This company does not honor their own fares. They will provide you with a confirmation and then in the upcoming days tell you they have had security issues lately and they are unable to honor the fair, but they can still book the flight for you at a higher cost. Other travel sites do not seem to have these issues. The worst part is they don't even tell you if you don't reach out to them that they never booked your ticket. Customer Care is nil, they really only have what seems like an outsourced call center to book new flights. Even if you think you found the best fare on their site, beware as it will end up costing you more.
If I could, I would give them 0 stars!
So, AFTER I had already received an email stating that my wife and I had CONFIRMED e-tickets issued, I found out today, when I went to the airport that FareDepot had cancelled our tickets. After I called the representative to get clarification, I was told about a processing code that I should have received, about which I was never called, but simply emailed (as if emails NEVER go to SPAM, right?). Then why did they email us confirmations!? And the rep was adamant that they DO NOT call as a policy. They also do not email you or call you to let you know your ticket has been cancelled. That's on you to find out either by monitoring your CC statement or going to the airport.
As a high school principal, my wife and I travel frequently, especially during the little time we get off for Summer. FareDepot caused me to incur significant loss and therefore I will not only never purchase anything through their site, but I will also not authorize any purchases for our high school's student trips. I will also strongly recommend to the other high schools in our district to steer clear and not be fooled by them.
What upset me the most was their lack of cooperation and their unwilling to help.
Hi Ali A. We apologize for the inconvenience in your travel booking experience. While processing your booking, we got a notification of High Risk. We sent a Security Check to verify your flight and payment details and to notify that your flight is nonrefundable. With less then 2 weeks before international flight they still never gave me a ticket number. When I called them, they said they contacted my card company and considered it a high risk. I inquired high risk of what? They just repeated the same thing. So I contacted my card company to see what was up only to hear that they never received any contact from FareDepot.com. So they never tried to purchase the ticket for me. While I was on the phone with the card company, I received notice that an email just came in notifying me of a cancellation on my booking from FareDepot.com. I had to scramble for a ticket with a return flight the same as my wife and 5 month old daughter. I had to pay $200.00 more because of the shorter time frame and got the last seat available. To say I was (and still am) tickeded off would be an understatement. Stay away from them. I almost missed being able to accompany my family their first time on an international fight. Not to mention I have to be with them for immigration to the US.

