Just tried to change the date of a flight and they said that it would be a $315 processing fee, funny that with my buddy they said $300, plus $500 from the airline but that they cannot guarantee the change. So i told them keep the ticket as is. Their response was "How much were you expecting?" Why is a travel agency negotiating a deal over the phone. Please stay away!

AMAZING
August 8, 2015

Ok so I booked my flight through Faregeek then I saw all the reviews and panicked like CRAZY! Truth is I had no need to, the people who are all saying how bad they are is because they clearly have not read the T&C's with their flights and bookings. Many people have booked then wanted to change, or they say that they mis sold them the flight due to times etc. I'm sorry but if you can't look at a map before booking your flight and realising that you will have less than 2 minutes to bord your next flight in a different state then that's your fault not the websites!
This whole booking has been a breeze. Not only has it saved me almost £200.00 and has been easy I was always reassured by e-mail that things were going ahead. They have never had any hidden charges or caused me any stress. The only thing that has caused me stress is reading your reviews on various websites slating this great company! So for once here is a 5 star review! No issues no problems and great friendly staff at the contact centres that called me to make sure my booking was all good!

Customer service
August 4, 2015

Having a horrible customer service for the last a month or so. We were sold a ticket and it was for a minor. We were promised that we will be refunded and it's been over a month still not seen the money back in our account

I used bookingbuddy.com to find a flight for one of my sales reps. Booked the flight on faregeek (agaisnt my better judgement), received confirmation and confirmation number then got 2 separate emails confirming my flight. The day my rep arrives at the airport, the United agent tells him that his ticket was cancelled by faregeek... WTF? I call them they tell me yeah sorry we had technical difficulty so we cancelled it without informing you, but maybe your spam/junk box received the email. I explained that no I had nothing in my spam/junk box. The rude and ignorant (not the real word I would use) representative tells me "Oh maybe we tried calling you." Had to re-book my sales rep on a later flight same day with the airline for double the price! This site should be shut down! Scam artists who hire ignorant people who don't know the meaning of customer or service! Im being nice here, what I really want to say is not so PG! Criminals!

Booked my flight. They sent me a confirmation with the itinerary. I tried to confirm with the airlines the ticket was booked through and was told that the ticket was not confirmed by Faregeek. Called Faregeek, they told me that they had sent me an email to verify the credit card. Never received the verification email but I did receive the itenarary. So they had the right email but lied to me.

I would not recommend them to anyone. Very very poor customer service and a lot of gimmick, not only that but faregeek employs a bunch of lying, and rude thugs. This is a company thats going to have a huge lawsuit just waiting to happen, and I hope its sooner than later.

When I made the mistake of booking with this company, my airline ticket was confirmed to me by email for the right day but actually booked for the wrong day with the airline. When I found out the actual ticket was for the wrong date, I was told by Faregeek that I would be charged a change fee and the fare difference for the now higher fare to fly on the original date that I had requested and had a confirmation from Faregeek for. When I called the airline, it was much less to just book a new ticket directly with the airline. I also found out from the airline that the ticket price I was charged by faregeek booked for the wrong date was actually more than twice as much as the normal fare charged by the airline, as there was a commission charged of more than the ticket price. Bottom line, I was charged more than twice the cost of the airline ticket, sent an email with confirmation for the right date I requested, with the actual flight booked on the wrong date with the airline, Faregeek then tried to charge a cancellation fee, and an additional fee to have the ticket record corrected to receive the correct date that was confirmed to me via email already at a price more than twice as much as the actual directly with the airline..

It is not a serious agency! I think it is scam website.

They sent me a message that I got my ticket. Then I went to the airport and I was not registered on the plane!

Then I received a notification saying "that my reservation was successfully cancelled".

While I am writing these lines I am trying to get them on the phone: on hold for more than 50 minutes! There should be an option for no star!

