still giving my delivery date of May 26th. In the evening on May 24th I received a phone call message indicating that my appliances were delayed and the soonest available delivery date would be October 2nd! So you wait until 2 days before delivery is supposed to take place to inform me that I now have to wait another 4 months!?! That's really unbelievably poor customer service. Maybe you could be honest with your customers and let them know up front about this HUGE delay so that an informed decision could be made. GE customer service rep was entirely unhelpful and rather glib about the situation... I really didn't need to hear that GE was founded by Thomas Edison and has been in business over a hundred years. Telling me I can just cancel my order with Home Depot doesn't feel like you value your customers much! Well, my search for different appliances begins! I'll be sure to warn everyone that will listen to beware! Btw... please update your website that indicates these appliances are in stock at Home Depot... Clearly they are not!
Worst washer i ever bought. Doesn't put enough water to wash. Clothes has dry spot's on sheet's after wash

Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
