I have ordered twice now and have the same response so I am comfortable posting this. Having ordered both trees and bushes, the same comments apply to both. The customer service reps are polite, knowledgeable and patient. The orders were filled accurately and both arrived in near perfect condition. The instructions sent explained exactly what to do when the plants arrived. The ONLY reason I did not give them a 5 star rating is because I would have preferred quicker shipping... but patience is a virtue and that is in my rear view mirror as I watch my beautiful plants grow!
I was referred to your website by my daughter in law. I found the BlackBerry bushes that I was looking for and they were received within weeks. I planted them immediately and they look fantastic!
Tree was packed well and in good shape upon arrival.
I am very happy with the quality of the tree I received!
Ordered three trees for close to $300. Willow appears fine but flowering cherry trees where pest infested; evidenced by holes in the leaves while other leaves were eaten along the edges. Called the company and immediately they went into defensive mode explaining how none of their trees could possibly be damaged since they check them and would never ship a tree such as I received. I played the picture game which appears to be part of the new run around game. Not once but twice. Their only concession was to ship them back at my expense so they could better assess the healthiness of the two trees. Not gonna do that. Oh, and I forgot. They offered me.'an extended warranty of 45 days'. What was that going to do for me? Just bought the trees and they refuse to replace them when received damaged. One should read the emails they send. They talk around and over the problem like life is good and any problem can be cured by me and a Q tip scrubbing behind the ears of all the little leaves. Unbelievable. I could go on and on. It's been nothing but a complete waste of my money, time on the phone and taking pictures only for the purpose of them appearing to be concerned about the problem yet doing nothing!
So... this is what you do: you save your money, you buy locally and see what your buying and you avoid rip off artists on the internet. These people have no intention of making good on trees they sell. Once they have your money, they have no intentions of giving it back or making good on their end of the sale! They will not take care of the customer!
I ordered a Meyer Lemon bush and the thing I got while healthy was not really a bush and sort of a deformed tree -- three branches together on one side with a long trunk. I contacted them and they immediately replaced it with a healthy lemon bush. The new one is great and arrived immediately. We have had Meyer lemons before and are looking forward to this one growing and giving us lemons. I would definitely order from them again.
Bought couple of trees late March, a pomegranate an a cherry tree which arrived in a single long shipping box. The Pomegranate tree in the shipping box had fallen down to the other end and resting on the pot of the bigger Cherry tree with branches all bent over. Its root ball was also separated from the dirt and was exposed. I called the customer service and upon providing some photos of the damage, they shipped another pomergranate tree.
Fast forward 3.5 months later, the replacement pomergranate is doing well (still very little but green). The surprised cherry tree, however, started loosing leafs and as of last month has been all dried up. I contacted customer service to see if it is normal and, if not, get a replacement for it. But, they want me to buy a 1 year warranty to be added to my order now for $34.43 to get a store credit for the tree (their 1 year warranty only costs $7!). So, I have to pay arounf $35 plus shipping cost to replace the tree that cost me about $80 and didn't last few months. BTW, I followed all of the planting, fertilizing, and watering instructions. Do yourself a favor and order either locally or online from HomeDepot, Lowes, etc. You will save $$ and can just return them for the full amount if needs be. I have attached couple of photos of the trees.
I bought a dwarf japanese maple for almost $100, it died within a week. They made me pay the shipping for a replacement, it too died within two weeks. These are horrible quality trees, with a horrible warrantee.
Buyer beware!
Tree arrived in very poor condition. Emailed company immediately and was told that it should recover when planted. It did not. The wilted leaves that were hanging on when it arrived dried up and fell off and since then there have only been two sprouts at very bottom of tree. I am very unhappy with the tree and the service that I received and from this company. So much for the "100% satisfaction guarantee" I believe I should be reimbursed or at the very least receive a replacement tree.
I bought Hass Avocado Tree from Fast Growing Tree.com, right after I received the plant they immediately requesting that I give them Review/Rating, I replied to them to get back to me a year later when the plant is a tree and producing fruit. Well the plant died within 6 months after I received it; Of course, I did not buy the warranty when I placed the Order, so now they are telling me "Thank you for contacting us. I'm sorry to hear that your Hass Avocado Tree is having issues. What I can do, as I did not show the order had the 1 Year Warranty, is I can add it as a courtesy for $13.67 and this will cover all of the plants on the order. We would then issue out store credit in the amount paid for the tree which can then be used to purchase the same one or anything on our website.
Look at all their Ratings, they are all about turn around time for delivery and the conditioned the plants are in on arrival. NOTHING about longevity of the plant NOTHING about survival rate of the plant I wonder why?... I will go to the Local Garden Center and buy one instead.
