Every meal in our first (1/2 price) shipment tasted great. The only negative -- and its a very big one for my husband -- is the portion size. The portion size simply will not do for a "guy-size" meal. I had to supplement his meal with salad, etc., and I had been hoping your meals could serve as an occasional full meal. (My son and I were completely satisfied with the serving size, but we eat small portions.)
I have enjoyed every meal I have ordered from Freshly and plan to order again in the future. Fresh meals with no gluten, added sugar or artificial ingredients with generous portion sizes fits into my nutrition plan! I easily spend the cost of a Freshly meal at a restaurant so the price is right too!
I subscribed to Freshly as I was looking for meals already prepared and ready to heat and eat. I'd looked at several programs that sent all the ingredients, but still required time to cook the meals- I can do that on my own.
After reading some reviews, I tried Freshly and am now a Freshly Addict! My husband really likes the meals: portions are substantial, food is outstanding, and so easy to order. I'm telling everyone I can, even in the grocery store line!
I have a long commute and get home late. By the time I get home, I don't want to spend a half hour or more cooking dinner only to go to bed soon after. Then I found Freshly and it fit my needs perfectly. I come home and heat up a fresh, healthy meal and eat it instead of stopping for fattening fast food. Now Freshly may be more expensive than fast food, but it is so much better for me. I've also liked all the meals I've tried so far and will continue to order from Freshly until my commute isn't so horrid. Thanks for a great service.

Just amazed at how good Freshly is. Most of their meal offerings actually taste better than what you would get in a restaurant. These meals are very satisfying, with wonderful flavors... and the convenience can't be beat. The Lebanese Meatballs are a double home run!
To begin with the package stated we only had to microwave for 2 min. I to microwave over 5 mins and it was only warm. That was for the meatloaf and chicken. I wrote and told them and they credited a small amount. We think that your entrees are very tasty. We do take them out of the container and put on a plate. Heats better. We also like that we do not have to buy every week as there are times we won't be eating at home.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience with the heat times--they will definitely vary depending on the microwave. Also make sure you're reheating from a refrigerated state, not frozen.:-) (Sometimes people aren't sure about that.) We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the service overall. I've needed healthy cooked food variety in my diet for some time. Freshly makes very high quality reasonably priced entrees that I can comfortably eat knowing they'll taste good and be good for me.
I have an auto immune disease and I must eat gluten free meals. Freshly is perfect for me, no meal planning shopping or cooking! Yay! I struggle with the gluten free thing and this is really helping me! Very high quality food and tasty too!
My husband and I are both perfessionals and do not have a lot of time to cook. Before Freshly, we would buy healthy ingrediants with the intention of making healthy meals, but when we would get home from work we would be to exhausted to cook and would order take out. Not only was this unhealthy but expensive. We decided to try Freshly thinking it would be similar to lean cuisines. To our surprise these meals far exceeded our expectations. The meals are amazing, the veggies are fresh, the sauces taste great and it only takes 2-3 minutes to warm up.
I have tried a few delivery meal services, this knocked it out of the park. The taste you can not get anywhere else. I was so surprised how much I loved the meals. The portions are great and good, healthy food.
I was pleasantly surprised with the delivery. The food was packaged nicely, while the portions were not huge, I felt extremely satisfied with the flavor and amount and stayed full for a long time after eating the meal. I would definitely recommend this service to others.

I am only on my 4th meal. So far, all the chicken has been terrific. The steak was grodd. The texture was hard to eat and, in fact, I threw away about half. The meat was fatty and hard to chew. At first it didn't seem like meat but I finally figured it had been tenderized. The green beans seemed old and hard. The other dishes have been good and the whole idea has improved my quality of dinners.

The food tastes very good. Love that there is no preservatives. It's a little costly, but it's great when you don't feel like cooking and are on the run. Keep up the good work Freshly.
The Food is extremely tasty, and flavorful. The packages come with huge ice packs and the food is cold and fresh- and this was even after delivery being a couple hours prior to me arriving home from work.
I was unaware the meals are good for only five days, and I have a six meal plan. Customer service explained everything to me and how I could freeze meals that are saucy to preserve it so I could eat it. Should have asked how long to microwave it.
My three meals from the previous week that I couldn't eat as they were expired were credited to my account as I didn't understand before my call. It was easy and pleasant customer service experience.
I love all the meals, flavors and quality are always amazingly fabulous! BUT unfortunately I do have one complaint - all six of my meals had the same expiration date - three days after I received my shipment. I decided to chance it and eat them anyway and so far so good. The food is always really fresh and the packaging is good quality so it stays sealed and fresh until you eat it. It tastes like a home cooked meal with none of the waste and prep time. Because the meals are loaded with good for you nutrients, they really fill me up. I eat one meal for lunch at work and usually I'm still full by dinner. It's definitely a better way for me to eat well at an affordable price.

There's definitely a shorter "best by" date time frame than say, frozen meals from the grocery store. Think of it like if you were to cook yourself something at home from fresh ingredients and then store it in the refrigerator--it's fresh and without preservatives, so it's not going to be as tasty and safe for as long as something prepackaged.:-)
Quite a few customers do freeze their meals if they have some left over past the "best by" date--I've heard that it doesn't change the flavor or quality really--you just need to thaw them in the refrigerator prior to reheating after freezing them.:-D
My husband and I were skeptical about how good microwavable already-prepped meals could be, but our current work schedules forced us to try something out of desperation. We were impressed by the delivery presentation itself, and stunned over how good the first meals we tried were. Every single meal since has been outstanding! I cannot believe how successful Freshly is at giving you filing portions as well as super flavorful and delicious entrees. My husband even ate the green beans (he HATES green beans) and declared them good. I'm ecstatic to have found Freshly and blown away by the affordability. We're very grateful to be able to eat healthy so cost effectively.
I was a Plated customer when I came across Freshly. For less money I didn't have to cook (Woo Hoo). Less packaging and I didn't have to deal with leftovers plus I could have breakfast. I recycle everything including the containers the food comes in so I don't feel guilty about the packaging. Yes, some may say it's expensive but it keeps me from buying impulse items at the grocery stores like chips, cookies, ice cream, etc. so it actually saves me money. Plus I live far from a grocery store so the free shipping saves me gas money.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
