I have had my appliances for 7 months. They began rusting on the surface (microwave, oven panel, dishwasher) after only having them for 3 months. After calling the "WARRENTY" people they informed that cosmetic damages are not covered (But the polish is, which they sent) I would NEVER recommend ANY GE products to anyone! These are not "damages" this is just simply bad manufacturing. And GE not holding accountability. And not only that but my dishwasher came with a HUGE dent in the back of it, the latch broke off within a month and I was recently informed that dishwashers don't clean dishes the soap you put in does so I switched from cascade tabs to finish (what I was told to use instead) and what do you know- my dishes are still dirty and with film. I use rinse aid. And have a water softener/filter on my house. The dishes should not be dirty whatsoever after a full cleaning cycle with steam, "proper" soap, and rinse aid in a NEW dishwasher. Would not recommend, ever.
Bought a GE washer dryer front loading combo with under drawers. Paid $2700. Came in dented a does not work or dry at all. Repair ordered many new parts. It has now been 1 1/2 months not being able to do laundry with over 40 calls to GE to get this garbage taking up room in my house. I can not even get this garbage pulled out of my house to replace it with any other manufacturer who I assume make product to sell that work. Any one who buys a GE product should have their IQ checked. P.S. Can't even download photo of purchase paperwork. Apparently nothing works at GE
I have made 13 phone calls today to report a crack in the "plastic" spacer between handle and oven door and can't get to anyone to explain a. Why is it made of plastic? 2. How can I get it fixed. I've only had it for a year and a half and I live alone and don't mishandled it. I got one guy that wants 68.00 + 14.00 shipping to replace the whole handle. Don't buy GE. Garbage.
We ordered a brand new washer and dryer, and the first time trying to use the dryer it starts making a metal on metal grinding noise. So we call GE the earliest appointment we can get is in three days. We call homedepot to try and see if we can exchange it and they tell us we are stuck with GE and the earliest they could get a new one to us is in a week. Needless to say I am very upset with GE customer service for not quality checking their products before delivering them to their customers.
I have a stove, dishwasher and fridge. The stove is ok, the fridge is absolute $#*!. It freezes fresh food and ice maker stopped working when I replaced the water line. Dishwasher is absolute $#*! too. I will never buy another GE product as long as I live and will advise others against it.
Spending hours on the phone and having 3 visits from technicians, the company refused to make good on it, claiming interior enamel is cosmetic, and that is not covered on the warranty. Beside that the oven performs poorly, with temperatures not matching settings and not resolvable by technicians. Company is as bad as the appliances.
Never would I ever purchase a GE appliance again in my lifetime, nor would I recommend to friends or enemies. I had to take 3 days off of work in order to get my brand new dishwasher functional. The first visit the technician didn't order the parts, the second visit no one told me parts would be coming to me (which they didn't because they were never ordered), your third party "customer service" is useless reading either from scripts or just saying "I apologize" which is nothing but more aggravating. You need a customer service that actually services the customer. So very very disappointing. I know that the people making the decisions are not the people going out on the calls; they should be talking to the technicians who get all of the grief for their stupid procedures. I can only hope that my other three appliances don't break down and will only be replaced with another manufacturer when I want, not because I can't get them repaired by GE under warranty.
I don't anticipate a reply to this as I have discovered it is not the protocol of GE to respond responsibly to anything. Wish this could have been a note of praise, but unfortunately there is nothing to praise.
Heating and. Cooling ac unit. Ac worked heater didn't when bought. Fan went out now, 3 months old. Not a good product. Customer service isn't helpful, make you possibly pay for repair. If they don't service the item you have to do stuff to get a credit, haven't started this yet... I just know they are not backing this product I bought. And are unable to help me. Was a costly unit too, not the cheaper model.
Had a brand new washer. Broke down after barely being used for like a month or so. Still have been waiting for my washer to be fixed for 3 months. Very rude customer service and not at all helpful. They just keep putting it off and promise it will be fixed and/or replaced but it never does. Sometimes they straight up ignore your messages via email. Actual garbage company don't buy from them, I know I never will again.
I purchase $9065. 08 worth of GE products to remodel my kitchen, found out that we could not get natural gas to our house so we have to stay electric. We had already ordered a gas cooktop and guess what, they won't take it back, never been taken out of the box never been opened picked it up from the company I bought it from a week ago but it's been sitting in their warehouse for too long evidently, What a policy! Iwill never buy another GE product again for either of my houses or my 7 rentals they can put it where the sun doesn't shine
My dryer stopped working inside my one year warranty period I contacted them and they have now drug their feet to the point of out of warranty and are trying to make me buy a new dryer instead of replacing the piece of crap I purchased. Customer service has been terrible communication has been terrible and this company is terrible. DO NOT BUY GE. TERRIBLE COMPANY.
