Auction ended Thursday, I called to list shipping. Normally I get quotes almost immediately. I did not receive any quotes Thursday so I called Fried to find out if the listing was up there. I spoke to said the listing is there he didn't know why I wasn't getting. Information said he would fix that nothing happened Saturday, Saturday Sunday Monday. Call back I think it was on Monday with the order finally was set for Tuesday. I specifically said do not deliver before Friday I'll be out of town and won't be able to receive it. I talked to the trucking company Wednesday. They gave me the phone number for the truck driver called him and he had picked up the load and was delivering it Thursday morning. My plans change, so I was able to come and get to the farm to receive it and unload it, he said they had no record of it being delivered Friday at the earliest. I have never had a problem with shipping. It's always been scheduled accurately and on time.

You all guided me on any questions I had, also provided me a great quote, provided me tracking and update status and pictures of the load of my atv. My atv came in perfect condition and faster then I could imagine a day after booking my atv was picked up next day at my front door. Amazing! Amazing! Jennifer from FR8Star was great. The "broker" that she lined me up with, not so much. I thought I was dealing with a carrier, not a broker. They bid a load for me and I accepted it. But over 2 weeks later, they could not find a carrier willing to accept whatever it was they were trying to pay. The communication was less than poor. I had to get Jennifer involved to get the "broker" to respond to my questions. That's not very professional. I already had access to carriers willing to haul this load for a little less than what I had agreed to pay this "broker", but I decided to try them because it never hurts to have a bigger circle of freight options. So apparently, either this "broker" was trying to keep too much of the pie for themselves, or they have no idea what the current freight rates are and got in over their head. I won't make that mistake again.

First time using this; experience went well overall. FR8Star website system is great and very intuitive.
What I learned through this - many/most of these companies bidding don't have trucks and drivers, they're just middle men. They bid and then put it on a board for drivers to bid on for a lesser amount. So it's in their favor to get the drivers to do it for as little as possible. This negotiation on their side takes time - so make very sure you put a 'must pickup by' date/time when you request bids. That way you don't get caught paying storage fees or something similar on your load while they're doing their negotiations.