We are so sorry to hear that your experience wasn't great! There are so many environmental factors that go into the livelihood of a plant which is why we offer that 1 year warranty. We're going to reach out and see what we can do to help!
I purchased 8 Thuja Green Giant 5-6ft. The trees are crap for what I paid. Super skinny and thin. One has died of the 8 I bought and they won't replace because it's after 30 days and they expect me to give them another $400 to replace (cost of 1 year warranty of all the trees). I went to a local nursery for the first time and regret this purchase completely. There were the same trees twice as big and the same price. Do yourself a favor and go to your local nursery.
We are so sorry to hear about your experience. We have reached out privately and will work to resolve this!
My name is Dr. Socarras bought 9 Silian cypress, order #******* the add said 5 to 6 feet, 4 of them was less than five feet, besides took forever to received the merchandise, paid top dollars($1400. 00), will never do buisiness again with this company.
We're so sorry that some of your trees were not the guaranteed height! We have reached out to you to turn this experience around!
Was quite hesitant to order live plants online, but fastgrowingtree.com had exactly what I was looking for - skip laurel shrubs. I ordered 5 x 1 - 2 foot plants, and while the shipping boxes had some damage (one box ripped open), the plants were in very good shape. Completely impressed with the size! While I ordered the 1-2 ft size, the smallest was just over 2 feet tall (measured from stem to top), the largest was almost 3 feet tall (2' 10")! I'm cautiously optimistic to see how they'll do, but so far impressed. Thanks to the crew at FastgrowingTrees! Will let you know how they do.
While ordering and customer service was great, the actual shipping of the plants is the absolute worst! All 4 of the 2ft cypress came in damaged from the box. They places 2 in a long 8ft box. These trees were only 3ft long including the pot!
The handling is what made it worse. FedEx bent the box causing the trees to fall to one side. 2 trees were completely broke and the other 2 were out of their pots with roots exposed.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
Real piece of work. Arbitrarily change delivery date with no communication. I probably lost that $$$
We apologize that we had to change the shipping date for your order. Due to the current pandemic we have had to scale back to ensure safety for us and for our customers during the busiest time of the year for us and unfortunately had to push all orders back in mid-June. It looks like we were able to get the order canceled and refunded for you but do apologize again for the inconvenience!
I really wanted to like them... the website was friendly and helpful and generated excitement about the prospect of buying new trees and shrubs, the ordering process was easy, I was kept informed about the status, and when I got these sad broken trees and shrubs as my purchased product, they DID send out a replacement.
None of this changes the fact that I received scrawny, broken, dead items - even the replacement was dead and broken! So I spent 3-4X what a local purchase at a big box store or nursery would have cost (and for larger and much healthier plants). It's a neat idea, but it just doesn't work... you cannot buy trees and shrubs via mail (because, obviously, shipping and cost considerations).
So I think the business process and performance (website, ordering, customer service) are setup well - but they do not have a workable product to sell, so the buyer ends-up disappointed. I regret wasting the few hundred dollars that I did, but I also admit it was an experiment to see if this worked (can you really buy trees on the web).
It doesn't. Buy local.
PS: I will add that Fast Growing Trees curates the reviews on their website to only include positive reviews with maybe one or two "mildly" critical reviews. I consider this to be disingenuous and misleading to the consumer, which makes me angrier than anything about my service experience - and why I took the time to write this honest review here.
We are so sorry to see the condition that your plants are arriving in! We are reaching out privately to offer some assistance!
I ordered fruit trees and never received them. They reversed the charges on my card. Maybe they were out of stock or could not send them for another reason but never got an email explaining why.
Due to agricultural restrictions in CA, they prohibit certain plants from being shipped into the state. We're sorry for the inconvenience!
I was purchasing the tree on-line so didn't get a feel for how big the tree would be. It was not for me and needed to go on a roof terrace so I went for the shortest tree so that it would survive in a pot for a few years. I guess I expected it to be more bushy hence the slight disappointment but It looked healthy which is the main thing. My queries were answered promptly via email with helpful information.
My plants are dead, I followed your procedure. I sent you photo and reasons, with no response.
Now you ask me if I am satisfied.
NOT ONE BIT
We are so sorry for the delayed response when reaching out to us! It looks like we've since been able to resolve this for you!
Trees died but they replaced them with no problems.
Answer: Cancel your order now before it's too late, go to a local nursery and save yourself some money and unwarranted aggravation, these folks are not honorable.
Answer: I ordered 3 autumn blaze maples. They have been in the ground for 2 years now and have yet to turn red in the fall. I did some research and found that they only turn red if the temperature conditions are right. I live in Idaho and we basically skipped fall this year and went straight into winter. So once again the leaves just turned brown. I am hoping to finally get a display next year.
Answer: The same thing is happening to me. My tree died and they keep saying they're going to make good and nothing happens. Real crooks, this company.
