I've been using Freshly for over a month now and I must say, I love it! The food is always delicious, healthy and fresh. What I love most about Freshly, however, is the customer service. From the convenience of skipping weeks (thank YOU for the reminder emails) to just having a quick question, I always feel confident I'm being provided a great service.
I am extremely pleased with Freshly! The food is delicious and I love that I can spice it up my way. Having the chore of grocery shopping off my plate (punny!) is such a blessing. I work long hours and it was too easy to stop for fast food. Now I have a fresh meal with good ingredients to grab! And I can't say enough about Freshly's customer service. They have been delightful and very helpful. The website is easy to navigate and picking meals is a treat. I am super happy with Freshly!
Freshly has a good variety, good pricing, and unlike it's "competitors" you just heat it up! No mess in the kitchen, prep, or clean up!
So far Freshly has surpassed my expectations. The meals range from very good to fair. Most are delicious. All ingredients have been fresh and tender. We tried Home Chef but this just makes more sense because of the time and clean-up factors. Just keep adding new meals. Thanks.
I've had five deliveries of six meals each. They have arrived on time and in great condition. The meals are tasty and quite good.

Have been with freshley for about 2 months. It's very convenient and healthy food they prepare for you. Easy to heat up and is packed with everything you need for nutrients. Only area I could suggest is having more rotating meals to choose from. I do enjoy the current selection but a few new meals a week would be nice.
Everything has been great, especially the chicken and steak dishes. Wasn't big on the pasta but everything was good
This is the very best meal yet. I have tried Blue Apron aND Hello Fresh but I had to cook the food and then clean the kitchen. This Freshly I don't have t go grocery shopping. Heat up my house nor wash cook and clean. I have lost. 25 lbs because I don't have to go back in the kitchen.
I'm really enjoying Freshly, the meals are good! If I could change it would be the variety, though I have favorites that I'd probably still order weekly.
The food is amazing and fresh. The quantities are large. There have been only 2 out of many that we personally did not care for. We have so many favorites!
This is my updated review after Freshly reached out to me and tried to fix things right.
Delivery is convenient! I love the way they packed the food and I am happy about it. The taste of food is over my expectation, so I give a thumb-up.
The reason why I took one star off is because the food is not healthy. Saturated fat is pretty high in every option. Even they try to balance it off with protein... you can still sauce and seasoning everywhere. As a person who constantly train myself, I am sure the nutrition is not good enough.
However, I don't complain if the taste of food is yum. You always have to compromise something. Right?
Only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 is that I wish there was more rotation of the meals. The variety is great, until you've had them all and are looking for a new option. I still end up eating everything and I have my favorites that we order multiples of each week. I didn't even know I liked some things until I tried them on freshly!
Love love love these meals. Taste great, excellent macro ratios and super convenient. I replaced eating out for during the work week with these meals and couldn't be more pleased. Highly reccomend Freshly.
We joined the Freshly family a couple months ago, and it has been a good experience. We are a busy family with no time to cook, so the product you provide fits our need. The quality has been great, the portions are above average. Compared to the competitors, the price is very reasonable. My only concern is the lack of options from week to week. I would love to see more turn on the menu. I've noticed myself eating the same dishes over and over and that has become a drag. Other than that, we are pleased and look forward to continued business with your team.
My husband and I are very busy all week long. It is just the 2 of us and our careers are very demanding. We tried other plans such as Blue Apron but often throwing out because we just didn't have time to make it. Freshly allows us to eat healthy and not have to spend time in the kitchen!
I have been very pleased with Freshly. Steak, Pork and Turkey dinners have been favorites. Sure beats planning for dinner and the meals freeze nicely, too. I just thaw in the Frig overnight and microwave 3.5 minutes and dinner is ready!
The main entries are great. The sides are average. The organization and delivery/packaging are great. The selection is slim, thus we don't order every week.
The good is really good and there is enough food that I don't feel I need to supplement it. I like it that I don't have to cook it. Never frozen.
So I was really looking forward to trying Freshly. I placed the order on the 4th and scheduled it for when my husband was out of town. I thought I'd treat myself and try something new. Day before I get an email saying "Your order is on its way". Generally this means it is actually on its way.
Fast forward 18 hours to now: I've been hanging around waiting for the delivery- figured since we live in Texas, wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be sitting out in the sun all day. By 6 pm (when most packages are delivered by) theres nothing. I though maybe I read the day wrong and the delivery was supposed to be on another day. Nope, but when I checked my account online and found out that my order had been canceled. Immediately checked with customer service because clearly it had to be an error. Wrong again- it had been cancelled and there was no notification. I checked my spam and trash folder just in case. Incredibly disappointed and appalled at this service. Apparently "due to the popularity of this service" they couldn't fulfill all the orders. WTH. I am pretty sure you should have known about that a while ago-hmmm perhaps more than 24 hours? I just don't understand why I didn't get any sort of notification- it shows a lack of regard for their customers whose money could be better spent in my honest opinion. Either way I'm still waiting on my refund and the 50% credit I'm supposed to have on my account (pathetic compensation) Haven't seen either. I would not recommend this service or product to anyone. Seems like the company itself is poorly run and it could fluff up its customer service.
So morale of the story is they will cancel your food last minute and then take their sweet time getting your money back to you. That is if they even tell you that your food is cancelled.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
