The Cash back that they offer has many hoops for you to jump through and even after fling every rule the cash back does not materialize. I would have been better off to use Rakuten or topcashback for FREE
The trick occurred when we made an on-line purchase at Kohl's in January 2020.
While completing the purchase we noticed an offer for free shipping by, simply, checking a little box on the form while completing the transaction. The offer was made in an innocuous manner so as to appear to be a kindness on the part of the seller. We thought the trade off would come in the form of receiving product advertisements.
We then started being charged $13 per month. This charge presented as an expense associated with a monthly purchase. While reviewing monthly credit card statements, this was found to be a monthly fee from a. Com site named "Free Shipping". We found that $13 had been billed to our credit card for 27 months.
When I spoke with a representative of "Freeshipping.com", he indicated that he was allowed to refund us for the last four months. The fact that he was so quickly able do so appears indicative that this is a continuing practice of " Freeshipping.com".
Clearly, the customer is led to trust the meaning of the word "free" as is stated, when in fact this appears to be a calculated manipulation that amounts to theft. In fact it appears to reflect very poorly on the integrity of "Freeshipping.com" and is marginally within limits of the law.
Freeshipping.com seems to be a scam. They mislead you, advertising "get your shipping charges back" but they are actually charging you for a monthly subscription of around $13 USD. Do not let them get away with this, request your refund.
I don't know how I was subscribed to this website, and I was not aware that I would be charged for membership, I even haven't received an email from them although they charged a membership fee for 2 years! Most importantly, you get nothing from this "membership"! Basically, they will trick you to "subscribe" and then disappear from your life, so you will never know you are their members!
As I was checking out of a website where I had just purchased an item, a button popup appeared asking if I wanted to get 10% or $10 (don't remember which) off shipping. I clicked the button because, yes, I wanted a discount on shipping. I was then asked to supply information including credit card no. Thinking it was part of the same site I had made my recent purchase. I did think it was odd they wanted the same info from the purchase site. I realized then that I made a mistake supplying this info but it was too late, they already had it. A few days later, I got an inquiry from my credit card company asking if a $13 charge was a legitimate purchase. I told them "no", explaining how I'd been tricked into signing up for this thinking I would get money off this shipping charge, and nothing else about the service was explained that I saw. My credit card company declined the payment and I sent an email requesting my account be cancelled.
Be aware of this website, as soon as your cashback goes beyond $200, they start suspending your account and accuse you of commercial use and high volume shopping reasons.
I provided the receipts that all purchases were delivered to residential address or picked up by myself, but they don't care.
Then they pocket all the money for themselves and offer you a few monthly membership refunds. I found them dishonest and unprofessional.
FIND A WAY TO CANCEL never knew I was being charged for a while and now I'm on game. I was buying flowers for a friend who's daughter was killed and thrown behind a store. Site said I'd get free shipping ig I didn't pay enough attention and I got got for months.
Somehow while online Christmas shopping in December, I inadvertently signed up for a trial membership for freeshipping.com. Today (March 11th) I noticed a recurring $13 charge and looked into it. Freeshipping.com has been auto withdrawing $13 from my account every month since December for absolutely nothing. I realize I must have signed up for it but that was slid in there pretty sneaky since I definitely didn't get anything for my $52.
This was ok from the beginning, more difficult to use and get cash back than shopsmarter. Then I was canceled without notice and a ton of cash back denied with no reason that I couldn't even see or access because they canceled my account. They said I had 2 accounts which was completely inaccurate and not true. I had signed for a trial a year earlier and canceled. I re-signed up almost a year later and 6 months into it they canceled my membership with no notice. Seems as if they only want you as a member if you don't use it much. I called in twice asked to be reinstated, confused as to what I did wrong by signing up for a free trial and canceling. Is that not the point of a trial, to try it?! I was told it would be escalated and I would hear from management without 24 hours. I never heard from them. Shady.
This company is deceitful. Somehow I unknowingly bought a membership when buying a product on Skin.com. I now have been charged 13.00 a month for the last 5 months. I canceled my membership, but I feel very taken advantage of.
After ordering flowers from From You Flowers, a pop up window appeared offering a rebate on the shipping charges for the flowers. I then discovered that Freeshipping had charged my card $13 and opened an account under my name. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH FREE SHIPPING.COM!
Also, I will no longer order flowers from From You Flowers as they are promoting this scam.