First off I just want to say I will NEVER purchase a GE appliance ever again. I purchased a dishwasher in May 2020 and it was on back order for a few months because of everything going on with covid. I finally received the dishwasher in September 2020 and it worked for a couple months and then would not start. My first service call was in November 2020 and it took the technician several times to come out to figure out the issue was a bad control panel. The control panel was ordered in February 2021 and on back order as well and did not arrive until June 2021. The technician came out in July 2021 to replace the control panel and now we are only in January 2022 and I am having the same exact issue all over again. Of course, now the dishwasher is out of it's warranty period, but the control panel is not. Even though the control panel is still under warranty, GE wants to charge me $109 just for the technician to come out and take a look at it. Why should I have to pay a dime if I have been having issues since the first couple months of having it?!? Clarise in customer care offered to give me a discount (But could not tell me how much) on a new dishwasher, but told me I would have to go on their website to pick one out and then call back with the model number… I am at the point where I just want my money back and I will be taking my business elsewhere. Very poor customer service. Would NOT recommend!
I'm a custom builder in Colorado I recently put all GE profile appliances in one of my log homes. The refrigerator Quit working correctly after 1 year which was what the warranty was. There customer service I should add completely sucks. DO NOT BUY GE.
I recently purchased a G E washer dryer unit, 4 months later it is broken. The fact that it's broken isn't the worst part, it's the people they have doing warranty repair. I understand things break but, A & E Repair is so unprofessional and unreliable. They have been to repair it 3 times and soon if they ever come back it will be 4 times. They have rescheduled 4 times in 2 weeks and you can never speak to anyone. A product is only as good and the support that's behind it so if this is how G E supports a brand new product then it's junk.
Three days and 8 call transfers with no resolution. This company is very flocked up. Customer service is laughable. DO NOT do business with them,. You may like the initial product and price, but rest assured that any of their appliances will break down and you will then be screwed.
New washer was delivered and first day, first load of cloths motor died, From that point it took 30 days to get repaired. Service man was good, but no parts. Covid part backordered. I understand that. What I wanted from customer service was my warrantee extended 30 days. Called customer service the answer was we don't do that. That was it, what happened with keeping the customer happy.
I purchased my GE Double Oven Gas Range in September 2016, five years ago for $1,250. Since then I have replaced two knobs. I was told by the customer service rep that the knobs are known to be faulty and there is a considerable call for replacements. The rep said the company is working to fix the problem.
I would note this model is five years old and GE apparently would rather sell replacement parts than replace the faulty knobs with good ones.
This day, the same day the knob fell off an endcap on the top oven handle fell off. I had to tape it on. Examining the parts on the GE web page it was evident I had to replace the entire handle. The handle is almost $50 not including a $100 service call. Now I have a $1200 oven with scotch tape on the front.
"I" would think GE would not like to present its products held together by tape.
Purchased range 9/9/2021. Used about 3 times before explosion. Moved range out and when pushed back against wall there was a ball of fire released from back. GE said the wires were severed with movement. I did not know this was a risk with these ranges or that they were so sensitive. The guard plate that is there to protect the wire harness, failed to do its job.
GE will not help me with replacing the range even though it is brand new and still under manufacturer warranty.
I trusted this big, well known, long time company, but the service and support is the worst. I never expected this from them.
This is clearly a manufacturer defect, but they will not claim it to be their responsibility. So I am out $2000 and no range, plus the damage done to my wall.
Please take caution when buying a GE appliance. Especially model noted above.
Our dryer died after 2 years and our washer after 3. Appliances should last WELL over that! Wasted money!
I bought a GE dishwasher 5 years ago that has been worked on three times now. I could have bought TWO dishwashers by now! When I called GE they were rude, told me it was out of warranty and my problem to fix. I will never buy another GE product. A dishwasher should last longer than five years. I have the same dishwasher in a condo that is used more that works great. The broken one is a lemon! If they would have offered 50% back to buy a new one I would have been happy but to say "sorry it is your problem" is not acceptable. Goodbye GE! My grandmother would be SO disappointed in you!
Answer: SCAM! $800 EXPEND IN LESS THEM 4 YEARS AFTER MOVE IN A NEW HOME WITH GE APPLIANCES-GARB COMPACTER, ICE MAKER AND NOW, THE WATER FILTER HEAD... PURE SCAM... PRODUCTS ARE MADE TO BREAK!
Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
