I needed a quick pickup because of another companys failure to follow through. I was given a quote for same day pickup and was told a truck was on hold and available to do that so I agreed to the price even though it was several hundred more than a 5 day pickup quote.Endedup being three days later before it was picked up other than that it was fine
First time needing to ship a piece of equipment. FR8Star was simple and effective finding a shipper.
It was great, prices were a little higher than expected, but I guess that is to be expected.
The rep from fr8star contacted me and explained my load would be picked up in 3-4 business days. After the day he said then would pick it up I called. He told me a carrier wasn't assigned, however it would be picked up for sure by the end of the week. I told him I was planning on leaving for vacation that weekend but I could possibly move it back. He reassured me they would have it delivered before the end of the week. So Friday I called him back and got his voicemail. The shipper contacted me and said probably would be the following Monday which it was the shipper told me they didn't have anyone that had accepted the load and the original rep had no way of knowing when it would be there. At this point without the 2 day notice I had to reschedule my trip and received a partial refund on flights. Then fr8stars rep called me back and proceeded to apologize which is all that could be done at that time. I asked him why he told me dates when he had no concrete information? His only reply was I am sorry. I asked him when I told him I was leaving that weekend why he told me it would be done that week for sure? Again just a I am sorry.

Misty at FR8star got right with me and was able to answer any questions I needed. Got it booked. Just waiting for shipment to arrive I tried iron hitch but they would not respond to me at all. Would not give me any quotes. Just nothing. I really appreciate FR8Star

Very disappointing, very concerning.
Several disappointing issues occurred with the management, communication and leadership following my contact with fr8star to execute our shipment. A significant amount of my personal time was spent attempting to manage through these issues to get our load safely delivered.
Attempting to bring this to closure I contacted Mr Alex Jensen, as outlined on our email requesting a review, provided the details of this experience and have not received followup.
After looking into several shipping options we put our trust in fr8star. There have been many leadership and communication failures that were controllable and did not have to happen.
Most concerning is the individual that actually performed the delivery has not been compensated. Being out $1,300 is a big deal especially at Xmas time.
Easy to work with and I appreciate the honest upfront costs. I like being able to communicate with the people bidding.
Although the tractor arrived quickly and in perfect shape, the process was difficult and confusing, requiring a lot of faith that I was not being ripped off, especially when the broker spoke poor English. I also discovered that over 40% of what I paid went to the brokers, which is extremely excessive and cheats the truckers. 10%, even 15% would be fair. The trucker was great and deserved a fair cut!
Forrest did everything I ask. Load was estimated and after I confirmed that I needed a load hauled he posted it and was picked up right away! Yet to be delivered but hopeful that it will be in short time.
The dispatcher was poor at communicating with the dealer to pick up the tractor. Ended up getting it week after he said he would. I had made arrangements to pick it up after hours or on day off if he would call the salesman. He would not call her. The truck driver was awesome! Once he communicated with me he picked it up and delivered it the same day.
Fr8star itself was great to work with, i cant say the same about the transport company. I picked a little higher one because of the preferred staus and lots of loads hauled. They bid to have it picked up in 3-4 days and have not met that anywhere close. Gonna be at least 7 days further out it looks like. Transporter did not answer my email and i had to call them. They answered the phone very unprofessional like it wasnt even a business. Kinda feel like i got the old "bait and switch" on my timeline.
Good experience however it has been 5 days and i still dont know when my delivery will arrive.
Straightforward booking and good customer service.
Communication was good, everything went smoothly and the driver was friendly