I have used Freeshipping.com for more than a year now and happily paid $12.99 per month as I got these little checks from my purchases that made a bit more than the subscription to make it worth it. I had no issues until today when I am left in utter shock on how this company can stoop so low!
I bought an expensive TV from a best buy and factored in the 10% cashback and also received an email confirming $600+ in cashback approved yesterday. Today, when I tried to login to my site - I was locked out to my amazement as I am always logged in my personal computer and it easily logs me in. Then I tried to reset my password and I did not get any retrieval email. Finally, I saw an email from them from this morning stating "they have locked my account until further review as they believe I have been using it for business purpose" - which is a joke to avoid the $600+ cashback. I called the customer service and the guy said that it shows "I cancelled my account this morning (that was the note of the customer service against my account"!). I then asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold and the guy came back saying he was not available and I should respond back to the email asking for clarification on why they think it is a "business account".
I am so shocked as I factored in this cashback in my purchase and never thought a company can act in such a shallow manner. I don't know what to say but not to expect much. I can promise they haven't heard the last of me and will regret their decision if they decide not to pay me. It is pure illegal practice on what they did to me.
For the past 10 months freeshiping. Co has charged my cedit card $13.00 amonth i have not ordered any for shipping watch out for walmart many different customer polices to bilk customers out of money
Kohls should be ashamed of themselves participating in this SCAM. Buying an item at Kohls did not state that the customer was enrolling in any program. I will not be buying anything on line from Kohls in the future.
This morning Iog into my account and I see freeshipping in a list of payment. I make a search in my list payment I see it's not the first time they take money in my account. The only thing I can say is, I never did business with that network. American banks have to stop this robbery.
I really dislike the monthly auto membership concept. DO NOT SIGN UP UNLESS YOU ARE FULLY AWARE OF WHAT IT IS, AND ARE PLANNING TO USE IT FREQUENTLY. This was one of those accidental trial memberships that then continues to siphon money out of your account monthly... not enought to really notice, but after a while it adds up. This company charged me 13 dollars a month for a year, and I never used their product one time. That is a crying shame.
We have been charged $13 a month for the past 3 months. We have never used their service and had no reason to sign up with this company.
This is a fabulous membership - IF you buy quite a bit online. All I have to do is access the website of choice through freeshipping.com then when finished-screenshot my receipt, enter 4 pieces of info, then sent the code given plus my screen shots to the rebates e-mail. It takes me 35 seconds to submit a purchase-I have timed myself multiple times. I use mainly bath & body works, eBay, Amazon, Overstock, Bed Bath & Beyond…a couple are just for shipping and the rest are shipping plus 10% off. Love it…Fast Customer Service, Checks come once a month. ABSOLUTELY Z E R O issues. The best saver EVER!
Never signed up for this scam! I brought something from the Bradford exchange group and they must have signed me up. Maybe they said would you like free shipping! Anyhow for 3 years they been stealing money out of my credit card every month! The catch is when you review your card and see free shipping you think just that! They should be put in jail!
Don't know how they got my info or how I signed up. Never heard of these people until they started charging fees on my card. Having to cancel my card because though they say my membership has canceled they continue to charge. Last I heard you had to provide some type of info to become a member of anything. Not these guys, stay away!
Answer: Their advertising is a little sneaky I give you that. But that's your fault, just like out on the city streets, a fool and their money is soon parted.
Answer: Hi Christina, unfortunately I can't locate your account using the information here. Can you please reach out to me directly at [email protected]?
Answer: What's so dishonest about it? I am a regular subscriber and can easily recover my subscription fee many times over.
Answer: I did, but only after threatening to report them to the Attorney General in my state. They rely on the fact that few people will make a fuss.
Answer: You have to buy items from a website…anything from eBay to BATH & BODY WORKS, OVERSTOCK…many others. Go to "freeshipping.com" then delete the site from which you plan to buy-it will direct you to that site. (I always take screenshots of final receipts to add to my freeshipping.com submission), Afterwards you need to enter the purchase date-total cost and shipping cost…then a code is given. I have timed myself-the submission takes 35 secs if you are fluid on the computer. Have been a member for over 5 years and saved hundred$$! Trustworthy site-w/discounts as well as freeshipping (up to $10/order). $500 max shipping refunds per year…no limit on 10-20% off discounts!
Answer: Hello, Any cash back you earn as a member is yours to keep even if you choose to cancel. Thanks!
