Suppose to be smudge resistant what a joke poor quality had it for 3 days its already showing prints and the icemaker lever already scratched I disliked my old Fridgidare but the smudge proof was actually that not some cheap grade stainless even though I had issues with mechanical parts...
I never ever will buy GE again. Their service is terrible. I had this bad experience many times with GE. Their customer service and repair services are the WORST.
We have GE appliances including Monogram. The GE washer has failed 7 times and in 6 months of use GE has sent repair persons without success: they have replaced the transmission and water pump among other parts. This washer still does not work and once again we are to wait 14 days for a repair person. GE states they will not replace this lemon until it is redeemed "unrepairable." In the meanwhile we are without a washing machine that works. We do not recommend buying GE or any of their washing machines which includes Maytag.
GE is very difficult to reach and are goofy in execution of even dispatching their repair persons to the correct address. Sometimes they dispatch non-GE repairmen without proper equipment to diagnose the washer problem - hence no computer. The last repair totally rendered the washing machine inoperable.
GE is insensitive and just a big conglomerate mess. Glad they are breaking up into three incompetent pieces. Bottom line if the appliance happens to work you are lucky. If you need repair - good luck.
We acquired this faulty GE washing machine through a Lennar home purchase.
I have had this washer for 10 months- not even paid for yet. Have had two service calls and both times it was the drain. Which it's been 3 weeks waiting for part. I have water running on my floor ever time we use it.
Service guy said it's the drain and within 10 mins he's gone. He said he will order part. We been told by Leon's(where we bought it) to get a hold of a manager at GE to see on replacement but 3 attempts to contact them and have to respond back.
This thing is so noisy and bounces around- can't believe they sell this.
Also can't believe Leon's it's helping more since they sold it to me.
I bought fridge and is not working call them for warranty they even not tried to send some one. Everything in fridge was destroyed.

Bought a new microwave/oven combination unit for a new house. It was defective. Had 6 (!) service calls before they finally agreed to replace it. "Lost" my paperwork twice. Spoke to 12 cs agents. Literally 30+ hours on phone and hold. Even the repair techs said THEY wouldn't buy GE. Just plain chinese junk
HELP! My son was making popcorn in our microwave which is only 4 years old and the microwave caught fire as he was watching it pop! It made a terrible humming noise first so I grabbed him and took him away from it. It has been almost a month and nothing has been done. I called numerous times and told my same story to probably everyone in customer service with 30-45 min wait times each time I was transferred. HELP!
We perches a GE electric stove with sensors on the top burners. The sensors will turn off after it get to a certain temperature Then it turns it's self off until it cools down then reheats. My wife makes homemade Tortillas. She could cook two to three dozen in thirty minutes now she make thirteen to fourteen tortillas in 45 minutes. Who ever the ENGINNER that's had this design approve by GE both should not ever design another appliance's.
We purchased a $4,000 GE French door refrigerator in May 2021. We were excited when it finally arrived on October 26,2021 however one week later it stopped cooling in both the refrigerator and freezer (refrigerator 61 degrees and freezer 40 degrees and rising). We contacted GE and they said the earliest a technician could come for repair was 10 days. We through out over $200 of food that went bad. GE offered us $150 to rent a refrigerator which was a poor attempt at appeasing us. We called the GE rep in our area an they did not return our call, so hear we are with no refrigeration as we wait. Completely unacceptable customer service. We never should have bought from GE as our prior circa 2005 Jennaire worked great for 15 years. GE should take it back and we will buy a good quality product from a reputable company. STAY AWAY FROM GE REFRIGERATORS, AS THEY DONT WORK.
I would have given GE ZERO stars, but it would not let me! This is not the first time I have had to deal with GE, but it will be the last GE product I EVER buy. Bought a new dryer for $637.00 on 7/2021. At 3 months old, it no longer heats. (1) Service came out for 3 hrs, then I was told they didn't send all of the parts so they could not finish fixing it. (2) They came the next week, only to ask ME where the part was? I told them I did not receive any part, he looked it up and said it was on back order. At this point, I had been without a dryer for 4 weeks. Of course each time they schedule to come out, I have to take off work as they say they will be here anytime from 9-1:00 p.m. (3) The part eventually came to my house the following week and I had to call them to schedule for them to come out. Service came out, he was here for another 3 hrs, and now there is an issue with the electrical board that hooks to the timer and another part needs to be ordered. Called customer service back, they are reviewing my case, but again was told as a general rule they need to come out four times for service before they will give you a new dryer (and the second service call was not reported because nothing was completed at that time since there was no part)! So fed up and frustrated!
