I bought GE café appliances the whole kitchen ensemble and have had them three years and had every single appliance I bought worked on. We had a dryer light on fire and GE couldnt care less and couldnt get anyone out to our house for 1 month. We have 4 small kids and they did nothing to help the situation and said, "well, we will give you a percentage off to buy a new one." The worst service we have ever had and no one take responsibility for anything.
Requested a replacement gasket for front loader. Gasket was put in incorrectly and drain hose not replaced. Called repairman to come back. He said "make an appointment". Called GE. After 30 minutes on hold. They referred me to Consumer Affairs. Doesn't anyone care anymore?
GE has put on a safety item on their electric stoves. The coil burners have a safety that is supposed to keep food from burning or oil from spilling over. It also won't allow you to boil water. Before the water boils, the stove decides it's to hot and shuts down. So if you want to make pasta, mashed potatoes, or anything that requires you boil water, do not get these stoves.
The guy arrived, ran a cycle thru the machine, asked me what was the problems with this washer. I told him, he took a video of how the washer was working. He told me what the problem could be but he wasn't sure. The machine was not checked out for sure. He said they were not allowed to move the washer or do any repair, because it was a four hour job and if they did not have the parts with them, they could not take the machine apart to actually find the problem. Am I missing something? How do you replace parts if you don't know what the problem is or what parts are needed. My time was wasted. He said all I can do is send a report to my office, and they will send that report to the warranty service and you should hear something in 3 to 4 business days on how they plan to handle this machine. DO NOT BUY GE.
Washer hasn't worked right from the day it was set up. If you like just wet still dirty clothes, this is for you. I expect more. Don't even try to contact customer service or repair service, they do not exist. I'm going to be calling a used appliance store and find used Kenmore, even used Kenmore are better than these pieces of JUNK. I was told by Home Depot just because I didn't like the washer I could not return it. I bought an extended warranty, but no one seems to be able to find that. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GE.
IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD GE has been a well known brand since way back when but recently I purchased a washer and dryer from them which stopped working after I had them for a month! The dryer never really got hot so I decided to call them to come fix it they have been to my house over 10 TIMES AND NEITHER THE WASHER OR DRYER WORKS YET THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD SWAP IT OUT AND GIVE ME A NEW ONE THAT NEVER HAPPENED DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SAVE YOUR MONEY IM SCRAPING THIS AS I JUST BOUGHT A NEW WASHER AND DRYER FROM ANOTHER COMPANY

While the GE Service staff have been wonderful, my beautiful profile refrigerator is 1.5 years old ($4K on or about) and there have been several issues with cooling and freezing. It appears that there is an issue with the Sealed Cooling System and next appointment will be the 4th appointment for cooling/freezing. I am hoping the service team call it unrepairable as in a time when food cost keep rising, I can't continue to sustain lack of faith in the appliance. Note, third time throwing out perishables within a fridge and freezer. Super sad...
Last year I bought a GE washer/dryer combo and I was the biggest mistake ever. It worked for about two months. It doesn't dry, smells terrible and fills back up with hot water on a dry cycle. GE made me use their junk third party repair place which was the most inept company on earth. I had 7 appointments set up and only 3 of them did anybody actually show up. Two of the guys showed up, ordered parts and left. The third guy, who had absolutely NO idea what he was doing, showed up and took 3 hours to replace the condenser tank and he DIDNT EVEN RECONNECT THE HOSES! So it flooded my house. He dragged my machine across my brand new floor and destroyed the floor. I have pictures. It's almost a year later and the machine doesn't work. Costco won't do jack about it, the repair company won't do jack about it and GE won't do jack about. I'm so fed up and angry with this. It's brand new and I have to throw my machine away and go buy a used set. Thanks GE for your garbage engineering, and terrible do nothing customer service. Picture of my destroyed floor included.
Had the 30" smart oven delivered 8 MONTHS after I ordered. I opened the box the next day after it was delivered. I was within my 48 hour window to have it returned. On the phone for 2 days, several hours each time and GE refused to take it back and refused to give me a refund. Bought this through Home Depot- which they were quite helpful but GE was not. Claimed it was Buyer's Remorse and I am just stuck with a damaged 1500. 00 oven. I WILL NOT PURCHASE FROM GE AGAIN.
Our 3-year old refrigerator has gone on the fritz. Scheduled appointment more than a week in advance with GE Appliances for a service tech to visit. Took off work. And then they canceled last minute. They're now making me wait two more weeks for a visit. This is unacceptable.

