Our expensive GE over-the-range microwave has broken twice in two years. The second time we had to pay for it out of pocket. What absolute junk. DO NOT BUY GE APPLIANCES!

I purchased a full kitchen appliance set back in 2017. I know its been some time, but I just recently installed my microwave in a full kitchen remodel and when I went to use the bolts they provide to mount to the top cabinet, 1 bolt was damaged and can't thread properly. I reached out to customer service thinking this is nothing for them to replace a bolt. Well I was told I would have to buy a mounting kit for over $80.00 all just for 1 bolt that came damaged. What a joke this company is, cant even replace 1 measly bolt to make a customer happy who spent $3k on product. Well you wont be getting my support anymore over 1 bolt...

I purchased a GE Profile refrigerator and it has been nothing but trouble. After waiting a week for it to be delivered, it arrived with a dent in both of the French doors. They took that unit back and delivered another unit one week later only to arrive with a dent in one of the French doors and a gash on the inside of the other. Rather than send it back ( at this point it had been 2 weeks without a refrigerator) I agreed to have 2 doors shipped out to me. Tonight (the second unit was delivered yesterday) I opened the freezer to grab some ice cream and noticed droplets of water. I assumed the freezer was not closed fully so I pushed it in, only to watch it pop open after a couple of seconds. I'm not sure how this unit gets the 'good' reviews, just be warned, it's a piece of junk. Quality control is severely lacking.

11/13/20- Received replacement Washer/Dryer from P. C. Richards
11/20/20- Noise coming from Dryer this time

3/1/21-Dependable came to fix needed a part and said they would order the part.
3/25-Called dependable to see if part came in It had not and could not supply part number
And could not supply order number.
Contacted GE via email one week later asking for help in obtaining part and Dependable inability to offer an order number for part they were to order.
GE representative was unable to obtain order number from Dependable and proceeded to order part that they though were correct part. Received part and scheduled service call.
4/6/21 – Dependable came to install part that GE ordered which was not the correct part

4/7/21- Spoke with Amia from GE who ordered correct part (Order #*******493) will send tracking info
GE Replaced all components to my dryer & Washer.
6/17/22- Transmission leaking oil from my washer.
Do Not buy a GE Applicance. Customer Service Horrific

Failed within a few months

Purchased a Ge refrigerator Model number PVD28BYNCFS serial number ZS*******. Was delivered 2-17-2022 and the freezer failed 5-25-22. I called Ge on several occasions asking for a new unit as the compressor failed. Ge refused. They sent two different repairmen to my home (both saying I should get a new unit as this will never be the same as a new unit) and had to get a new compressor ordered. Today is June 7 2022 and the parts still have not been shipped to me! I now have no freezer no refrigerator no place to keep me food and GE doesn't care. They will not expedite the parts to be shipped faster, they wont give me a new unit and just keep passing the buck. Told me I should ask Lowes for a new unit! Lowes said since I started with GE they can't do anything. A $3000 fridge that wont last a few months is NOT worth it! I can't believe that an American Company treats its clients this bad! Never again will I

Stay away from GE

Absolutely the worst brand of products I've ever owned! Even our repair man said they along with LG, Samsung, whirlpool are made with cheap plastics and tear up regularly and are making him a rich man.
I've had nothing but PROBLEMS since I bought it. I HIGHLY ADVISE YOU STAY AWAY FROM GE and like alliances made out of country.

Great at FIRST

I will never buy a General Electric product ever again in my lifetime. Everything was great until less than a month after the warranty running out. Dryer has had a control panel replaced at less than a year old. Washing machine uses whatever temperature of water it chooses (I. E I set it for a warm wash, it fills the tub with freezing cold, just now I put an old blanket in that I always wash in cool water, check the load and it's full of PIPING HOT water.) yes, I have made sure the hoses are connected to the appropriate location and the filter screens are not dirty I also have softened water. The machine cannot balance a load properly half the time. Even if I put a small load in it gets jeans all jumbled up in an uneven disaster and causes the machine to go unbalanced. It tries to rebalance itself by constantly filling and draining itself which is a huge waste of water. I will say that yes, it does get my clothes clean at least. But everytime I do a load of laundry something always seems to go wrong with these machines. G a r b a g e. Washer model number: GTW750CPL1DG / Dryer model number: GTD75ECML1DG

If you want to experience the WORST customer service ever, please buy their fridge and wait for it to have problems. Our fridge has a horribly loud grinding noise every 50 mins after we bought for 2 months. When we contact the customer service after the weekends, the customer service guy who pick up the phone was speaking like he sounded so annoyed, pissed off and even yell at the phone when asking for my information. After bearing with his temper, I complained about the grinding noise and he just said "okay" and stay in silent. I don't understand why their fridge can cost me $3000+ and still offering this kind of services. WILL NEVER GOING TO BUY ANY APPLIANCES FROM THIS BRAND AGAIN.

