Unfortunately, Gas Buddy is good for nothing more than finding the nearest gas station because prices are either out of date or faked by the station owners and managers. Great concept but total fail as there are no checks or balances to prevent fake news.

Tired of getting jerked around by gas buddy. So common it has to be intentional by someone and not just changing prices. Prices shown are alway 20-40 cents per gallon higher than shown, even when updated within minutes.

I paid the $9.99 per month for the premium program. Worked GREAT, until it didn't. I drive a diesel p/up, so every cent saved was a bonus! I optimized my savings by using the GB card concurrently with Supermarket Fuel Station points. This allowed me to save between $0.50 to over a $1.00 on occasion on top of the guaranteed $0.25 offered by using the GB Premium Member card.
And as I said, it worked GREAT for a few months... Until it didn't. Suddenly stopped working. When I researched the issue, I was notified that the account had been "Frozen" pending "Age verification." However, each time I attempted correct the issue via the app, it wouldn't accept the info provided and repeated indicated that the info was, "Invalid." And yet, I'm am continuing to be billed the $9.99 per month and ca t get help from GB to resolve the matter or cancel the account! NOT HAPPY.

This app WAS great and used to work all of the time. It was the number one app on my phone, and on anyone else's phone who asked me, but not anymore. Once they started shoving in more and more ads, and 'features,' all in the name of monetizing it, they took an excellent app and trashed it. Now it randomly crashes, prices are all on top of each other so you can't see the map, and it just became nightmare to use. And I'm certain that they have no intention of fixing it. Judging from all of the poor reviews here, I see I'm not alone in my disgust for this app. I will almost always use the specific station apps and sites that I want to frequent, rather than the GasBuddy app.

I've tried using this crap piece of shhhh card at several tanks after following the instructions to activate it, link my bank account, and my debit card and it still tells me that my driver Pin is invalid...this happens at the tank and inside at the cash register. I can never get this card to work and I honestly don't feel comfortable having my checking account linked to it if I can't ever use the card...I just deleted my account after being pissed off for the LAST TIME trying to use this price of Shhhh*** company's card.

9.99 a month fee even if you saved.25 per gallon they cap u at 50 gallons which is only 12.50 means you paid 10.00 to get 12.50 however I only saved.10 a gallon at 50 gallon I saved 5.00 paid 10.00 lost 5.00 the monthly membership is a joke a rip off scam noo cust service on sat n sun n a robot on week days you been ware run away

Don't use this website. It sells your location data and lies to you about saving money on gas. I got a subscription when they said I would save an automatic 50 cents on every gallon of gas up to a maximum saving of $50 per month. Got the card in the mail after 3 weeks (because it takes that long for a card to travel 4 US states over), activated it, and then they said I would save "up to 25 cents per gallon". WOHHHHHH that's not what you said before! A guaranteed 50 cents per gallon is not the same as "up to 25 cents". Tested it out in the app, saved a gas deal in the area, should've saved around $5 for this fill up, saved only $1.47, I was pissed. I paid $10 for Gridwise Plus to even be able to apply to Gasbuddy and then another $10 to upgrade to the guaranteed 50 cents off per gallon. I have been disappointed at every turn. I'm cutting them off and giving Uber Gas a try. Cause this is a SCAM!

You report these jerks to GasBuddy, their account is closed, but within hours, the fake prices are back under a new account. What's the point? I just go to the station I know is always the cheapest.

I live in Ohio ******* and someone is posting wrong qas prices at one of our local Krogers store. It has been going on for about a week now. From $3.47 to $3.09. How are we suppose to trust Gas Buddy when I drive miles to get their and find that is a false price? Their has to be a save guard in their system.

WRONG PRICE AFTER DRIVE TO 4 DIFFERENT GAS STATONS WASTING MORE MONEY THAN SAVING...No reply to comments in google play store and when try to call it says we don't support our own app then forces a hangup. Useless:
App keeps crashing every time click on a Gastation for Navigation. Also Half the gas stations show three blank lines with no prices. Note: APP CRASHES UPON OPENING... Now I see why they are rated 1 star with thousands of complaints against them...

No matter what you do, the app and the website will never allow you to cash out your savings. Second, the even if you wanted their card they will never send it to you. Get a cash back credit card for gas, you will actually get money out of that, but not with Gas Buddy. A complete Fraudulent app.

Why is gas so expensive in sherbrooke compared to other areas. Magog which is 10 mins away is so much cheaper?
Even costco is more expensive than Magog.

In 2022 I emailed GasBuddy requesting my account statements. To my surprise what I was given was some amateurish Excel spreadsheet type deal email back to me with only four entries even though I have held a card for approximately 3 years. I then went to my bank where I questioned numerous GasBuddy charges to my bank account again I reached out to GasBuddy inquiring about all of these charges. Never got a response from GasBuddy and come to find out when an update on the app was required in order to continue using it then somehow sent another card apparently to an old address assuming Lee at any rate these charges were upwards of almost $100 a day on approximately three vehicles and a motorcycle all of which I don't own. I've still been unable to get anyone with GasBuddy to address all these suspicious charges to my bank account that equivalates to approximately almost $1,000. Needless to say not only have I canceled the card but I also have my bank investigating. Best thing to do don't do it if you have it get rid of it cancel it so that any suspicious charges will stop and immediately contact your bank

I just activated my card and savings, but I got an email right after I filled up THAT I COULD HAVE SAVED IF I WOULD HAVE ACTIVATED MY SAVINGS. WHEN I DID ACTIVATE BEFORE I FILLED. DON'T TRUST GAS BUDDY

Even when these crooks answer your emails and ask for an answer, they block the area that they designate for you to type an answer. Really worthless people.
