I'm a freelancer on freelancer.com.
After my first month on the platform, and few successful jobs, I started to notice that the feedback from my clients is not recorded correctly.
They are just terrible.
After like 8 chats with them, they never solved the issue.
One time, I told them that this issue is terrible and you are destroying my profile.
Their response was restricting my account and any withdrawal of funds.
This restriction on my funds was a pure act of robbery and showed me that I'm dealing with careless staff members.
I'm still on freelancer.com and I still have some respectful clients.
But their support staff are terrible and unprofessional.
And the most dangerous thing, any careless staff of freelancer.com can easily block you and hold all your finance.
Another terrible point on freelancer.com is the scam. This website is a scam hive.
It's lime no other freelance platform.
Everything was fine, it was just a misunderstanding and we were able to solve it correctly. Thanks for your help!
I want to say thank you to Hayley it's hard to find good costumer service and she was proactive and she gave me solutions, and she also was kind and fast to answer
Responded to my request clear and fast. Issue was solved within seconds. Thank you
I am thankful for the support of freelancer.com team for unlocking my funds
Chelsea was very professional, and she was on time. The process was explained to me very well. It was quick and very well done. Perhaps a minor improvement to consider is to open the camera when interviewing. Overall, it was handled excellently.
I am completely amazed by level of support freelancer team provided for my queries so far.
Thanks Freelancer Support Team
I was trapped in a seemingly big issue that was actually due to my own ignorance. However, Kelly, the great problem solver from freelancer team, instantly helped me out of my problem. Excellent Service from Freelancer.
I received excellent and prompt service and help from freelancer.com staff Avery V. Thank you!
I am very satisfied with the way Orion was handling my problem. He was polite, and helped me to quickly resolve the issue. Great job!
It's a nice experience, they helped me and very cooperative.
Thank you so much for helping me Raven, you were incredibly helpful.
I was unsure how to proceed with a situation and contacted Customer Service. I was quickly connected with someone who handled the situation.
I faced a problem regarding payment and it's solved by support team
Thanks
Eileen is a very good Listener and explain the solution in detail
Over all experience with Freelance support was great. I appreciate their hardwork and good behavior to us.
Except this
Just wanna say that there are many fake buyers profiles on your platform, who try to get money in behalf of their long term orders from sellers. That is actually not going to happen
Very professional, kind person who resolved my problem quick. Very satisfied
Once I opened a freelancer account in 2017, as a client, I setup all info, personal, banking, etc... My project was executed with success, and I was happy with Freelancer talent service. When I re-signed up as a freelance talent, I wanted to update my info and verify my payment, bank, personal and all information necessary, so everything would be clear to everyone, from the freelancer team to the potential clients.
Freelancer team wanted to verify my ID, and prompted me to send a government ID pic. So I sent them a stock photo of my driver license, I had in my PC. They rejected it, and reinstated they want a government ID scan... As if my driver license was not a government ID!
I took a photo of my driver license and sent it. They rejected it again.
I scanned my driver license, 300 DPI and sent it again, and while rejecting my driver license for the third time... they had the audacity to ask for my passport photo "PLUS" a photo of me holding the passport with one hand and a confirmation number on the other! Like a clown or a convict! No one person or company ever hurt my dignity like Freelancer did, and after finishing this review, I will file a complaint with the BBB, because such discrimination and disrespect should not be tolerated in the United States of America in 2021, I can't let them do the same to another US citizen! Shame on Freelancer.com!
If I had free time on my hands, I would've sued them!
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