Do not order directly from GEstore.com; if you end up having any issues with your product get ready for hours on the phone just waiting for their customer service to answer. Also they work with a third party for delivery so that is a separate phone number with that as well and getting punted back and forth was no fun as it ended up with more hours on hold while seeking customer support. Getting a refund was only timely because I called them and asked so they processed it right then there but keep in mind, you will only be refunded for the product itself. If you purchased warranty, they have a whole other separate process that takes weeks...(1-2 months) and there's no email to confirm that it's happening. Just more calls to GEStore Customer support, more hours on hold, and then their people looking into it but potentially not being able to find tracking for it. The whole set up is awful. I do not recommend this company. Nobody talks to each other, nobody shares their information, it's just bad all around. I experienced all this due to a defective water dispenser on my refrigerator, replacement never came, so started was the refund process. I'm still waiting for my warranty refund check. Initial order was in May.
Range: burners don't last/schematics are incorrect/rust at the oven window. Unheard of! Dishwasher: electronics done/14 months. Fridge: gaskets useless, lights burnt out, compressor whines/10 months.
GE customer service = USELESS. The Brick, just as bad. GE=$4000 down the toilet. Heather, you're a PEng, fix your junk appliances!
I ordered parts from their online services---DON't DO IT! I was charged 3 times for 1 order---when I called I was on the phone for over 1 hour with 4 different GE customer service reps. Who didn't seem like they wanted to help and kept having me go between parts and returns department! 3rd world customer service at BEST!
I told them about the overcharges and they said they sent info. To finance and to her supervisor and would get back to me via email on it----SO no resolution after being ripped off by them!
Pick another appliance company!
I also tried to get my credit card off of the system BUT also told that the system would have to refresh -when I log in my credit card number is still there!
I ended up calling my bank to block them from charging me and disputing the two other charges-I feel like I got ripped off from GE.
We bought a fridge and stove and dishwasher in august 2019. Since then we had a technician over to check, replacw, fix the fridge at least 4-5 times. Still problems. One drawer broke after a couple of months. The technician checked thoroughly the fridge and discovered fissures hidden in the back, repaired cables behind the drawers, broken parts in the door. His conclusion: we were sold a demo! We contacted GE, they informed us that they will never ever change completely the fridge, but they can change it piece by piece! Since then a drawer was replaced, and a whole door! After a shile the fridge starts producing a noise like a plane is landing in my kitchen! Out of the sudden, from time to time, it can last a few good minutes. And we wait to see if the fridge will burst out! Then after a while we had a very unpleasant odour, coming out from under and from the top of the fridge. It stinks! At the point that it gives nausea. Multiple complaints. Plus from time to time we find the food frozen in the fridge. But noone touched the temperature button.
So we had again a technician in june 2021. He said he would come back to fix smth. Maybe even to replace the engine. So we wait. No one comes. We call back on 12yh of October. They say our file is closed! Cause nothing wrong was found in June during the inspection. I call GE. They say my complaint will be forwarded to a superviser. It can take 2 to 6 weeks for someone to call me back!... amd i paid more then double the price of an advanced model of LG. Furthermore the glass from the stove broke one night in million pieces. I was told that it is normal. It happens! As I have no more warranty i have to buy it myself. Conclusion: DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! Go for an LG. And buy an extra warranty!
After spending a lot of money-$1500 for a stacked washer and dryer I discovered that the black marks on my white sheets from purchase was graphite from something not installed correctly or malfunctioning per their tech rep.
He never came to my house, never called me back, and went on vacation while I was waiting for my washer to be repaired or replaced. I think it may be putting wholes in my towels too. Another bout of calls, push this or that and hold for 15-35 minutes to get NOTHING. Today the same thing-oh that guy doesn't answer even for us (GE) you will need to call customer relations. Now on hold for 15-35 minutes and pressed for a call back. They have now waited until the warranty was out in September.
I just bought a new refrigerator and it was NOT GE.
Bought top of the line GE front losing washer and dryer from Home Depot. After 2 days it stopped working. The next day it started a cycle but kept going until I stopped it. GE sent a replacement washer which had a big scratch on the front. I sent it back. So after spending $3000 I have no washer. Haveyheard anyyfrom GE. Home Depot doesn't take appliance returns!
So disappointed with this purchase.
I purchased a High end GE washer 3yrs ago, used about once a week for a single person. Very light loads, nothing heavy! It's now not working what a piece of garbage! Like I said it wasn't a cheap throw away model either, over $800! I'll never buy another GE appliance again!
We remodeled our kitchen and bought a FULL set of GE Monogram, from 48" wide refrigerator, to wall oven, stove top, convection oven and even the hood (actual pictures below).
EVERY item has needed repair from the word go. I was lucky that I purchased the 5 year extension plan from local dealer.
Now, it is our wall oven's turn again and the repair person that was here says the parts are no longer made and you have to buy another over. Get that? They don't produce the items so I have to buy another oven and throw this oven away.
We have had service call on EVERY unit and now we can't even fix it.
Please do yourselves a favor and stay away from this JUNK LINE!
No one in customer service will take responsibility for helping you resolve your issue. They toss you from one department to another as though they derive enjoyment from doing so.
I bought a new AC from GE, and it has been a nightmare trying to get it fixed.

Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
