Item ordered 3 days ago hasnt even shipped. Said they take up to 6 fays to ship sn order but they have a labor shortage and it is now taking 2 weeks (9 business days) and in the meantime i have varmints eating my seedlings. Never bothered to send ne a notice and will not cover costs to expedite shipping methods even though it is their failure, not mine. Will not order from them again.

I placed an order of Amarilys plant to surprise my mother in law for her birthday. The picture was showing three flowers. I ordered fast to received asap. We received almost two weeks after and. Surprise! I received three flowers holders... called customer service and the lady told me sorry we are not responsable you order base on the first picture. Your had to take a look of others pictures to see the product. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RETURN...!
Very nice Customer service! First and last time with this company!

Waited 3 months for my order and when it came I was overcharged for their already high shipping. However, they charge your credit card immediately. It took many calls to resolve the problem and I was told that I would be refunded in approximately a month IF they determined I was overcharged. Very frustrating, I will never do business with them again. Everything about this company is designed to benefit them and take advantage of the consumer.

I ordered product from Gardener's Supply Company in May 2021. Every ship date given was delayed with ZERO communication initiated by the company. Every time I had to contact them for an update. They did respond to my emails, but the responses were pretty blaze. After four months of no product and multiple emails, I sent an email expressing my complete dissatisfaction. In their response to this email, they were apologetic and stated they would escalate my order for review. Still no unsolicited response, I had to contact them to inquire about the review. After four months I now have a ship date, we will see. There are way too many other gardening supply companies out there, I would not use this company again. I feel this order could have easily been lost had I not have kept on them. They charge me for the product in May when I ordered, it's now September.

Unbelievably poor service
August 27, 2021

Unbelievably poor service from this company. I ordered a planter box in April, which it said would be delivered in May. In May, I emailed them and they said it will ship later than expected, with a new date of 6/25.

On 6/27 I emailed them for an update, to which they replied "your order should ship on 7/2 at the latest". Of course, by now the planter wouldn't be much good for this year, but I was patient and figured I can get it in place and I'll be set up for next year. Still nothing happened. On 8/5, I e-mailed them again and they said it should "ship out by the end of the week or early next week". Guess what- still nothing. E-mail again on 8/25 and got this totally ridiculous response- "unfortunately, the planter is on back order until 12/25" "we apologize for the delay".

WOW- just WOW...

In April we bought a watering can star shower and loved it. In late June we had an unexpected heavy midnight storm that damaged the display, and it would no longer light up. We talked with Gardeners but didn't expect anything since this was in no way their fault nor a defect in the display. This very pleasant lady said "We stand by our products." Yesterday in the mail we received an entirely new watering can star shower. Now that's a company that truly does stand by it products snd customers. We highly recommend the star shower as it adds beauty to any outdoor setting. But if you get one make sure you get it from Gardeners, not one of the imitations.

On May 20th, Ordered and paid for hi rise sprinkler, never received it. Called and they said it got lost. They said they would send me another. Have never received it. It is now July 9th. Gardener supply is the worst!

Will not use again

I am a pretty serious gardener. Back in late March I ordered some peony cages. When I ordered I was told to expect them in May. When they didn't arrive I went to the website to cancel my order because I needed something at that point. When I went to my account the order wasn't there. It had disappeared so I couldn't cancel. I assumed the items weren't available and they had cancelled my order. I replaced what I didn't get from them for about $50. Turns out what I bought locally was better than their product. Now (July) the order showed up on my card and at my door. Too late to be of any use and costing more than 4 times the replacement! I ordered one other time thru Amazon and that worked fine. Avoid going directly to their website. Amazon gives much better options when things go wrong.

I ordered an elevated planter box in March. I was told the Cedar was backordered, but the Cypress was in stock. So I ordered it and bought my 300 quarts of potting soil. It has still not arrived and it's mid June 20! I keep asking if it's been shipped and 3 days later I get an email telling me it has been delayed. They keep moving the ship date another 1-2 weeks, but then it doesn't ship on those dates either! They never tell me it's delayed. Said they will tell me when it's shipped! I want the bed at this point, but I will never order from them again. Horrible customer service. If they would just have been honest with me about the expected ship dates, I would have gone elsewhere or not purchased the potting soil, sitting in my driveway all summer.

My second order was a disaster. I saw their offer on Amazon but went direct to them and placed the order which indicated the product would be delivered June 12 and they would send shipping info soon. On June 16 I asked when I could expect the shipment and was told never because they had suppler problems. Why didn't they notify me earlier?

On Dec 19,2020 I ordered an elevated planter bed due to my hip and back issues. I contacted them multiple times and they told me mine was ready to ship every time I called. I just read an email from them stating they couldn't fulfill the order. It is JUNE 2021! Wtf. Horrid experience. Never again.

My credit card was charged even though I did not place an order. I repeatedly emailed them in order to fix the problem, but never received a response. I have spent several hundred dollars with this business, but I will never purchase from them in the future.

Would have given zero stars, but you can't. Ordered an instock item on Friday. Recieved no follow up info about order. Called Wed and the lady assured me my order shipped on Wed. No product showed up, called the following Friday, on hold for a TOTAL of 40 mins to find out the product has not shipped yet? The guy said "that's the way we do business". DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. ZERO customer service skills. They do not know how to run a shipping department. Plus, I don't even know how good the product is, I have to wait 4 + more days to find out. What a JOKE of a business. Wait, calling them a business is too kind, what a JOKE of a place.