Petit bris sur la sécheuse (le loquet de la porte est brisé), ce qui rend la sécheuse inutilisable. Famille de 4 (2 adultes et 2 jeunes enfants). J'ai 48h pour déclarer mon bris, ce que je fais la journée même de la livraison. On me propose une réparation et non un remplacement, je me montre compréhensive puisqu'il s'agit d'un petit bris. Appel de service fait par GE à leur sous-traitant. Rendez-vous de réparation prévu le 1er mars 2022. Les réparateurs viennent, ils ont commandé seulement 1 pièce de 2, il ne peuvent donc pas réparer. C'est reparti pour un tour, délai de livraison pour recevoir la pièce manquante, délai ensuite pour avoir un rendez-vous avec le réparateur, j'ai ai donc encore jusqu'à la mi-mai minimum. J'appel GE pour leur dire que ça n'a pas de sens.

We had a condo built and it came with GE appliances. Our brand new side by side refrigerator's freezer side was not freezing the food. After many attempts to fix it, the GE tech said it had to be replaced. We were told about two weeks for replacement by one service person. I called when that time came and a different person began to tell me we we didn't have a replacement coming, then we did but it didn't leave yet, and then it wasn't on its way, then we got an email saying we weren't covered under warranty. I called again, found out we had two account claims created by customer service reps at GE, one saying one thing and one saying the other? Was given noting but the run area d for 3 -4 weeks, they refused to put me on with a manager or send a request to head office. We finally had a fridge in transit and when the company they hired showed up the refused to exchanges the fridges because we were on the second level and they said GE doesn't pay them enough to do that job and they left! My husband leaving work to meet them there 40 mins away and left him hanging! We called GE was given the run around again. They told us to hire someone as they are not responsible either? After fighting and arguing they got the company to agree to come back and send a new team…. That team came back a week later and refused as well because GE doesn't pay them enough to go up stairs (only $20 they said they got paid) but they pay another company more money… finally after flashing $$ at them they did it in 5 minutes. They came up with no problems! They fridge however was damaged on the side from shipping. At this point we were out a fridge/freezer for about a month! Lost hours at work and money in waisted food! GE was not sympathetic. We didn't even. Other complaining about the damage on the side because we knew it was a waste of breath and not worth anymore of our time getting worked up with the careless responses we would get. Please don't waste money on GE products, if you are covered under warranty you will be taken for a long stressful ride just to get your item replaced.
I bought a fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher all GE only because of the color of the appliances.
I wish I had done a review search before buying GE has been around for awhile so figured they were good could not have been more wrong.
First the dishwasher failed within the warranty period and called customer service, they sent someone out right away and found the needed to replace the mother board.
It took them three months to get the part and I am sure that this was just to burn off the rest warranty. So now it is fixed now the microwave door broke just out side of the warranty and it was not through abuse. Now the dishwasher motherboard went down again. Now the stove burners is turning off by itself and the oven is doing the same, just waiting for the fridge to go next.
The appliances are all most 4 years old, stay away from GE thier products are built very cheap and their customer service is far from good.
I purchased 2 GE Washing Machines - one last year and one 18 mos ago for 2 different homes. Suddenly water started pouring into washer when it was not being used. On the one that still had a warranty, GE serviced it twice with 2 different parts and still did not fix the problem. Now, on third visit, they tell me it's my water pressure and I should call a plumber. They refused to replace machine. NOTE that in 15 years, the water pressure was NEVER a problem, nor was it a problem in my other home, where the exact same thing is happening. They refused to address the problem other than to tell me it was my plumbing, which of course it is not. I will never buy another GE product again.
Don't believe GE and Home depots 48 hour warranty that they tell you about. I have been jacked around by both Home Depot and GE. Home Depot suggested having a product shipped to another zip code so I would receive it sooner. They loaded and sent me on my way. When I unboxed the refrigerator i noticed a small ding in door. After being on the phone all day home depot and GE said warranty was void because I hauled myself. Home Depot suggested the idea to me. They pretty much said its not their problem. I would not recommend either of these places.

LOST CONFIDENCE IN TECH BECAUSE OF THE BANGING AND DRILLING AND TIME SPENT ON WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SIMPLE REPAIR. HE EVEN HAD TO CALL HOME BASE (JERSEY APPLIANCE) FOR HELP. FEB 20 2022 FRIG IS WARM AND FOOD IN FREEZER HAS ALL DEFROSTED. CALLED JERSEY APPLIANCE FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE AND THE EARLIEST THEY CAN COME IS MARCH 2,2022. CALLED THE WARRANTY SERVICE AND THEY CAN'T HELP. THEY SAY JERSEY APPLIANCE IS THE ONLY COMPANY THAT WILL SERVICE MY AREA (OCEAN COUNTY NJ)

Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
