I have worked with freelancer for over 8 years now, i like the way they work, even if sometime they may fail to understand the special situation of a person. In the end it may go out fine
Kayla customer service of freelancer helped me very fast. Freelancer has very quick and fast customer support. Recommend it to all
Erwin C. Is member of freelancer support team and resolved my issue promptly. I would highly recommend this site as it seriously looks after you
Thank you very much for excellent support from Freelancer team. I got the great support from Barry. The instruction was very clear and detail for someone new like me.
I registered on freelancer.com to try some experience as translator but I was not happy to leave EUR 31,40 of deposit to start and to pay for taking language test. I registered to find some job, not to spend for nothing. I'm disappointed and I requested to delete my account. I give 2 stars because the chat assistant Frieda S. Was kind to help me.
The person that I spoke to was very helpful, Kayla was very very kind and she assisted me on reversing back the deposit I made accidentally. Thank you so much again
Got a quick resolution to my issue by Ms Josie G, I appreciate her approach of working. She quickly initiated a mail to the freelancer who was creating the hindrance in getting the project delivered quickly.
Had difficulty finding an online agent who wasn't idle (probably away from their desk doing something more important).
Finally came across Kayla B. Who addressed all my issues well.
Thanks go to Kayla.
My chat was with Josie G. Really helpful. Her chat with me was very Very Good. That was a really good experience.
I thought I had paid more than I had and Kayla B. Was great in helping me work out where I had got it wrong. Problem was not a problem and I was able to get it sorted very efficiently.
I had a problem with my payment and I contacted with the Live Agent. Within few seconds one of them (Stephanie M.) starts chat with me. I know all of them are very professional and dedicated to their job, but she is exceptional. She got into my problem right away and solved in a second!
So much happy with the service :)
I just had a chat support with Kayla B. And I need to share this. Everyone that can work with Kayla is a lucky person. The best help someone can get.
Once again... Thank you very much.
Stephanie M. Was very helpful and understanding my inconvenience had helped me give this site another shot.
The support is really awesome
The Recruiter project fee was taken immediately after being hired on that project.
It was not correct so I contacted Feelancer Support Team and explained it.
Gonzalo V heard the situation and resolved that issue immediately.
Fast and reliable service.
Thanks again, Gonzalo
Frieda gives great customer support! Her response rate is very quick. She's very polite. She's helped me to understand the issue I was encountering and helped me to resolve it.
I have to believe that the positive reviews that are being posted are from paid advocates of the company. Don't get roped in. Over 2 years had passed since I did business with them. All of a sudden there was a charge on my credit card from them. Not only did I file mischarge with my CC company, but I had to cancel my card and get it reissued to avoid them from doing this again. My opinion is that freelancer is nothing but a scammer out for themselves and they are hurting the ethical contractors that are working for them.
We will be getting away from them asap. After a couple of projects, they our credit card had a misc charge of over $3000 on it... When confronted, they took over 1 month to even start addressing the issue. Then, it was only a partial refund. They also refused to pay charges that were incurred on the card as a foreign transaction fee. They stated that it was 'our' problem... Well, no, it wasn't. This fee would have never existed had they not made this unauthorized charge to our card. Sadly, this reflects poorly on the people that they allow to contract through their site. So far, they have been quite talented regarding WordPress and Web implementations. I would urge all of them to get away from freelancer and find another broker to represent them.
I contacted the customer service and was assisted by the support agent Kayla B. For the team
She was prompt, courteous and listened to my query and provided the solution and way forward. Great customer service from her side.
I was matched with Kayla B. On the freelancer chat and she was very helpful in addressing my issue with a project. Great assistance.
Had a great experience with the support provided by Kayla B. My issue got treated perfectly. I feel at ease now. Hope to chat again.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
