I got your meals on the day I was told to expect them. They were packaged nicely and the gel packs were still frozen. I was surprised they were in a box and not a cooler. I admit I was hesitant to try at first because I had read some bad reviews. Everything looked fine in the box, none of the meals were melted on or wet. I cooked them longer than it said on the package because I wanted to make sure they were thoroughly heated. I did leave them in the tray when I ate them.
The first meal I tried was the meatloaf. I loved it. It was excellent and the portions were big. I was plenty full when I was done. I was very pleased. I loved all of the meals that I ordered and the serving sizes were perfect. I loved the Sausage and Green Chili Frittata, I loved the Seared Pork Chop, I loved the Flat Iron Steak, I loved the Chicken Rustica, and I loved the Coconut Salmon. I think that you could say I loved everything. Lol The only thing that I didn't love was having to cancel the service because of the price. I saw Freshly on Facebook and wanted to give it a try since the first week was 6 meals for $30. I am single and don't cook. I usually buy frozen dinners at the store, but they don't fill me up. I am low income and can't continue to order the 6 meals at the normal price. I wish I had discovered Freshly before I did, when I could afford to pay $69 a week. I don't know how long you have been around, but I wish I had known about you before my Mom had her stroke in Nov. 2015. We could have been ordering from you and eating healthy meals instead of eating the junk we were having delivered every night. It was pretty much the same. Pizza, sandwiches, and Chinese food. If we had been eating the healthy meals from Freshly on a regular basis then my Mom might not have had a stroke and would still be alive.
I am so disappointed that I can longer order meals from you. At least, not right now. Maybe I can start again sometime in the future. I sure hope so.
I'm a new working mom and so cooking is just not happening these days. This gives me an easy way to get diverse, healthy meals into my diet while exposing my little one to a wide variety of tastes. I love it!
Can you imagine receiving a package of healthy food that looks good and TASTES great? That's exactly what happened when I opened my first box from Freshly. Each dish tastes like it's been marinating in seasonings for hours. Good flavor all through... I'm so pleased with their meals. I never have to cook again!
My husband and I love to cook, and have enjoyed making complex meals together; however, he is traveling more, and we just don't have the time to make the great meals we used to. Also, we live in a remote location where dining out has limited options and take out is not available. We can't even order pizza, but our Freshly box comes to our door right on schedule. We have been really pleased with our Freshly meals and now can devote time to one or two really nice home cooked meals on the weekend.
I've enjoyed the Freshly meals. I've had (2) orders of the (21), meals, and recommended it to my family.
4 days and no response. Thinking of going back to NW Fit Meals
However, since the new site change, I've been displeased. I can order anything BUT the 21 meals. The emails they sent me today (4/19/16) STATE - "ORDER MEALS UP TO 4 WEEKS IN ADVANCE.", however, when I go to do so. I receive this message - "Delivery date unavailable. Unfortunately there's no delivery day available to ship to you within the next 3 weeks. Please try a different plan or come back to Freshly next week.
If I click any other meal, option, it can deliver by the following week.
I sent an email to their "customer service", on 4/15/16, and have not heard a single word from them. Today is 4/19/15.
"Our normal business hours are 8AM-4PM PST, Monday-Sunday. We typically respond to emails within 1 day." That definitely didn't happen.
On top of that... when they offered the Pepper Corn Steak... it must have changed to the Beef Provencal... and didn't tell a soul, because I was not informed, and that's all I received. 0 Peppercorn. Come on guys.
I have eaten six of their meals so far (have not tried any of the breakfast ones). I am impressed with the taste, and it is much better than I expected coming from a glorified TV dinner. Almost restaurant quality. Also they are for the most part healthy (some a bit high in sodium). My only issue is the portion sizes. I'm an active guy and I regularly eat more than 400-500 calories in one meal. If they had 50% more food I'd say that would be just about right. But I've supplemented my meals so far with a salad so far and that has worked well.
I know of no other way to get their attention than to post this publicly.