Call the cops!
July 16, 2015

I called to book a ticket for my unaccompanied child with west jet. They sold me the ticket. After a few days I called west jet to get the papers that parents need to fill out. They informed that my child would not fly on their airline due to the fact that legally a third party company can not sell unaccompanied flights with them. So I called fare geeks back and told them the situation. Their supervisor even phone west jet to confirm and was told they are not legally allowed to sell that type of ticket. So he agreed to a refund. I have been waiting 5 weeks for the money, and everytime I call they give me the run around now. Getting pretty close to legal actions to prove a point on principles.

Booked a flight from Ottawa to Orlando for our son then next day he received email saying the flight had been cancelled while attending university. Called home saying why did you cancel my flight and told we didn't.My wife booked another flight directly with airline as FareGeek had cancelled flight on own. Ten months later no refund after speaking with 5 different representatives all claiming that it was being taken care of. Given similar story that supervisors on another call or in meetings when asked to speak to someone in charge.
Credit card company would not help us as they insisted that we could not prove who cancelled the ticket.

I book a trip to Bangkok with them for about $500 less than the competition. After reading the reviews, I was really concerned. I did try to contact them via email and phone and both times they responded promptly to my questions and requests. The price the quote me was accurate and they did not try to sell me anything else. I will buy from them again.

FareScam
July 7, 2015

Booked a flight, got a call 30 minute later saying that the price I got was a package deal.

They asked me for more money, I said no. They said the alternative is that you have to book your hotel with us for £600. I checked online for the same period, reasonable hotels were for £270. Then I said no way, I have better offers online and they offered me a hotel outside of the city for £320 (when I could get one inside the city next to the conference venue for £270). Said not interested, they said they will cancel the ticket, I was happy with their decision and gave them the confirmation that if it is not for that price, I am not interested in the ticket.

Send them 3 emails to say update me if you have cancelled my ticket or processed it, no response yet (funny how they called me back to raise the ticket within 30 minutes of booking but no response for a day since I am asking for some sort of confirmation).

Went to the bank, transferred the available funds to my wife's account so the transaction wont be successful before the money is taken out, and informed the bank of FareGeek's bad behaviour and cancelled the purchase.

If I could, I would gladly give them 0 star or take away the stars given above since I am highly certain, it is them and not legitimate customers, they are trying to change the customer crowdsourced feedback.

STAY AWAY.
July 6, 2015

I would give them zero stars if I could. I've essentially lost $500 even though I was told I could easily re-book for a fee after canceling. They're quoting me flight prices $400+ higher than what I see online. I'm so angry I don't even want to call them back. SERIOUSLY, STAY AWAY.

Terrible!
July 6, 2015

I recently booked a flight online. Shortly after I needed to change my flights. When I called to do so I was told there would be a $397 charge. After asking why I was told there was a $200 change fee and the rest was for a seat price difference. I was confused because there were several flights on line that were the same price as the ones I booked. After asking a few questions the man I spoke with was very rude and told me that, that was what I would have to pay. I asked if I could cancel. He said I could but that there was a $295 re booking fee. The customer service I received was terrible. I am very upset and will never be booking with this company again.

I have purchased an airline ticket, When I rechecked the price in couple of days the prices were reduced and i tried calling customer care for a price match, than they asked me to contact airlines, but the airlines are saying that i actually paid very less when compared to market price today and they said that what ever excess i paid is not for them but for the service offered by faregeek, when i recontacted them, they are saying you should contact within 24 hrs of your purchase and its too late to offer price match and very rude customer service, they don't even care about customer satisfaction and their behavior is like do what ever you want, we are least bother about customer satisfaction. I don't even want to give a one star for this kind of customer service attitude.

Yup, it doesn't get any worse than this when it comes to a cancelation policy. The call center is in India and they are unforgiving and ruthless. Avoid at all costs! I hope they go out of business soon.

Mechanical delay forced us to cancel a flight. Rebooked another flight through fareggek. They assured us we would get a refund on the first flight since we cancelled before takeoff. We argued with them several times. Each time, they said the person that sold us the tickets no longer worked there, they had no record of the reservation number, even though we had e mails from them with the reservation number on it. They would request the e mails be sent to them. This went on for 3 times. We got ripped off. They never refunded the money on the unused tickets. The airlines will not talk to you because they can see it was booked through an agent. Faregeek is a rip off. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