ABSOLUTELY horrific service. Should have looked them up before I booked, their online reviews are all very bad. Thus, I am in fact happy they cancel my booking, I simply took my business else where. Spare yourself and don't book through them.
They cancelled our bookings without attempting to resolve the issue. They pretended my credit card is not working. I tried to call them, no one never picks up. I emailed them back telling them I had called my bank, they didn't even see them attempting to charge my card at all. Then they accused me of not telling my bank they should let their charge go through while they clearly did not even try. Their response emails were all very rude as if it was my problem that they are incompetent.
Are people high when they wrote these reviews on Google? They probably paid these people for those reviews. If you do a quick Google search, all of their other reviews are terrifying. DO NOT BOOK through FareDepot.
Thank you, Jo P. Appreciate your feedback! We have knowledgeable agents available to assist at any time. We appreciate your feedback. If you could provide us with more feedback on the situation, in order to help resolve your issue. Thank you, FareDepot Team.
Hi, just wanted to share my recent experience with Faredepot for others who were like me, who bought a ticket off Momondo and got scared after reading horrible reviews.
I was searching for multi-stop flights with a good (Japanese) airline company from SFO-NRT (Japan), NRT-SGN (Saigon, Vietnam), SGN-SFO and usually the price range for flights with ANA or JAL would be about $700-1000+. But to my surprise, I found one for $663.10 on Momondo through Faredepot. Mind you, I considered Momondo as a reputable app for locating good prices so I didn't think so much into it when I purchased the tickets off their site.
And like all the other reviews on this site, Faredepot sends me a booking confirmation email stating that it was not an e ticket confirmation and will send me a follow-up email with security questions if necessary. I thought that was strange so I just wanted to double check on google and saw massive amounts of bad reviews about Faredepot. I felt super bummed that I was perhaps scammed, but I wanted to see what happens next because I could totally go through my bank to resolve the issue if necessary.
The next morning, about 10 hours later, I received a e-ticket confirmation via email with all the reservation codes from the flights I have with certain airlines. So, I double check the reservation codes on ANA and United airline's websites and viola! My information was there from my seating assignments, to my meal plan, and my flights times/dates were accurate. I was thoroughly pleased to see everything was confirmed, but just to triple check if these codes were legit, I called ANA airlines to confirm my flight details and it was all there!
Not sure about everyone else's experience was, but mine was pleasant since there was no hiccups on their end and my flights were secured with an amazing price. I even double checked my credit card to see if they tried to pull a fast one there, and nope, they charged me the promised amount of $663.10)which is a steal)! Would I recommend Faredepot to my friends? Yes I would! But I would advise to always read carefully and to double check everything way ahead of your flight. Otherwise, it worked well for me! Thanks Faredepot, I will look forward to my next flight with you in the future.
P.S. This is my own review from my own experiences and I did not get any payment or discounts for writing this honest review. I just want to let others know about the legitimacy of this discounted airline tickets website and whether it works. Though I don't know about whether they respond quickly to their emails and phone calls if there were issues with their bookings, so I cannot tell you much there since I did not need to use those services.
Thank you, Mimi L. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to helping you again the next time you book with us!
I wish I would of seen this website before I tried to book through Faredepot.com. I booked flights for myself, husband, kids and friends between 5:50am - 6:15am and received a "booking received" confirmation. At 6:17pm I still had not received confirmation so I contacted them directly via phone and was told by Omar (might be misspelled) that he pulled up my reservations and to stay by my computer because a authorization email would be sent requesting that I confirm the temporary charge on my credit card following a form I would need to fill out with my passport information. I did receive these request and within an hour of them coming through I responded and provided all they needed. At 11:15pm and 12:02am I received messages via email that they did not receive my response and that the flights went up $20pp. I had proof that I responded and also sent them proof which I'm sure they received when it was processed since the form is filled out in a program that sends confirmation that you submitted. Another issue I had before billing was at the time of checkout I was given a coupon code of "welcome10" which at checkout was an invalid coupon. However because I wanted to confirm my flights I followed up with them right after. I was told 3 different reasons why my code didn't go through; 1. Technical error, 2. Only for travel to Australia or New Zealand, 3. Only at checkout it can be applied (which is what I did)! Well clearly this was bait and switch they reel you in and then tell you oh sorry it didn't work we can't apply it now. I tried coupon again at checkout just to see if it works and still doesn't so they are not being honest. I'm very upset at their process and respected it at first but to say I didn't respond to their request is complete insanity. I was able to find my booking directly through united airlines and it clearly stated that the flights I had booked were going to expire at midnight therefore I could of been ticketed in time had they not lied that they didn't receive my form that they clearly did receive since I got confirmation. Faredepot said that the tickets went up and to respond right away so they can ticket my flights. How convenient now I should respond right away and you will ticket me at your convenience since you can now make money off of me. They are a horrible travel website and I will now have to contact BBB. Please do not book through them!

Ryan R, if you do care about the company's reputation, you and the team should be reachable at that particular time, and be responsive at a short period,... NOT 10 MONTHS LATER WHEN ALL is done. Don't bother then. It's worthless.
Karina T., we apologize for the inconvenience in your travel booking experience. According to our system regarding your fare that was changed by the airline. We reached out the personals responsible for reinstating the fare, unfortunately, they denied. We understand that you are not responsible for the overcharge so we will be refunding you the remainder to your card. We also sent an email explaining the situation to verify your change in details. We have clearly mentioned that we must receive a response from you to process the booking before your e-Ticket changes. The instructions were very clear on what was expected from you. This company is totally not responsive, try calling and always you will get voicemail, response time for email 16hours+, their live chat also non responsive. Better to pay extra somewhere else, I lost over $200 because of their lack of communication, just to get an email after trying to talk to somebody ne for a day and half that theres nothing they can do.

First off, I just want to let you know that any site you go on that reviews this company, any 'positive' feedback that is left is usually by a person that doesn't seem to grasp the English language that well and always praising how great fare depot is. I honestly believe that people from their company just write those reviews, so it's not 100% terrible ratings. Anyway, onto my experience.
I didn't see any reviews before booking my flight and went ahead to buy my ticket. Soon after, I noticed how many people were unhappy and telling how this company is a scam, and honestly it is. I had tried to call many times and they never picked up the phone. I wanted to cancel my ticket and the only way I ever got a response was via email with very broken English. The first email stated to cancel to my ticket, I would have to get charged on my credit card 200 dollars to cancel the ticket. I didn't agree to it and said I'd like to cancel my ticket because it's well within the cancellation period to get refunded. All of a sudden a few days later, I get emailed again and the price went from 200 to 400 dollars to get charged to get my money back. First off, that makes no sense to charge someone extra money on a credit card to get your money back. It seemed very fishy to me so I didn't agree to it.
I now keep getting spammed phone calls from them, asking me to cancel my ticket through email and to pay the fee. What company calls you asking you to cancel? It's my decision if I want to do that and I definitely don't agree to doing so if you're just going to charge me more money and not refund me anything.
With seeing all of these reviews, I can understand why you would never want to book with these guys. They only call you when it's convenient for them to get more money, but when you need something, they don't reply at all or are rude, or even just flat out lie. Don't trust any positive reviews from the company, because it's very shady if you read the reviews that are and how they are worded. Please don't purchase from these people. It's a scam company that try to say they are giving you a great deal, but in the end you end up paying money and not getting a ticket. Even worse, it seems they are in India, so it's international and hard to get paid back because they don't follow the same laws as in the USA. I really hope the company gets shut down, because no one should ever have fraud like these jerks.