I ordered Gracie arbor on May 18. The product looks beautiful, unfortunately, Gardeners could not deliver it. I was waiting for over 2 weeks, called customer service 3 times, was told "it's coming directly from the vendor, and we cannot contact the vendor (!)". And, "it's usually 48 hours before it's shipped and you receive a tracking number". On the next call "it takes up to two weeks to ship". On the next call "it takes up to 9 business days to ship". On the 3rd and the last call, after 2-week wait "It's on the back order".
I can't even express my frustration. I have two trees waiting to be planted after the arbor installation. I told that to the customer service begging them to find out for sure what's happening with my order. It's too hot here in June and the trees now may die because they delayed a simple investigation for so long.
Never again am I dealing with this company. They only look real.

Customer Service is an Absolute Void

I am trying to be heard by this company because they have a lot of my money as well as my professional reputation in their hands.

I ordered a raised bed planter and 16 bags of soil for my client on May 4th. The planter was scheduled to ship out May 7th.
About 10 days later I received an email from them saying the planter won't ship till mid June now (appx 6 weeks later). Their email told me to contact them if this would be a problem, which I promptly and repeatedly did. They have yet to respond.

Now all I have is an expensive pile of bagged wicking bed soil (useless without the right planter) and an install deadline that is becoming imminent.

Their customer service line is entirely absent and the gaps in communication are killing me. I'm coming into a professional and financial bind, still receiving no support, been emailing and calling for a five days to no avail. I really just feel helpless, so here I am on yelp.

I am seeking either another option, a refund, an alternate product, or some recommendation toward a timely solution but they have yet to respond.

I've cumulatively spent about 4 hours waiting for someone to pick up a phone. The line just rings. Left several messages.

If you can't support your customers, you shouldn't be in business. Seriously, step it up.

They stink

A planter I ordered is two weeks late. When I called to inquire, my 1st customer service contact put me on hold and never came back. After 15 minutes on hold I hung up and called again. My 2nd customer service contact just hung up on me, or dropped the call after a few seconds so I called again. My third customer service contact took all my information, said she'd check on my order and that she would contact me within 24 hours, which never happened.

After ordering a fancy Cast Aluminum & Cedar VegTrug for my wife for 2021 Mothers Day, The packages came completely damaged when tried to return they gave me the run around. The first time after being on the phone with them for 45 minutes waiting I got a nice lady that forced me to open the damaged package to see if the product was damaged, after I confirmed that there was indeed damage to the legs of the stand, she told me to retrieve a Packing Slip and return both packages to the address she provided to me. She told me that they will not reimburse me for the return shipment which I am sure will cost a lot since it is more than 50 pounds. After the call was over, I opened the second box of planks to look for the packing slip but there was none. No Packing Slip. So I look at the product to see if it could be assembled anyway even though it was damaged and long and behold none of the pre-drilled holes in the planks lined up with the holes in the metal stands and in order to assemble the VegTrug planks would need to be re-drilled but the holes would almost be on the ends resulting in an inferior connection and less than impossible weight support. So I called back again and after 53 minutes I spoke to another agent and told her that the Package was damaged, Product was damaged and there was an manufacturer defect and there was no packing slip. Then she put me on hold and after 25 minutes the call was disconnected on their side. Then I called back in and after 25 minutes or so, I spoke to a very nice gentleman that listened to what I had to say, He read the comments that the previous people had imputed and then promised to email me a shipping slip by the end of the day. That's why it has $ 100 price reduction but seriously they should just dump the rest of this product in the garbage. Why should anyone buy something that has a manufacturers defect. Regardless we intend to purchase the regular VegTrug when I receive my refund which they told me will take 2-3 weeks. So whatever you buy from Gardener don't by the Cast Aluminum & Cedar VegTrug because the product has been designed to make the buyer suffer and suffer I did.

The Employee Owners of this company should be ashamed of the service they provide. It's impossible to get through just to report an issue. No response to email, on hold for >40 minutes after being given an estimated wait time of 16 minutes. Received a damaged product after waiting 6 weeks for it. I will never shop there again. So disappointed.

TERRIBLE

Let me start by saying I rarely take time to write reviews, and I am fully aware of the challenges business face during Covid, from supply chain to staffing issues. That being said, I place an order for two items 6 weeks ago (at the end of March), with an expected arrival date of about a week later. Three weeks later, I called customer service (who were very nice) and they said the item was back ordered and it was expected to ship at the end of April. Ok, fine. I get it. So I called four 5 weeks after I had placed the order, and I was told the items were back ordered and wouldn't ship until the middle of May. At this point I asked to just cancel the order because I could no longer use the items, but was told that wasn't possible because the items were in a "picking" status. Ok, fine. I'd just send them back when I received them. The middle of May rolls around and still no shipping status updates, so I call back. After being on hold for 10 minutes, I was told the items wouldn't ship until May 28th! WTF. I'm upset about the fact the supplier hadn't shipped the items to Gardener's Supply, but I understand the supply chain challenges right now. What I cannot understand is that I had not received any sort of shipping update from Gardens Supply the entire time, to let me know the items wouldn't be received anywhere close to when I had initially expected them. This happened three times on the same order! I personally will never order anything from them again, and I would encourage others to do the same. I would give 0 stars based if that were an option.
