Used them a couple of times no problem. Last time I bought a kettle from the UK and although it wasn't very heavy it cost an absolute bomb to send to Australia. It arrived the box was falling apart.
Update: Customer service gave me a partial refund, advised that their repackaging service would avoid the packaging issue in future. Pleased that they take customer satisfaction seriously.

Don't sign up for this service until you have secured some quotes. I foolishly signed up to the website and then got myself some quotes for sending a package. These quotes were null and void because I have already signed up with Forward2Me. Also there are costs of taking photos of receiving packages. The couriers provided are super expensive, there was no option for slow sending e.g. by surface.
All in all, a very expensive lesson.

We work with a range of couriers to offer fast and reliable shipping, but we understand that surface mail options may be preferred by some customers.

Complete rip off- I ended up paying a massive customs bill for items from the UK to ireland plus very pricey postage- at least double the cost of my items- it's beyond a premium for the service

The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and FedEx) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight. I see on this occasion the volumetric weight is higher than the actual weight 5.08 kg so the shipping fees are calculated on the higher volumetric weight.11.80 kg.
When importing goods from another country, it's important to understand that customs regulations usually require taxes to be applied to the items. These taxes are necessary for the smooth clearance of your package through customs. The specific charges can vary depending on the value of the items in the packages.
The costs you have paid to forward2me include multiple services such as receiving your package, repackaging if needed, and preparing essential export paperwork to help send your items from the UK.
It is important to mention that these charges do not cover any possible import duties or taxes, as well as brokerage fees that may be required when importing the products into your country.

Unfortunately, we see that you are shipping some alcohol shipments from our Germany warehouse to the Netherlands. At the moment, we can only offer UPS for any alcohol beverage shipments from this location.
We always inspect the packaging upon opening and assess whether it provides sufficient protection. In cases where it's already well-packed, we do not replace the cardboard but ensure additional measures like fragile tape and any other necessary reinforcements.
We have sent you an email to get further details, but we havent received any response.
I understand that this may not be ideal, and I appreciate your feedback on this limitation.

It is advisable to consider sending only high-value items to this address, couriers may incur slightly higher costs compared to shipping from our mainland UK address. Therefore, it's crucial to calculate in advance whether the VAT savings on the purchase outweigh the potential increase in shipping expenses from this facility compared to shipping from the UK mainland.
With UK tax free warehaouse - we offer DHL and FedEx. Furthermore, it's importnat to note that when you ship items from the UK Tax Free warehouse, you remain responsible for paying the duties and taxes once the shipment reaches its destination country.
The term "Tax Free" specifically pertains to the exclusion of certain sales taxes within the UK, but it does not imply exemption from duties and taxes imposed by the customs of the destination country, whether it be in the UK or Guernsey.

Ended up paying the equivalent of the price of the good in taxes on arrival. Could have been warned ahead of time and would probably find a different way to deliver the package.
