Self-checkout

I used to shop at five below frequently; school shopping, holidays, for work. I will not return unless they get rid of the self- checkout only option. I understand the need to tighten up but customer service is not the answer! I feel that is disrespectful to the customers, who can just as easily spend their money elsewhere. AND I WILL!

Headphones of Hell

When I bought these headphones at first, I though it'll be easier to listen to music while working out or at school. But when I listen to music, it sounds like I'm listening to an ear rape compilation and it hurts my ears due how sounds sensitive I am and the comfort didn't help, I was in a car ride home one time and they hurt so bad. Today this morning, I went to grab them and put it on until I heard them snap. I didn't want to deal with the annoying kids at the bus, so I just kept them on and it still hurt my ears and very difficult to listen to music, I just want to listen to Set it Off and K/DA in peace without taking them off to fix my ears from hurting too much.

Inferior products

Bought wireless headphones. They broke after just one month. Bought another set thinking exercising EXTREME care would make a difference. It did not. They snapped after just one month. I won't be going here again.

While shopping, in the Columbia, SC location, I noticed an elder employee constantly following me while I shopped. At first I didn't think anything of it, but then she constantly showed up around every corner that I was. She was also very rude as I checked out. It was an embarrassing experience for me. I will definitely shop online from now on.

Satan spray

PSA-Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT buy this fart spray for your child. I bought this at five below as a stocking stuffer for my cousin Joey, but decided to give it to him today. In all honesty, the disgusting side of me was so curious about what it smelled like and really didn't want to wait til' Christmas. Big mistake. BIG MISTAKE. Joey was excited to get this vomit-inducing demon spray, and I told him to just do a tiny squirt. Ha, wtf was I thinking a 9 yr old was gonna do with this?! I swear he summoned the strength of Thanos, and half the bottle of this death juice was emitted all over the friggin living room, and unfortunately, on me as well. There is a 5 second calm before your nostrils get assaulted. Then BOOM! I don't even know how to describe the repulsiveness of this $#*!. I'm not sure what kind of farts are supposed to smell like this, but whoever created this needs to see a gastroenterologist STAT. I guess you could compare it to a rotten carcass in the middle of August, covered in Parmesan cheese and curdled milk. Anyways, we both start gagging uncontrollably. After about 10 minutes of this insanity, me scrubbing off 3 layers of skin, and the rest of my apple scented concentrated room spray was used, there is still a hint of this Satan spray left. Now it just smells like $#*! covered apples, "crapples" if you will. So just a heads up, spare yourself this bs and buy your kids ANYTHING besides this.

My daughter talked me into going in this store for the first time. We actually had an amazing experience that day. I was very impressed with the items we got, the price, and the quality of those items. So, a few days later, decided to order some things online. Everything I added to my cart was available and I paid immediately after. Waited a little longer than I do with other companies, for my items to come in the mail. I open the box, and there were multiple items missing. I paid $8 for shipping. If I would've known that I would've went to the store. I ordered online because I wanted a few things they didn't have in my store. How do they let you pay for items then sell them to someone else later on!? Never got an email about it either. I talked to the "online chat" and they did refund me my shipping fee and the items that were missing so at least that's fair. Just disappointing to say the least.

Great service at Willowbrook Store
July 29, 2022

I visited 5 Below in Willowbrook NJ and spoke to the employee at the door. Her name was Leighana. I was looking for a particular key ring and she knew exactly what I wanted and where to find it! She was so friendly and helpful! She showed me the great reusable shopping bag, so I bought 10! I will definitely be back to shop!

I have been trying unsuccessfully to purchase a fairly large order, over $300 in things for my son, fillers to just have around the house, floats for the pool, games for him and his friends etc things that I don't really expect to last much longer than a year or 2 max. Tho I have to say a lot of the things I have gotten there or my sister and her kids, have held up surprisingly well. ——
My issue is w the website & the app. Days. Days I have been trying to shop and put this order thru and half of the items I clicked "add to cart" are not there on the website, I can't remove or add anything anymore at that point. It just sits there—doing nothing. The App omg I spent forever adding things to my cart—-only to go to check out and see "YOUR CART IS EMPTY" message and was like whaaaaaat?! How?! So I later went to the website only to have basically a very similar issues. Come on what is this?! Fig it out bc u just lost an order of at least $300+ bc I've had it. I'm tapping out. I wld give the WEBSITE & APP- 1 STAR. 1. it's failed me.

As far as a review of the PRODUCTS I feel obvy if you r paying on avg $5 for it l mean I wld hope ppl r not expecting to get these top of the line, really well made wow products…right? U paid $5.00! Lol smh Tho tbh most of what I have seen and or purchased in the past serve their exact purpose or better — some ppl feel these products shld perform at a much higher level…. Well I wld say go get the much higher level of whatever then n it will!

Ridiculous

From the minute I walked into the Cicero, NY store I was being watched and followed. Every corner I turned same girl watching. I even called her on it. Kudos for training staff on stealing. Total turn off to us who are honest and in our mid 50s. Might wanna train better. Absolutely ridiculous and a bit too much.

Unfair to customer

Went to store on rt 1 Alexandria VA the store was filthy. There was a sign that shoes were 3 for $10 when I got to register she charged $8 each. When I complained and pointed out the sign she said that sale has been over and continues to put them in bag. I said if you aren't going to honor on shelf I don't want after arguing and asking numerous time for a manager she took them off. I went to talk to manager who said she's right we can't sell for price on shelf that is over. Very rude walked away while I was talking to her

Forst off I have been inside you're west oc location almost everyday to buy goods since I work next door. I say outside the business nextdoor (as I was off amd it'd behind my business. The manager of 5 below which in 3 months this is my forst time seeing her actually work) she threatened to call the cops on me please let me know what is illegal aBout sitting outside my place of work? She said I was a $#*! and had to leave. Please tell me hoe that's ok so I don't hire. Lawyer to sue?

Five below needs to change their name, to "Five Above" I went to one of the Five Below here in Houston, TX and they have raised their prices. They have more stuff in their stores more than five dollars, even the five dollor items have went up to $5.55 and $5.95. I brought six items today and spent $46.11, almost $50.00! Ridiculous! CHANGE THE NAME!

Prices are average however beware of check out it's self checkout which I detest if I have to be my own cashier and bagger then lower your prices and have hand sanitizer at the register it's very unsanitary to use the machines and no one wipes them down they are as bad as Walmart I will not shop there again along with Walmart not getting paid to be a cashier or bagger and very unsanitary

Ignored for Gossip!

I walked in with a group of several people. The two women by the door said nothing.
I let it slide. I was just going to grab my cart and get what I came for. But then I overheard them. The blonde one was practically whisper yelling about another I assume employee. Someone trying to check out had to ask them several times just to get help! I cannot believr the poor customer service! They went right back to gossiping and we're still there when I was trying to check out! The younger woman helped me when my card wasn't working. But that blonde woman was so rude! She greeted customers with such a terrible tone. You could tell she just wanted us all to leave so she could finish her 'conversation'.
I will not be returning to this tricounty fivebelows!