This washer is horrible. No matter what kind of load you put in it goes off balance. Doing towels is impossible. We have leveled it and it still goes off balance. I DO NOT recommend this washer.

Place order for new range, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator in January. All delivered in April. Refrigerator was badly damaged and had to be returned. New refrig just came in in May and it has a damaged door. On top of that the door on the microwave has the steel delaminating from the plastic housing. I could get no help from the 800 service. Finally able to schedule a GE tech and he's coming from 300 miles away - I live 5 miles outside of Philadephia! Got no help from GE customer service. They are not even 1 star.

Bought the whole Ge Cafe line in July 2020. In May 2021 our dishwasher stopped working. After 8 visits and 11 months we finally were able to get a replacement dishwasher from GE/Mabe. As a family of 6 this was incredibly inconvenient for almost a year. Then in May 2022, our oven stopped working, needing a new cooling fan. This went to the extended warranty with King and State. King and State could not find any company to service our oven for this repair. We now have a less than 2 year old gas range with two ovens that does not work. With only a fraction of the original purchase price being credited, we will be out of pocket for a new oven. We are being told to take the partial credit and buy a whole new oven! We are also being told to purchase electric from another brand. Now I will have a mismatched oven with very expensive appliances in an open concept kitchen. The Brick should not sell warranty's for a company that can't find someone to repair. A cooling fan replacement should not require a whole new oven purchase. I bought gas for a reason and will now have to disconnect my gas line to install an electric range. This whole GE Cafe line is expensive and is of poor quality. Expect breakdowns and stay away from this line. It is not worth the cost or inconvenience.

Lied About Part Availability

Terrible experience. GE Parts told me it had in stock the item I needed (microwave handle) and that it would be shipped within 2 days. My credit card was charged immediately, but I did not receive email confirmation. For more than 2 weeks, online order status said "in process." Each time I called, they told me part was in stock and would be shipped the next day. Two weeks later with no shipment of the part, I tried to cancel the order, but GE Parts refused saying the part was in stock and ready to be shipped. The next day I called again, they said the part was due to be in stock the following week, but agreed to accept my order cancellation. I ended up ordering the part on line from Amazon with delivery actually occurring the next day. Trying to order from GE Parts cost me 3 weeks and much aggravation. Will never use GE Parts again.

Purchased a new $3,000.00 GE Profile Fridge 3-months ago from Home Depot.
The fridge worked for about 2-weeks and then Stopped cooling, wasting all food the items in the fridge and freezer costing us hundreds. Been fighting with GE to repair or replace the unit now for months and they continue to ship me parts and then we wait for weeks for a GE Service Tech to come to install the parts. They have been to our home twice with no luck and we are now being told that another part is required which requires the fridge casing to be cut to install. The GE Customer Service person is telling us once the cut into the fridge to replace this warranty part, that our warranty on the unit will no longer be valid! In talking with friends, we have learned that we are no the only people having issues with GE Profile units. In order to keep items cold we were forced to purchase a second small fridge for about $300.00 bucks that works better then the $3,000.00 GE Unit.

Do not buy GE appliances! All our GE appliances have needed a major repair before they were 5 years old. My microwave needed replaced after 2 years! Now my 5 year old dishwasher needs a new user interface board. Absolutely ridiculous! Nothing but junk and will never buy GE again!

Had to order new microwave but GE no longer makes 36". Was advised to order a 30" microwave and they could supply a filler kit. Received microwave but no filler kit. Waited over 2 months and GE kept giving different answers regarding ETA. Then without any notification to us cancelled our order and when I called they said it is discontinued and would offer no alternative and basically told us GE will not do anything for you - and to go have all your kitchen cabinets redone to fit a 30" microwave. Never again will I purchase another GE appliance. GE was great before this Chinese company Haier purchased the appliance division. If i would have known this before ordering this GE appliance I would have purchased another manufacturers product one who is reputable and cares about their customers.

I have moved into a brand new construction in October 2020, 4 months later out of the blue while I was cooking, the cooktop glass cracked. Nothing was dropped on top, just from the heat. Warranty said they couldn't do anything about it, so I had to buy a new stove, biggest mistake was to get the same stove. Exactly a year later THE SAME THING HAPPENED! I've never seen this before in my whole entire life. What a terrible quality! I would never recommend GE to my worst enemies. I can't even clean the stove now because I'm afraid I'm gonna get electrocuted.

Repair #6

So today I had my fifth repair and my convection oven is still NOT fixed. Repair person called GE relations and they want us to do yet another repair. Is six service calls acceptable, according to GE yes of course. I finally called GE instead of email and was livid with the representative (no cussing), she didn't care she hung up on me. GE does NOT care at all. They have wasted 25 hours of my work time that I will not get compensated for. Repair #1 2/21/22 Repair #2 3/15/22 Repair #3 3/31/22 Repair 4 4/22/22 Repair #5 5/10/22 waiting for parts in between these time. Now they want a service call #6. How will I be compensated for lost time at work and no use of my oven? There should be a class action lawsuit against GE and these ranges.
