The worst ever on so many levels! The florist located in ******* (Wortham in Houston) didn't deliver anything like what I purchased. I was so embarrassed! The pathetic foreign representative wouldn't tell me who the florist was, but gave me a $12 refund - like that was supposed to change everything! They wouldn't replace it because it didn't stay in the funeral home, but was sent to my friend's home afterwards as is customary. AND... he took the number of a family member to call and offer and apology, but never did. They are pathetic and unethical and I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

I ordered flowers for my mom which were to be delivered the day before Mother's Day. What happened with these clowns? I received an e-mail 8 hours prior to Mother's Day informing me my mother's flowers won't be able to be delivered until the Tuesday following Mother's Day. So, obviously I will never do business with these people again and I advise anyone who is considering using this company to re-consider. You might be better off dealing with a local flower shop as they may be more reliable.

I ordered
December 28, 2013

I ordered - and paid extra for - a Christmas Eve delivery for a gift. 1/3 of my purchase expense ($160 total) was delivery fees, and yet they still did not get it right. The gift showed up almost a week early, completely ruining the surprise that I had set up. I called customer service, and they agreed to resend the gift (the surprise was ruined, but I still wanted the impact of what I had set up). However, they never resent it. In fact, about 10 minutes after hanging up, I received an e-mail stating my request to cancel the order was denied. WTH? I never requested a cancellation. I called a bit later and after getting some run around about delivery windows being several days, the girl again agreed to resend the gift. NEVER WAS RECEIVED. Not only was the surprise ruined but *everything* I had arranged around the gift showing up on Christmas Eve was ruined. What jerks. And again... I was charged extra for a Christmas Eve delivery.

I actually use FTD for my business to send gifts to clients, employees, and other business relations. We spend about $4-10k a year but after this experience I will be setting up with a new vendor. And of course I will be closing my personal account.

My suggestion to anyone who sends gifts via FTD... ask the recipient to send you pictures to see how close the intended item is to reality. You will find there is often a HUGE difference.

Flowers do not arrive when promised. When they do arrive, they are cheap and poor quality. Customer service is a joke. Don't expect to get your money back.

SYNOPSIS: Birthday flowers were never delivered, even though it was ordered the day before, and the flowers ordered were being promoted as same day delivery. FTD would not provide the name or contact information for the local affiliated florist they had chosen to use, which was primarily requested in order to more closely monitor the situation, and later requested so that a review could be written about their lack of service.

This is what I found when researching FTD: "FTD, formed in 1910, offered the first flowers-by-wire service. It is owned by holding company FTD Group (formerly Mercury Man Holdings), which was acquired in 2008 by Internet service provider United Online." [http://www.hoovers.com/company/FTD_Inc/crstri-1.html]

I guess that would explain it, just another huge faceless internet corporation that is not concerned with providing a reputable personalized service. Why should they? United Online bought name recognition going back to 1910 for $800,000,000. [http://www.zdnet.com/blog/btl/bizarre-merger-of-the-day-united-online-buys-ftd-group/8664]. They also own Classmates.com, MyPoints, NetZero, and Juno, can simply rest on the laurels that someone else built, and capitalize on their internet marketing savvy and the volume they receive from the uninformed internet masses.

For a first time FTD.com user very unsatisfied. Today is Feb. 14th Valentine's Day. A wife receiving flowers at work makes her day, and not receiving them is reverse case. Like FTD failed to do so. Customer service I spoke to was very unsympathetic, offered a discount on my next order (unacceptable) I requested a full refund. I was not going to pay for a service I did not receive. I do not want a discount because I will never use FTD in the future. If I had my way I would try to encourage other to not use their services as well.

Thanks,
FIRST AND LAST TIME FTD USER.

They have no clue what their doing. Flowers were supposed to be delivered same day, 3 days later still were not. Then they gave me a hard time giving me a refund and was on the phone with them for about 30 minutes repeating my order number to about 5 different people. Sigh. And I missed the surprise.

Dishonest/Fraud
February 25, 2009

Dishonest/Fraud -
Paid $106.00 for a Waterford Crystal vase with a bouquet of flowers for my wife on valentines day. When the package arrived it was totaly diffrent from what I ordered, it was a cheap very thin vase thats not even worth $1.00 in the dollar store and the flower arrangment was yellow, white and peach and look very cheap(same arragement was $29.99 on ftd website with a big SOLD OUT on it) where I ordered them RED just like the picture... When I called, I told them that the wrong order came and that I ordered a Waterford Crystal arrangment, they apologized and asked if I want them to send the right order but it won't reach till the following Tues. I told them no it was for my wife for Valentines, they again apologized and said they understand and would refund me my money. I said yes and if you want me to send back the wrong order and they told me no, so I said no prob.

Today I looked on my cc statement and two charges of $106 and a refund of $26.00... Called ftd to find out that they refund me 30% for the vase, huh? Tried telling them thats not what I agreed on and thats not what ftd cr told me so I asked to speak to a supervisor however she was worst than the cr... anyway called cc company and told them what happened and its under investigation... Watch out for these CROOKS, never again...

Misrepresentation
October 13, 2008

Misrepresentation - My daughter sent Southwest Sassiness to her Nana for her birthday. If you look at this arrangement on the web site, it looks like a beautiful, full arrangement with "Peruvian lilies" in a lovely ceramic vase with orange and gold zig-zag lines gojng all around the vase. The vase was nice... the flowers were a sparse 7 sprigs of wilted flowers! I was embarassed for her and would think that FTD would NOT want such an embarassing arrangement be connected with their business!
