I created a document and hastily checked out under the "one time fee" option... After realizing i made a mistake i tried to contact them and have them switch it to a subscription plan the would not budge. They pretty much said: HAHA, we got your money sucka!
Very lame, stay away from this company!
They are not straight forward with there pricing and plans. They make it seem like you are paying for one thing at a lesser price then will charge you in some other way. Usually use a tactic of trail versions, then making you pay for a premium plan. I personally will not do buisness anymore with a company that tries to take advantage of others
They will bill you monthly even if you don't authorize them sign up for the service. (BTWI'm a lawyer.) When my credit card continued to show bills, I contacted them to cancel and they said they had no record of my account or credit card. It required 2 additional calls and a conference call with my credit card company to cancel service because they were working off old credit card number. In the meantime, I was billed continuously for months. NIGHTMARE.
This guys advertise free employment contract and after you spend 10 minutes they are asking for payment. It is small money but a bad culture and business practice. If you have time to waste you can use them.
I used the service last March. I thought I paid 29.00 for one month, instead they kept changing my credit card 29.00 for 9 months without me knowing. Awful, deceitful and dishonest. Stay way from these crouch who wants to get rich overnight!
I originally wrote a bitter review of this site... But we called them and got a 100% refund! So nice of this company to understand our concerns and give us our money back. This is how customer service SHOULD be done.
This company says they will give you a free form but once they get your information they want to charge. False advertising and I will never pay a company so misleading with their sales tactics.
After spending an hour and a half on my "free" document I can not retrieve it without paying something. Deceptive advertising and a huge waste of time, except that I photographed the images and created my own document.$1.95 is not a bad price, but one should know at the onset that you can not retrieve your document without paying.
They have been charging me for almost a year. $39.95 per month! I had no idea I signed up for a monthly fee, and they NEVER sent any receipt or any reminder that they've been charging me. They said the charge agreement appears in #6 of terms and services. Who reads Terms and Services? Do not sign up.
FormSwift has been charging me for over a year and I just caught it! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE TRIAL! IT IS A RIP OFF!
There are other ways to Esign documents. I got ripped off. I canceled "my subscription" but I'm waiting to hear back after leaving a voicemail asking for confirmation of cancellation as well as asking them to delete my credit card number from their system. Too much hassle for something I can't even remember using!
I ended up paying full price for a FREE trial and then could not properly use the application. Not only a waste of time but a waste of money.
The oldest trick in the book, promise you something is free, get you to go through the work of filling out all the forms, then not give you the product/service until you enter your credit card and get charged for something.
I got sucked into using the one free form 1099-MISC in January of 2016. I just discovered FormSwift has been billing my account@$39.95/months every since for 15 months without one invoice or notice of billing. They obviously depend on this stealth mode of billing hoping to steal as much as possible. As far as I'm concerned, this is intentional wire fraud. I am going to my bank and tell them this was not authorized. We'll see what happens.
They advertised a free IRS 1099 form and said all I had to do was answer a few questions and download the form and print. I answered the questions but they then wanted $1.95 for a one time use which I agree to. Then I filled out the 1099 form and printed it. The form says its just a 1099 information form and warned you cannot submit it to the IRS or you will be charged penalties. I looked up the IRS regs and you can only submit a 1099 form to the IRS that you order from the IRS. FormSwift's 1099 information form is worthless so selling it as if it was the real IRS 1099 form is a scam. Worse, I only agreed to pay $1.95 but FormSwift charged my credit card $39.95. I disputed the charge today with my credit card company which gave me a $39.95 credit it says is permanent. Be sure to immediately dispute with your bank or credit card company any unauthorized charges FormSwift puts on your credit or bank card. One of the best things about using a credit card for purchases is the bank or credit card company's guarantee that you are not responsible for fraudulent charges. If another charge from them appears on my card, I'll dispute it again and get my money back, file a complaint with the attorney general of my state, and post a complaint on a dozen or so complaint websites.
Scammy approach! You should tell customers they need to pay before wasting their time!
This is a bully approach to getting money. Will never use just out of principle. I would have gladly paid if you had said so up front.
I used this website back in early 2017 for a one time charge of $1.95. Unfortunately a few weeks ago I caught a charge to my account of $29.95 in which I called the company. I found out I was charged this $30 a month since I had "signed up". After few phones calls I have received a confirmation email that they will reimburse me for 3 months. THREE? I was charged for 9 months without knowledge. Each time you call they won't give you any answers just continue to state they will pass it along to a supervisor. I have such a headache now I am not even going to waste my time arguing with them. Just wanted to be able to give future clients a heads up to be careful.
I was on FormSwift and somehow they charged me for things that I did not even order. It started with $1.95 charges which I did not catch and they started to charge 29.95 per month. All these transactions were definitely fraudulent and without my knowledge nor consent. Be aware when you are on their site and they ask for Credit Card information. Making sure if you do use them, that it's one time charge and not repetitive. Review your credit card statements since I did not catch this until today, February 10,2018 and they started charging back in September 2017
I keep on saving the file that I type to word and can't save, can't print and can't even email it. Please don't subscribe you will just waste your time. Trust me, it's a waste. I have no choice to use one star if there is zero star I will put zero.
Needed to convert 2 page PDF to Word. The end result was garbage - still had all sorts of embedded formatting - making editing in word impossible. I had an old Mac with old Adobe Pro, and it gave me 3/4 of what I needed. When my overseas admin came to work, she used her full Adobe to convert it to the Word doc I expected from Formswift. For example, Adobe PDF had locked a picture with its caption above and descriptive info below into a single pic. It was not until Adobe unlocked Adobe that I had 3 separate pieces and full edit capability. Formswift is a joke as an Adobe to Word converter.
