Freshly initially got to me through a friend's recommendation. Great food, fast shipping, balanced clean eating. My concern is the cost, however I am a nursing student and finance is everything to me. Paleo options are good tasting as well.
I would say the best part is discovering how awesome it tastes. The worst part is not having enough to eat. I have been supplementing with chia seeds for bulk. Other than that, this has been a part of my meal prep for a week, and I am making all my colleagues jealous of the awesome smell and taste of all the meals.
Try it, it's completely worth it. Just be aware of portion size and tweak your order to suit your needs.
Enjoyed the meals tremendously. I would like to see water only in the ice packages. Allow the customer to save up the insulation and be able to return it to Freshly in a prepaid box. Some of the clear plastic tray covers are hard to remove. Had one experience where the meal went flying when the cover finally released unexpectedly. The food is top notch. Even the meals we liked the least were still pretty amazing. My friends in Michigan can't wait for you to get there. Great business plan Freshly. Keep it up.
I must say that I didn't have high expectations as I did not want to be disappointed. To my surprise, your meals are so freshly prepared and oh so delicious! With each bite, I can totally tell that a great deal of love and care were put into each of your meals you have prepared. Thank you for giving me back my precious time. Otherwise, I would have to slave away in the kitchen making a home-cooked meal after a hard day's work, or worse, eat unhealthy food via restaurants/take out.
I was so pleased with my first experience with Freshly Foods. I was a little perturbed because my order was duplicated (my fault) I had entered it twice and then deleted the 2nd profile thinking I had deleted the 2nd order, but when it arrived there is was. 18 meals instead of 9. I was sure I would throw away food. BUT... the food was so good, easy to grab and go, or grab and eat after a long day at work that we ate them all! Everything we got was very very fresh tasting and you could feel that it was healthy for the body. I will certainly continue with Freshly, it has exceeded my expectation and I am very pleased.
I had a bit of confusion when I first tried ordering my first order. With several tries, I figured it out. I don't think that was because of the cite, rather my unfamiliarity with the ordering process. I was delighted when my first order arrived - the packaging was superb - the food was kept fresh by large bagels of ice between each level of dinner items; the food was surrounded my package cushioning. It was all securely packaged and absolutely nothing was spoiled. Ingenious packaging! I've only had three meals and all of them have been delicious. The chicken on my third dinner was a bit dry - perhaps a sauce would keep it moist. Overall very pleased with my Freshly experience.
The first week was relatively inexpensive but even if I had it for that price I wouldn't opt to continue. The food just isn't very good. I was really looking forward to trying it but now I've got several meals in my fridge that I'm concerned will go bad unless I freeze them because I'm unmotivated to eat them after eating a few.
I can't speak to customer sevice yet as I've just emailed my request to cancel, so we'll see about that.
I like the idea, but the food I got just isn't cutting it.
Friends, please understand this is not a reputable company. If you're smart you will not order from them and definitely don't give them your card info. I have many reasons to warn you ahead of time about this so called food service. In case you don't know this is a subscription service which they lure you into with low priced meals but then fail to communicate to you that you're in a contract with them just for trying their food once.
1. fraudulent activity- when I gave them my card number I had to involve my bank because there were not one but two fraud attempts on my account. Finally my bank helped me to block them from ever using my account again. This is was after I had canceled my account.
2. The worst customer service- during my short experience with this company they did not even once try to help me. They Don't have a phone number and would keep responding with the same canned email response. It must be an automated service that handles their customers request.
3. Food quality- This company must be a that's run out of someone's house. The food tastes horrible and the quality is like that of Walmart. They claim to be organic but I'm sure with they way the food tastes they're affiliated with Monsanto. I even found a hair in one of my meals that sent me.
I work in Public Relations and I rarely write bad reviews because I know the harm they can cause to companies but I felt strongly to warn you about this dishonest company.
So sorry for your negative experience, Misty. We outline that we are a weekly service on the website, during ordering, and on the checkout page. It is also outlined in the Terms as well as the confirmation email that is sent, which states, "Thank you for your weekly Freshly subscription order." We did charge your card a second time because it was not canceled by the deadline, but we did not do anything fraudulent. I see that you have now been refunded for your second charge by a supervisor, so I'm glad that was resolved for you.
Our phone number is on the Support Center of our website, and we definitely have human beings answering all communication with customers. Thank you for your feedback on that, though, as we want to ensure that even if using a template a rep will personalize it so it comes across friendly and warm.
We don't claim to be organic in any of our literature or on our website, so I'm not sure where you heard that claim, but I'm sorry for the confusion.
Regarding the hair, we would absolutely have taken care of that via a refund immediately if it had been mentioned previously.

