We monitor reviews for authenticity
Last week they sent me (5) meals I didn't pick (my least favorite of their meals). They gave me a credit for those meals and I forgave the mistake. This week, after receiving my shipping notification, I logged in to see what time my meals would arrive today only to find the message "This delivery was canceled by the Customer Support team." When I called to find out why, I was told that their kitchen was at capacity and I wouldn't be receiving my meals this week. So basically, new customers signed up and a few old customers were told to $#*! off for the week. No notice, nothing.
After 3 weeks of ordering, the company randomly sent us four of the same meal that we did NOT order. They were gross (mushroom chicken). The following week, they randomly cancelled our order because kitchen was at capacity and they didn't make enough for us. What the? They offered free meals to pacify us. But that does not fix the unreliability problem. Cancelling our membership after our experience.

Makes life a little easier not to cook and get such a great easy way to make meals for my family every now and then
I do like the variety of meals but I do wish there were consistent new menu options.

I appreciate the quality and taste of the meals delivered right to my door! They come refrigerated, not frozen.
The selections are numerous and change regularly. As a widower, making meals for myself is not fun. This program helps me eat healthy on a regular basis.
The relationship with Freshly has been really easy. The user experience is intuitive. I wish there was a greater variety in meals but I understand why it is like it is. The meals are always good and I am enjoying the service.
The majority of the food is so delicious! Its pricey, but i have a physical job, so the fact that i can run home and pop one in the microwave, and be excited about how good it will be and good i will feel is hard to beat. That steak is awesome, but the vegie side isn't.
Great meals and convenience, although a lack of choices for me (pescatarian) is directly leading to using the service less often. I eat 2 of 3 identical meals each week. Only still doing it as my spouse is GF.
I signed up for the Freshly service for two reasons: I don't eat fast food and I was tired of the options available from my local grocery store for quick and easy meals. I placed my first order about 2 months ago and do not know how I got by without it. The meals are fresh, portioned correctly, healthy with a great variety. All of this for $59 a week, what a deal! When I'm at work preparing my lunch, I've had coworkers come up to me and ask me "What are you having today? That looks and smells great!" To be honest, they look kind of bummed as they prepare their store-bought, frozen fare. I've recommended Freshly.com to a number of co-workers, family and friends and do that here and now with this review. Keep up the good work! And thanks for making lunch in an office easy and affordable and healthy!
Freshly offers a good variety of food that's easy to prepare in the microwave. It's not the most amazing food you've ever had, but it's better than any other food I've had that only needs to be heated (considering the price). All the dishes are pretty healthy and come in good size portions. It's nice to have a few meals a week precooked like this to avoid the hassle.
Now my family and I are able to eat healthy and save money (instead of constantly eating out).
We are able to enjoy meals at home around the dinner table.
It's so convenient too as a working professional.
I'm a rotten cook and very lazy. So first the negative: I eat straight from the Freshly container - usually delivered in two sections - and have to mix and match the various dishes. Oh, poor me, if Freshly put it all together it would save me at least two minutes a day. Well, at 86 years, minutes can count! The positive: I'm 86 and without Freshly, I'd starve to death!
The flavors are terrific. I would like to see more low carb high protein varieties. Ideally the meal planner would be organized like this. The breakfasts are a bit lacking. Thr onelettes are great but should come with some carb ideally.
So far, I have enjoyed all of my meals entirely. Affordability, quickness, and quality would be the 3 adjectives I could use to describe why I'm in love with your service.
The food is tasty and the customer service is very responsive. I appreciate that. However, there are not many low-salt options. The majority of the meals are high on salt and sugar. It's not easy to filter options by ingredients -
Especially "low salt" or "low sugar". Also, some of the meals were so greasy, I found that disappointing as it doesn't feel like a healthy option. There is no app (although the website is responsive aka mobile-friendly). Reviewing and skipping meals notifications could be confusing until you get the hang of it.
I was using a different meal delivery company when I decided to give Freshly a try. I am well pleased. The meals are delicious, and the price is better. Bon appetit!
The food tastes great and the portions are filling. The meals are well balanced, high protein and mostly around 500 calories.
Thank goodness for Freshly. When I come home from a hard day's work I just reach in the fridge and pick one of your many healthy gluten free and delicious meals, stick it in the microwave and voila! The Southwest chicken bowl has the most delicious quinoa I've ever eaten. Can beat the price either - a real meal that's cheaper than pizza or fast food. Great as a pre-packed lunch option, too. I've given some to friends and they're surprised how good Freshly meals are. I like that they keep adding new options, too.
We love all of the foods offered at freshly. The meals are always shipped as Promised, arriving fresh in their packages. And they truely taste chef made! We love too that they have gluten free Paleo options. This service really helps with our busy schedules to stay eating healthy.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
