Got one as a gift for the holidays. Great product, and very helpful instructions on how to get it set up. I would recommend to everyone

I purchased a Fitbit Versa Lite from Fitbit.com on October 2nd 2019 it lasted a little over 2 months before all functions weren't working. I contacted Fitbit customer service and after their help and 4 calls nothing worked at all, it wouldn't even turn on or at least keep time. Then after 4 days they finally agreed to replace the watch, now I am at their mercy for getting a replacement which may or may not happen till the Dec. 27,2019. This started on Dec. 13,2019. Before the Versa Lite I had a Fitbit Charge, the first one lasted under a year, they replaced it and the replacement only lasted a little over a year. They poor customer service and products don't seem to last. I will not ever purchase anything from Fitbit again. I will spend a little bit more and get a more reliable product.

I have purchased 3 fitbits myself, my husband 2, bought my best friend one, purchased a scale loved it so much that I purchased another for my parents. I have always spoken highly of my Fitbit products until now...
My most recent tracker purchased was a versa special edition At the end of August 2018 for $300. It has worked great until Fitbit changed the app and added this new premium account stuff and I have had nothing but problems since I did the 30 day trial and declined to purchase this add on the tracker was already suppose to do most of these things as my previous ones did.
It started only tracking simple sleep patterns, I messaged them at first they said it was because I wear it on my dominant hand then it was I don't wear it properly. Funny because I know how to wear my watch it's worked fine for just over a year, they spoke to me like I have no idea how to use the product, sent me sleeping tips etc. Seriously not happy, suggested I restart it, update the app which they never told me about until after a week of emails. Next step try to factory reset your Fitbit... guess what now the heart rate monitor doesn't work... well they said your tracker is over the year, here's 25% off of a new one... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I understand it's just over the year mark but seriously the problem wasn't anything I did. They just want people to but the premium package to have it do what you purchased it for.
Not only did they speak to me like I'm unintelligent and send condescending emails but will not back the quality of their products or care to keep their customers happy.
Never again will I purchase a Fitbit product. My tracker stopped working due to something they did not me...

Terrible service
December 10, 2019

Ordered a fit bit on cyber Monday at 10:37pm with 2 day expedited shipping. Received it a week later, 2 days after my wife's birthday. Called customer service, "Eduardo. M and the Fitbit Team". They tell me I placed my order on Tuesday 7:37pm and that it takes 2 days from order to ship. I provided their own confo email showing Monday's order and they still refuse to except I ordered Monday. I understand Tuesday would be the order date but not 24hours after original order. I actually looked when they shipped it and it was shipped 68hours after they claim I ordered it which still makes them late sending it. Customer service sucks at this company and Eduardo and his team are condescending pr! Cks who could care less to do the right thing. Don't waste your money with this company!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD
December 9, 2019

I called customer service because I returned a brand new fit bit VERSA and they answer from an India call center. OK that sucks in itself, they don't support American jobs. The stupid girl asked me the same questions 3 times or more then basically told me she couldn't do anything too bad so sad. She was very unhelpful and really pretty stupid. I would not recommend them or their products since they can't back them up with any support.

Wearers of the Charge 2 and 3 will suffer frustrating disappointment because the tracker is refusing to sync. If it doesn't sync you can't see steps, miles, heart rate, or anything else.

Don't bother calling customer disservice, if you're trying to sync to your Android they'll actually tell you to buy an Apple watch. My BF has an Apple and they told him to buy an Android! In other words, thousands of watches aren't syncing and Fitbit is saying they know about the problem but it's the fault of your cellphone!?!

Try another fitness tracker.

Horrible customer service. I bought my Fitbit versa two months ago. It stopped reading my heart rate last month. I reached out to them because they offer a warranty supposedly, but now refuse to help me fix or replace my device. I keep getting some weird computerized response about how they will monitor the issue. I keep asking them to honor the warranty they promise, but they won't. I'm super disappointed with my service and the product. I will never ever buy Fitbit again. Had I known they treated their loyal customers like this I would have never purchased this recent device. I am truly do offended by this awful experience and craftsmanship.

Poor quality
November 4, 2019

I have the Fitbit Versa and it cracked with normal use after about 2 months. They clearly don't make the screen very strong as I've read many reviews with the same concern. The warranty doesn't cover this, as I'm sure it happens often. Instead of strengthening the screen and offering a replacement, I was offered a discount for another. Why would I purchase another with the same issues? Don't purchase if you have an active lifestyle, which is clearly why we want it! So frustrating!

DO NOT GET A FITBIT!
October 21, 2019

DO NOT GET A FITBIT! I purchased a fitbit versa for my husband last November. The device stopped working correctly by April. The times is off by 8-10 minutes. I spent 2 months googling and looking for different ways to trouble shoot the device. I finally gave up! I called Fitbit customer service to see if I can get a warranty exchange in Oct before my year is up. They gave me the run around and wanted me to spend MORE TIME on trouble shooting the device before they would consider an exchange.
I have personally had an apple watch for 3 years and I have had 1 issue with the device. I walked into an apple store, they took the device and repaired the item asap and returned the item to me. As SIMPLE AS THAT!