We just got our 1st order of Freshly. And I must say I was impressed.
Here is a breakdown of how it works:
They start at 6 meals for $69. They also have options for 9,12 or 21 meals.
You can choose your delivery day. Thursday, Friday or Saturday. You don't have to be home. Everything will stay cold in the box until you get home but you would not want to leave it out overnight.
They have 18 lunch / dinners to choose from and 9 breakfast options. Every couple of weeks they switch out 1 or 2 of the meals with a new one. You can customize your plan so you won't get things your don't want or can't eat and it will tell you if a meal has it in it. Example my husband can't eat pork. So I check the pork button and all the meals with pork have a flag that says contains food you avoid. So that makes it really easy.
Their website makes it Very easy to skip weeks, suspended your account or cancel your subscription.
Everything comes precooked in individual containers. The box the meals are shipped in is insulated and has icepacks to keep everything fresh and safe. Everything is fresh and Nothing is frozen. It only takes 2 minutes to heat up in the microwave. Perfect for busy week days. All meals are gluten free, All natural and no refined sugars.
After you pick your meals for the 1st week it will auto fill the same meals for the next week. But you are able to go in and change the meals to whatever you want, or skip weeks too.
All the meals are around 500 calories or less. So these are not large meals. They are proportioned property with how we should eat. I felt completely satisfied after eating.
Food has tasted great, my hubby can be a picky eater, and he has liked what we have ate so far with no complaints.
Customer service is fantastic too. My order they gave me turkey brest meal, but I ordered a three bean chili - which was not s huge deal but I wanted to let them know. I contacted freshly. They apologized and credited me 1 meal for my next order. So I was happy with that.
I am very happy freshly and will continue to order. I think the value is there and it's a great time savor. I added a couple of pictures of one of my meals before heating it in the microwave so you can see what it looks like when you get in your meals.

Freshly is the most outstanding meal delivery service I have ever tried. I am truly stunned at the taste, quality, packaging, thoughtfulness and presentation. Their customer service is unparalleled. I have extended Freshly's meals to several friends and everyone is extremely surprised and overwhelmingly happy with Freshly's meals and service.
I love that the meals are fresshly cooked and all you need to do is pop it in the microwave for two minutes. Meals are 100% free from artificial ingredients and preservatives. My wife loves that fact it is gluten free, she's thinking of placing an order, too.
We live in a condo with limited space and we are on a budget since we're too old and sickly to work at real jobs. We love that we can grab one of your dinners and we do get filled up before we're through the meal!

I have tried many food subscriptions and this by far is my favorite. I enjoyed all 6 meals that I tried. I'm extremely picky when it comes to meat (example: no fat, no veins, no weird looking pieces) and the meat was so fresh, it definitely exceeded my expectations.
All the meals were extremely filling and a good portion size. It was awesome to eat a healthy meal and not have any cravings to eat something else.
If you ate a healthy breakfast and these meals all week for lunch and dinner you would definitely lose weight and feel great since you are not putting junk into your body.
I would highly recommend Freshly to anyone. Whether you want to eat healthy, have good tasting meals, or don't want to cook, Freshly is a great option for you!
I was very skeptical but decided to try it. My first package arrived early in the morning, in a huge box packed with cold packs and everything was frozen extremely well. The food packaging looks like a high-end microwaveable meal, however the food is much better than anything you'd ever find in a freezer at the market. The food cooks is only 2 minutes because of the freshness and tastes great.
Post baby #2 and ordered with a deal code l through a Facebook ad. I'd be hooked if we could actually afford it but it was AWESOME. My two year old even ate some! I would do this always if I could. Couldn't more highly recommend. Love the recyclable packaging too. I'm not sure how you made steak that good microwavable but I am so impressed.
I have trialed a few other services offering home food delivery. Freshly is by far the superior product. The food is delicious and prepared! I highly recommend Freshly for anyone who loves great food at home, but doesn't like to cook.
The food is ridiculously delicious. Comes super fast and there are a wide range of entree choices.
Portion sizes are huge, but extremely healthy. If I am not working out a ton, I will eat 1/2 to 2/3 of the meal and save the rest for later or share the meal.
Breakfasts are awesome - the omelettes. Haven't tried the oatmeal ones yet.
So my first disappointment was discovering that they offer pretty much the same meals every week. Not much variation. Once in a while they add something new. Then we tasted the food. The meatloaf and sides were not bad. I'd give it a 3 out of 5. The Asian steak was disgusting! Really really disgusting.

Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