I am so happy that I found Freshly. I was a little nervous when I placed my first order. I was thinking, great, another tasteless (but prepared by someone else) kinds of meals - NOT! What amazing freshness and total quality! I recommend freshly to everyone and am so happy I found this service.
Wow! I had no idea that something like this even existed until my brother showed it to me.
And these guys are really setting the bar high.
The meals are absolutely delicious! The packaging looks gorgeous. It's convenient. And it's healthy. The meals are low in carbs (and it's all complex carbs), high in protein and good amount of fat. They're well-balanced, and they taste spectacular!
I would HIGHLY recommend giving freshly a try!
I was looking for some healthy, tasty, and convenient alternatives for lunch and dinner and was pleased with the options that Freshly offered. Not only that, my daughter really liked looking through the meal selections to choose some options for herself. An overall win for the family!
This stuff is actually restaurant quality. Every flavor stands out and the prep is top notch. Very unexpected with such quality, even picky hubby loved it.
I love ordering meals online. I started months and months ago with Blue Apron, but the time it took to prepare the meals for two (it was just me) started to get pretty expensive. I ran into Freshly while browsing Facebook and decided to give it a shot. Opening the box is the best because it smells great. I like that I can transport the meals to work with me or just pop it in the microwave after a long day and get a healthy meal. It's helped tame my fast cravings to only 1x a week which is spectacular. This is a great product and my sister just joined as well after trying one of the meals.
Freshly meals arrive on time, are well " refrigerated" and tasty. Be aware that each "serving"(package) is narked as 1.5 servings, a bit annoying, but I did find the amt often was more than I could eat. The 1/2 serving left though, was not enough for another meal. I was very pleased with the freshness and flavored.
I am currently on a restricted diet. No gluten, dairy or sugar. Must use specific oils, etc. The Freshly meals were (aside from dairy) all made within my dietary constraints! I just steer away from the meals containing dairy and I am a happy camper. I was tired of the clean food I was cooking for myself and the ability to just put a clean, healthy, already prepared meal in the microwave was so convenient.

If I could give them negative stars I certainly would! I was so excited to sign up for a healthy- food delivery service for my family's busy weekdays but I haven't even received my first delivery yet and I'm already disappointed!
After seeing their ad on Facebook, I went to their website and everything looked amazing so I proceeded to sign up. The default delivery date showed this Friday and I discovered I was unable to change the delivery date to next week (as I know I will be out of town this weekend for Easter). On this same screen it states, "You can change the day later," so I went on through the purchasing process. I selected the $129 plan for 12 meals a week which I felt was worth it considering the time I would save during the week. After completing my order I could not find anywhere that would let me change the date. I searched all over the site and the Help section with no luck so I emailed customer service with my concerns immediately after placing the order.
Their reply was absolutely shocking. Shocking because it's 2016 and Customer Service is key to the success of any business and Freshly could care less if they address my issue. They basically told me that the order was already processed and suggested that I donate the food or give it to a friend if I don't want it. I never said I did not want the delivery, it just needs to come next week because I will be out of town Fri-Sun so no one would be there to receive the order.
I cannot wrap my mind around how they believe this is an acceptable reply to my email. I'm a brand new customer that expressed my concerns about the delivery date 4 days prior to delivery and literally as soon as I placed the order.

Have only had 2 meals as I take them for lunch. They are a little caloric and high in fat. I am ok with that as I know the fat is good fat. I do far fill up and feel satisfied. I did not answer all questions as I am new
First off, I felt full when done, where I normally want to keep eating. I also feel so much better now. I have been eating carbs galore before starting Freshly. I gained a ton of weight quickly, and I have felt horrible. Since I've eaten 4 Freshly meals I feel so good! The chicken, pork chop, and meatloaf, we're so very tasty, and not dry. I didn't have to to add anything, for the flavor was delicious. My daughter found your site for me, because she knows I won't cook for myself anymore. I am very thankful to her for this wonderful service. I couldn't ask for more!

Love! This is my first experience with Freshly and I am very happy with the service and food. I think the portions are perfect and so far everything tastes great. Already recommended to several friends.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
