FoodNetwork Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is increasingly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived declines in programming quality and a lack of engaging content. Viewers express frustration over repetitive shows, perceived arrogance from hosts, and a shift away from the original cooking-centric focus. Additionally, customers report poor customer service, citing unresponsive support regarding issues such as lost recipes. While some fans still appreciate select shows, the overall sentiment indicates a longing for a return to the network's foundational values of culinary education and inspiration, suggesting a need for significant content and service improvements.

Please bring back Farmhouse Rules, Paula Deen, and make them available for streaming. The Kitchen is great, but they don't have to yell, take it down a notch. Make these shows available for streaming the next day on HULU. Get with it people you are losing viewers.

Food network
June 5, 2017

My wife watches this channel 24/7 that being said. I I hate the food network! I concider killing myself rite now. And always when I am watching "guy f" or whatever. Personally I don't give a $#*!! It's just food! Let it go. The places that you have shown in my area are medeorica at best. The only thing that you are doing is promoting your lame show. I can't believe that know won else has stated this fact.

Blonde guy
May 27, 2017

I think your blonde guy with tattoos has over staid his welcome. You send him to great restaurants, they want to be on the show, But her is the last person they want to deal with. He is a slug. You are missing it. David

RIP Food Network
May 24, 2017

I used to watch the Food Network to learn how to make new things by real chefs. Those days are long long gone. Someone changed the recipe, pun intended. First of all they stopped using chefs and started using nit wit talentless bloggers and B grade actresses who spend half of the show telling stories and the other half showing you how to make sandwiches and cookies. But even that was relegated to early mornings, because it was competition time. People trying to make food FAST. Let's watch endless hours of people making crap food FAST. Intermix that with endless hours of Diners Drive Ins and Dives. Now the ultimate in stupidity. Kids. Kids cooking. Kids baking. Kids grilling. I don't want to watch kids messing with food. No more Food Network. I am back to PBS on Saturdays. Martha... no stupid girls night stories, just real recipes that I don't already know how to make. No here's my life on the ranch BS. No peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. No FREAKIN KIDS and the extent of their competition is a little baking show that at least gives its bakers a reasonable amount of time.

Same as HGTV
April 27, 2017

Love Food Network, just hate all of the damn competition shows that they have. Where are the regular chefs, like Emeril, Paula Deen, etc.? I'm tired of these has-been Hollywood idiots like Trisha Yearwood and Valerie Bertinelli getting cooking shows when there are much better and real chefs out there. FOOD NETWORK NEEDS TO DUMP THE COMPETITION SHOWS AND THE WANNABE CHEFS!

I love cooking shows that actually teach you something. I find it a shame that this channel no longer offers that. The daytime block is nothing but cupcake wars and the random guy fieri show. I will just have to look to PBS for quality cooking shows. The cooking channel is no better anymore either. On a positive the web site offers recipes from the channels past like Mario Batal or Jamie Oliver and many others.

What happened
April 21, 2017

I use to love food network but no other that Saturday morning it does not seem worth watching. I miss the days of cooking shows that taught you recipes. Now it's hard to find those shows. It's all reality junk. No new talent running their own show.

Sometimes I know who is going to be chopped before they begin to cook. I like the show but they should judge the food presentation more.

My favorites are the home cooking features where I can learn actual recipes and techniques. Best (to me) are the Pioneer Woman and Farmhouse Rules. I can do without the chopped competitions although I do love watching the Child Chefs. I have seen children so small they had to stand on step stools to reach the counter top. I am so impressed that children understand sauteing, poaching, braising, and other terms I didn't know until my 30s. Like other networks, you will find some shows you like and others you will skip. With all the stress in our lives today, I find the cooking shows relaxing.

I cannot believe how bad food network and cooking channel is. Do I really want to watch someone watch others making hamburgers over and over again, Diners, Driveins and Dives and You gotta eat here. NO! I want real cooking shows. The cooking channel is so bad also, it consists of old re-runs of shows and the worst new shows I have ever seen. IE, Rev's Run, Dinner at Tiffany's, Laura's cooking show, Patti Labelle, Cupcake wars (who eats ths junk), Cake Hunters etc etc.
Take a page out of GUSTO network! They have real cooking shows instead of the junk fillers the Food Network has. I have never wanted to eat anything that Giada De Laurentis has on her shows (especially that I heard she spits out her food, too busy showing off her boobs to eat), cake wars, on and on and on with crappy shows. Whoever is in charge of programming should be shot, or at least fired.

I just finished watching Chopped Beta Booby Flay--a special edition. What a total disappointment. Don't get me wrong I like Booby Flay, he is very pleasant and entertaining. But he did not win Chopped! Firstly he only went through one round, secondly his presentation was crap, it looked like something thrown together, and thirdly, in Beat Bobby Flay the judges do not know who prepared the food. The wrong guy was given the title of chopped champion. The Judging is Biased, Rigged at best. SO OBVIOUS! Redo the competition, have Booby go through all three rounds against top chefs, and in all cases the judges should be judging without knowing who presented the dish. SORRY BOBBY YOU ARE NOT CHOPPED CHAMPION, Not in my book > the judges gave it to you on a silver platter. I will no longer watch chopped, because I am truly tired of the judging that is so blatantly fixed. Chef Seis was clearly the winner, much nicer presentation. It seems like the judges were looking for any excuse to give it to Booby Flay. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU.

I have been a huge fan of the real instructional cooking shows on Food Network and rhe Cooking Channel for so many years but have not watched these channels for the last two years since the real cooking shows were taken away and the powers that be replaced them with such utter nonsense that is unbearable to watch. What is wrong with the people in charge of programming and where are my favorite shows like Ina Garten, Pioneer Woman etc? Until you put real cooking shows on, you have lost a loyal viewer.