Don't buy the useless travel insurance they provide, they sell it represented as one thing and really it is another. Beyond travel insurance, when issuing a refund one email they claim 2-3 weeks for a refund the next email is 3-4 weeks. When you question things they repeat the sentence back to you. Pick someplace else to book travel through, the "cheap fares" are bogus anyway. The "taxes" were more expensive then the airfare.
Got an email confirmation. Then email cancellation next day. Wouldn't recommend if you really want to book a ticket.

I am an international person living in New England USA. FareDepot's customer service is the worst CS I have ever worked with in my life, although, I have worked with many international companies and particularly travel agencies. We worked with an Indian guy (no offence, I have many Indian friends. Don't consider me as racist, I am myself an international person). He named himself Edward Salvador. He has a thick Indian accent, he should have been either not employed for a CS position or trained on verbal communication. He basically ruined our trip. We planned to have a reunion with my parents during Christmas time in Thailand, they planned everything for this trip as well. We talked with Edward over the phone (BIG mistake!). Edward Salvador booked our trip for November 2016 instead of December 2016 and send the itinerary with the dates printed with small font and in a way that we though that's part of his signature. Then we found out about his mistake, he wanted to fleece us to pay more to change the date. We ended up to cancel the trip and my parents are now going to Thailand alone.
I hate their customer service and their whole system is corrupt.
Please do not work with them.

They are here to take your money and provide nothing but headache in return. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT use this website. On top of stealing your money and not even your credit card company being able to do anything when you dispute a charge, they will call you and harrass you.
STAY AWAY

We had the same experience yesterday, where they sought more information, and then today they cancelled the booking. Will block them from our credit card.

I had my flight on 24th of August 2016. I cancelled my reservation and I got this emial from FAREDEPOT saying that I will get my refund in 2-3 weeks from that time.
AFTER MANY WEEKS AND WEEKS. The AIRLINE COMPANY (AIR CANADA) has REFUNDED the AMOUNT BEFORE 5 weeks. And Now I got a reply through this TRUSTPILOT that they don't guaranteed the refund. THEY CHARGED ME AN EXTRA FRESH charge of 190$ immediately to process my refund process.
FAREDEPOT IS AN OFFICIAL SCAM. I tried my best to get my right back BUT I COULDN'T. All I want to say here is Please AVOID THEM.
Thanks,
MUSTAFA,

Faredepot by far provided the cheapest so had a doubt about it. But, I checked out and paid the other day. Once I received the confirmation Code, I checked it on the airline website to make sure that it is valid. Everything has passed and thought why I was worrying about this company even though I never used and even people talked about badly. So, I was thinking to use this site again next time. Today, I got an email, saying that it's been ticketed and charged. The charged amount was different from the other day. So, i called and talked to the rep. He said he would refund it. I expected their apology but he didn't. Overall, my main issue was price. So I got what I needed it and it's been validated and also will get an refund. So, people be careful when your account's charged. It was "mistakenly" charged 846 instead of 841 by big fat thumb.
Thank you, Eric L. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to helping you again the next time you book with us!
On April 24 2016 i purchase a flight ticket to natal Brazil on line from FAREDepot.COM, on the amount of $587.71, at the day of the flight, august 13 2016 at checking baggage and ticket counter i got a surprised information that my plane ticket was cancel,. Bought a last minute ticket through Fare Depot to go home to see my ill Grandmother for what might be the last time. In an emotional state already, it was the cherry on top to find out Fare Depot had scammed me for my money and never actually sent the money they took from my account to American Airlines. I spoke with someone who tried to tell me that my credit card company wasn't allowing charges to go through on my account. I replied telling him that's funny because I never used a credit card to make the purchase. I missed my flight and had to buy a new one on the spot for a later time in the day. Since I had a huge gap in the day and had already taken a vacation day from work, I immediately went to my bank to report a fraudulent claim. Praying I get my money back. Extreme disappoint. You're better off paying a little bit more directly to the airline than experiencing the kind of day I have had.
