FoodNetwork Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is increasingly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived declines in programming quality and a lack of engaging content. Viewers express frustration over repetitive shows, perceived arrogance from hosts, and a shift away from the original cooking-centric focus. Additionally, customers report poor customer service, citing unresponsive support regarding issues such as lost recipes. While some fans still appreciate select shows, the overall sentiment indicates a longing for a return to the network's foundational values of culinary education and inspiration, suggesting a need for significant content and service improvements.

I guess you don't read these reviews as it seems everyone feels the same as I do. So sick of DDD and cutthroat kitchen, chopped, cupcake wars. I've gone to PBS cooking shown

Was, happily, watching foodnetwork and cookingchannel for years, however, in the past year or so, I've found that the programming-quality has declined, drastically: Fewer individual chefs, more foolish conflict-oriented competition shows, hours and hours of repetition, fast visual cutting, and unendurable noisy tracks. Culinary-learning and production creativity have taken a real dive!

Too many Ds and Gs
June 10, 2016

It's time to remove DDD and GGG it is far too much to deal with all day Friday and every Sunday; I'm tired of it. There is no more Barefoot Contessa and The Pioneer Woman because it has become Guy Fieri network instead.

I used to watch food network growing up, learning and enjoying the cooking of chefs. Now it is nothing but competitions. Diners drive ins and dives is the only relief in the 24 hour day on that network. And even worse than the wars, and cutthroats, and chopped, is the children competitions. What has food network become? I want my COOKING shows back.

What happened to the cooking shows that teach how to cook?! I'm sick of reality cooking shows & challenges! I used to enjoy the real cooking shows but now don't like FN@ all! So sad!

No New Shows
June 4, 2016

The repeats are ridiculous- why no new episodes of what seems to be any show? I had been a big fan & learned a lot watching chefs cook, but not so much anymore! Stop all the games & competitions & get back to chefs teaching something!

Can we please honor the beginning of our existence without MEAT! I honestly enjoy the network and truly miss the "BAM KING", Emeril. I also love Triple D & G, however, it would be a dream to see folks compete in creating some tantalizing vegetarian happiness!

When is The Kitchen going to shape up. Get rid of Sunny. She's a big mouth, rude glutinous person who looks like a clown. Then there is Jeff who can bust anyone's ear drums with his big mouth. We come to Katie whose screechy voice would make you change the channel. The other two are okay, as long as they don't copy any of the other threes bad habits.

Just read about the "new" shows FN will air -- well, it is the same old stuff - competition, games, and a return to 'touring' show where the host(s) goes around to locations and sample food. The original premise of FN was cooking now it is nonsense.

I loved the idea how to make an ice bucket by GZ. You can also use the buckets, winter only, outside with candles inside of them. Did this in N. H. when I lived there :)

Camera angles
April 6, 2016

Why do the cameras focus on the person's face. I want to see WHAT they are doing. I can hear them while watching. Getting to the point where I will stop watching.

What the hell happend to the food network? Used to enjoy watching cooking shows that would teach me to be more creative in the kitchen. Actuall people cooking with everyday ingredients. Now it's nothing but a joke! Who wants to watch idiots try to create a meal using squid and a pitchfork? Triple D isn't bad. I would like to visit these diners and try some of their dishes. Just don't expect to find the recipes on the food network just as guy promises. This weekend I just so happen to have some free time to relax and maybe watch a cooking show only to be totally disappointed after reviewing the schedule. Same 5 shows in a repeat rotation. What kind of professor does the programming for food network. I could accept reruns in the middle of the night when only the weirdos are still up. I expect better for weekend daytime programming.

I generally enjoy watching FN but watching Judy Joo eating LIVE seafood recently was absolutely disgusting. I understand that Koreans have no regard for animal welfare but to subject FN viewers to this was wrong. Also Judy is the most annoying TV chef ever with her saccharine, sweet and inane grinning and that annoying American twang. She sounds like a female Lloyd Grossman and really grates on my nerves.

Why do they expose Alex Guarneschelli, and a few other personalities so much? They are tired and should go back to their kitchens and cook for real. All of these judging shows are such joke. I love Alton Brown, but his late night cooking show, Cutthroat Kitchen is the most ridiculous ever! Hate it. I love to cook and learn about cooking, FN has become nothing but a gigantic 24hr commercial.
