Found very good client from here after many many years finally. It's a lot of strugle at first, but you need a lot of bids and reviews to get it going and work fast and good! Resolving various issues also goes with like 5 star now!
They provide a prompt and quick response, My acknowledgement goes to Allen S. Who willingly supported untill my request came to success. Thumps up... Regards
Stay away from this website. It s full of scammers. I think freelance allow them on purpose.
Hey users, what can I do? I just signed in on freelance, i received a project and I hit the accept button right away. I was checking around how the website works only. Now i saw freelance took $61 from my account, which represents the 10% oc the money I was offer for the project. Just bcs accepting that button? That user/employer was a scammer, he never had any project for me, he's gone now. What can I do to get my money back? Isn't fair, i have no protection and get scammed so easy for using their website. Who scammed me actually freelance for stealing money from my before they verify i got a real project, or the fake employer who connected me?
I recently used freelancer to get a logo done for my business. The artist was great but the company was not. I was double charged on two different occasions which caused my bank account to go negative. I was charged when I wasn't even using the service and it put my bank account very negative during this pandemic which made it very difficult to provide for my family.
I'm working on trying to get my money back but I'm not sure it's possible. Also I erased my debit card information from site on April 14,2020 yet somehow my card was still charged again on April 17,2020. I would not trust this company with my service
I had a problem with a fake account and a fake project, I was charged for the project, and the guy just closed it. So, I asked for help on Support and I was refund, and they explained how to avoid this in the futures
Kelly was a great help when account was limited and Freelancer.com required my ID to be verified. She responded to my emails swiftly and resolved the problem within less than an hour.
Many thanks again Kelly, I really appreciate your work!
After closing the Freelancer's account, because is definitely a waste of time, they are keep sending me mails with closing ticket.
I've contacted the customer support, saying that the account is closed, so the ticket should be closed.
And the customer support continue to send me evryday mail with this ticket.
Not professionalism at all.
I definitely not recommend this company.
This is kind of scam where the ads are posted by the freelancer team. If we check for more than 90% of the ads posted the account created date is of the week time. And no details have been verified. If you bid for that you wont get any sort of response and you lose money. These basterds deduct the money to verify the account and the money is more than 100 RS INR. And they put it under freelancer account. There is no need to deduct the money to verify the account. This is a total scamming business. You should be ashamed of user self for finding such kind of $#*!ty work for the owner of freelancer.
Jenny is new here but she is skillful in her trade. But she is professional, we got my website done and optimized in a matter of two days. Now, I can focus on my business knowing my website is taken care of
Emeline provided prompt, courteous and well informed service for the issue I had with authenticating my credit card. During these testing times of COVID I was prepared for delays but it was not the case. I am very thankful to her service.
I am very happy because i work in freelancer... i can earn much money from here... thanks freelancer for give me a chance to make my life happily...
Client had paid me full fee but after project she launched a complaint that she was not satisfied and wanted her payment back. I was worried that I had spent dozens of hour to complete her work and all gonna waste now. Freelancer helped me to reach a settlement whereby I got 50% of the locked amount and also they did not affect my ratings. Thankyou Freelancer!
Noelle was very receptive towards identifying existing bugs and improving user experience throughout the app. I believe this is is the best type of employee posibile, always looking to improve things, to make the company better out of his own voalition. There was always the option of just sticking to chrome is recomended and not investigate further. But the better choice was made. I see a head of CS there.
Best regards,
Vlad
I was easily able to post a project and find a qualified contractor. My contractor completed my project in record
Time. Freelancer offers a good service, but I found their website not very well explained. It was mostly guesswork and errors trying to administer the project through the Freelancer website. Very little explanation of the consequences of pressing any key.
These professionals have been thoroughly trained and vetted, and payment is carefully arranged so that individuals that work for the website get paid properly. Forget Fiverr and Insolvo. This is a much better option.
Thank you for patiently helping me. I really appreciate your on-time replies.
I have worked on Freelancer.com for like 4 years. Everything works smoothly.
The Support team is really friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend Freelancer.com.
Very unfair towards the freelancer (provider of service). Actually, no support, because of Corona. Although competitors still have support.
After completion of my project, my client all of a sudden asks for "Transfer of Intellectual Property", before releasing the payment. Looking into the fineprints of freelancer.com, this is even valid. Which imposes a significant risk onto the provider of service. Request for Transfer of Intellectual Property in fair practice should be required to be announced_before_ assigning the project. Such a transfer usually has financial implications, as the provider might all of a sudden be requested to hand over "business secrets". There are other pitfalls for serious providers, in case of client unwilling to pay. Not recommended.
Amazing and rapid assistance. They helped me with the problem I had with an employer.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
