FoodNetwork Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is increasingly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived declines in programming quality and a lack of engaging content. Viewers express frustration over repetitive shows, perceived arrogance from hosts, and a shift away from the original cooking-centric focus. Additionally, customers report poor customer service, citing unresponsive support regarding issues such as lost recipes. While some fans still appreciate select shows, the overall sentiment indicates a longing for a return to the network's foundational values of culinary education and inspiration, suggesting a need for significant content and service improvements.

I'm addicted to watching this station and I think I have gained 10 lbs from watching Iron Chef cause it makes me hungry. They have great recipes and the online site is more useful than watching TV because they have printable versions of all of the recipes.

I love the Food Network and their gorgeous website. What is great is that you can search for a recipe and you'll get one from several different chefs. It is a little slow for some pages, but when you consider the wealth of information on the site and the millions of people accessing it at all times, it's not bad at all.

I haven't used a recipe book ever since I found this website and have been watching food network ever since. Even if you don't like to cook, food network is a great channel to watch. Makes me hungry just thinking about it... This is the first place I look when I want to try a new recipe. The videos are great too!

Why don't they answer my emails? - I love the Food Network, per se. I was just floored to find they had changed their website with new colors and format. Frankly, I may be alone in this but, I hate their new colors. That red and black drives me nuts, the pages turn very slowly (like they're sticking) and trying to find something on the page is a little tedius. I have voiced my comments to The Powers That Be there but, so far, have not gotten a response. I merely asked if it were possible to go back to their old format which I thought was easier to navigate. What'cha think? Will I get a response or is this their modus operandi? Just curious.

Who's the hottest food network star? - I'm thinking hands down it's gotta be Giada. Rachel Ray has the more bubbly personality, but seems to have "let herself go" recently. Although her new hairstyle is paying dividends this season.

A close runner up is Sandra Lee -- too bad she can't really cook!

My Recipe Box
May 8, 2008

My Recipe Box - I really love this website. It's got great recipes that also list it's ratings, which Food Network chef created it, level of difficulty and nutitional value breakdown. Plus, most recipes also have pics. Easy to navigate and like most cooking websites, you can also search for recipes based on main ingredient or cooking techniques. Also, if you watch Food Network like me, you can watch the dish being made on TV and follown the basic technique and then get the recipe online, you're not scrambling to write it down or memorize it at that moment.
