Expensive mistake
August 10, 2018

I got some root roses and a clematis, the latter was fine but all but one rose failed. Emailed, no reply.

Because I am stupid, I decided to give them another go and ordered a wisteria trained on a trellis. A wisteria came but not trained and nowhere near worth the price paid. Apparently my complaint has been escalated to management - who have ignored it.

They are one step away from fraudsters. Avoid.

I received my order on time but I thought it was one Clematis and not the two I ordered. On inspection it was indeed two plants in 3 inch pots bound together in black plastic. BOTH plants had broken main stems and one in three places! Disgusted and disappointed. If you are proud of your garden stay clear of this company.

AWFUL

Absolutely disgraceful- should be shut down. I ordered a rose for my friend for last xmas -it arrived in July half dead and full of blackspot. They do not return emails or answer their phone! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Absolute RIP OFF - never again. Plants are advertised in a way that is different to any other plant company and that is not made clear.

So I paid £30 quid for one that could have had for £10 elsewhere.

After sales takes about 6 weeks to get back to you and even then they have not read the email anyway - they just send back standard copy paste rubbish.

You can return the dodgy plants but at your expense.

Never again. Be warned...

Finally received an email from Garden express and after a few email exchanges they send me replacement plants.
The process was slow but they put things to right at the end.

Never buy anything from this " Company" it has one single Director, no customer service and as you will discover if you buy and are dissatisfied you have to pay postage costs (not recoverable). In short I am about to sue them and report them to Trading Standards.

It took 16 days for the plants to arrive. Most were dead on arrival and the others are diseased and dying. They do not have a phone number and do not answer emails DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Apalling

First time order of 5 plants all arrived practically dead. Immediately took picture and emailed it to them... no response. Sent 2nd email with further pictures... still no response. They dont take phone calls... Just appalling so my advise is to go elsewhere...

My monkey puzzle tree arrived within 10 working days, and was in great shape (as shown in photograph). Soil was moist which was surprising in this hot weather, but the plant is very healthy and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Do not under any circumstances buy from Gardening Express. They falsely advertised olive trees and arrived as young plants rather than fully grown trees. There is no one to speak to in customer service and they took several days to respond. There was no apology and I now need to spend a fortune returning them.

Basically they are stealing people's money and getting away with it. They need to be stopped.

Absolutely shocking. The only thing express about them is taking your money. Items delivered not of good quality and description on website of at least one item very misleading. Items ordered took ages for delivery. No telephone for customer support and no response to queries submitted through on-line system. Do not use this company, thoroughly unreliable and dismissive of customers?

So update after relentless emails and ticket requests everything still unanswered. They have shipped my order, although I asked for it to be cancelled. I now have reported them to the police so at least they should be investigated. When you google the address a address starting with cottage now comes up check it out 192.
If you try and reach out to them on Facebook they block you, again check it out all comments are blocked. Trading standards are also aware and have contacted me as also the company house have been in contact regarding this company. GDPR is non compliance, again I have asked them how they store my data ect. By law they have to respond within a month again GDPR are aware of my complaint. AVOID AVOID AVOID

So now after 15 days I am still waiting for a reply and even my order. They refuse to reply on Facebook they will not allow comments. I sent them messages yesterday and now they have blocked me. Trading Standards, watchdog, citizens advice and police have been informed. They are a total sham and it is theft an need to be shut down. PLEASE PLEASE NOBODY BUY FROM THEM. You will be out of pocket. I am down £126.34