Stay Away from Fitbit!
October 17, 2019

I have had three fitbit altas. All three had band problems. I lost the first watch when the band came off and I didn't notice it. The second one did the same thing. The third one broke and I replace the band three times. It broke again and fitbit said they "were working on the design" I could get a replacement band. What the heck good is a replacement band -they all come off the watch! I figured I could at least wear the watch for awhile if I glued the band on. I did, it lasted two months before the watch died. My LAST fitbit. NEVER again!

Buyer beware. Avoid FitBit! My FitBit Alta HR suddenly stopped working about 23 months after purchase. The green heart rate lights now stay on constantly and the battery drains in about 6 hours. After contacting FitBit customer service, they offered a 25% discount on a new FitBit. If you ready the Fitbit Community discussion forum, you'll see that many, many Alta HR users have the same problem, and most of these problems started at the same time. The same thing also happened with other models. The Toronto Star covered this in an article you can find via a google search. FitBit steadfastly refuses to acknowledge that their hardware is faulty. Their customer service reps just repeat the same bot-like party line, over and over. "It's out of warranty. We can give you a 25% discount."

Fitbit Failure
October 5, 2019

Coming in hot with the awesome news that my Ionic has official died on me, along with many others in the world. The best part is that my watch is only 2 weeks out of warranty (which need I mind everyone FITBIT didn't allow stores to provide a store warranty)and I was offered two options. One being a email from a head honcho, so they say, that doesn't do customer service on the phone only through email. Then, it gets better, a measly 25% off coupon, which expires in 30 days, to buy yet another failure of a watch. I spent 2 days talking to customer service to be told my watch has already been replaced, which was false. Finally, got ahold of a supervisor (Kelly T) who told me that she has done everything she can do and there was no one else I could talk to above her, unless I wanted to email. The way she spoke to me was as if I was talking to a computer and every time I spoke she was always trying to speak over me. This watch meant a lot to me seeing it was my first year anniversary gift and now $300 has gone down the drain just to be told sorry as FITBIT becomes a little richer. I can honestly say this is not the first Fitbit watch I've owned and have always loved my FITBIT, until now! Customer service was horrible and very much all trained to tell me the same thing and that maybe I should buy another. I hope this reaches everyone on the market when making a decision on what kind of watch to buy. I will never buy another FITBIT product again. Although, I will thank BestBuy for being so considerate on how awful FITBIT customer service was (as they heard the whole conversation) and offered a gift card to help a little. It wasn't much, but seeing they couldn't do anything about the product failure they tried to compensate for the disappointment FITBIT has given me on something that meant so much.

Charge 2 Waste of Money
September 18, 2019

Inferior product. Never stayed charged for duration of company claimed. Charge every 1 1/2 to 2 days if I am lucky. Hard to sync. EXTREMELY disappointed. Charge clasp has always been faulty. If you don't attach it at EXACTLY the right angle, watch is dead or weakly charged in the morning. Warranty is meaningless. Caveat emptor.

My original Versa was a gift. I relied most on it being waterproof and tracking my aerobic activity in the pool. It died 6 months in. I reached out to customer service and went through all of their hoops to prove that it really didn't work before they would send me a replacement. The replacement worked for 7 months and then it died.

At this point I was *really* disappointed in the device but I did what I had before and reached out to customer service. I explained that this was the SECOND Versa that had stopped working. I was hoping that it would be replaced so at least I would have something to use until I could find a reliable replacement but I was told that the ORIGINAL device was no longer under warranty (duh, and I no longer have the original because it malfunctioned and died). I was completely gobsmacked that this was their response! Then after complaining about how asinine it is that they would not replace it they offered me that stupid 25% discount off of a NEW device. I had to remind them that the device I currently had was considered NEW and should still be under warranty considering it REPLACED a NEW device that was under warranty when it died. They put me on hold and then came back and offered me 50% off a new device but the offer expired in 30 days.
I seriously contemplated purchasing a Versa Lite (I need swimproof) but I just couldn't convince myself that it was worth giving them my money without having the assurance that I was going to get a product that lasted longer than 7-9 months.

I will be purchasing another manufacturers device (very few are water proof beyond a shower) and it will be for a fraction of the cost, so at least if it doesn't last long, I'm not out $180.

5 years of headaches
August 1, 2019

I've been with Fitbit for 5 years. Every few months there's an issue. I keep holding on hoping they'll redeem themselves because I love the Fitbit for the few months they actually work. I've had 4 different fitbits (charge, charge 2, blaze, versa). Same result for everyone. I finally give up and am going to invest in the apple watch for peace of mind.

Junk
July 8, 2019

I mean who actually NEEDS a sweaty phobic piece of crap around their wrist telling them how far they walked or what they should be eating! I'm plenty active, and it's just a hassle to have on. It holds sweat up against your wrist and gets itchy. I did NOT purchase it, my daughter did for a gift. When all I wanted was a cheap little watch. Interesting FACT, my device suddenly would not charge at all and I also suddenly began getting constant emails from FITBIT with coupons and discounts to purchase a new one! Haha, never happen, I'm consistently active and it's a no need purchase waste of money
