I tried to use an old $25 gift card on line & got no where so I called their helpline. What a farce & waste of time that was. Basically the card doesnt have a pin # so therefore it is not valid even though the fine print at the bottom of my card states there is no expiration date. So Fandango has my $25 & about 45 minutes of my time which I cant get either back! Avoid Fandango at all cost!

Ripped me off!

I bought 7 movie tickets, went to the theater with 7 people and the theater had no tickets for us.
Fandango charged me for the tickets and wont refund me. Dont use Fandango!

Do not buy tickets from Fandango. If you goggle fandango in your city you are most likely to get a theater in another city. And they pull you money from you account. When you call them your put in phone jail. They will ask you for a call back number, but they will never call you Ref # 1061. They wont fix there problem

Their mobile platform is absolutely horrible. We received multiple error messages in the shopping cart. Customer service is reasonably friendly, but from reading the other complaints, it appears that upper management prefers to not fix things, and doesn't believe in the one call solution.

My husband tried to buy Star Wars movie tickets for 13 people via Fandango during Christmas time a week in advance. The transaction "completed" (he was charged for the tickets) but he never actually received the tickets. Unfortunately, the seats were "reserved" (even though we never received the tickets for them) and we were unable to see the movie with his family during Christmas (the theater wouldn't let us in to see the movie without the tickets, not enough other seats were available, and we couldn't pay for the tickets regularly because they were "reserved"... by us... even though we had no tickets). Fandango ruined our family outing to see Star Wars.

Unfortunately, my husband used a gift card to pay for the tickets. He contacted Fandango customer support (waited 3 hours on the phone and online) and was told that his gift card would be credited. It never was. He has called them back 3 more times (each time with a 3+ hour wait), and he hasn't been able to speak with a customer support agent since (the call disconnects). He will be filing a BBB complaint. Stay FAR, FAR away from Fandango!

I attempted to purchase tickets to a movie that I thought was 10 minutes from my house, but I guess that theater doesn't work with Fandago, so Fandango generously switched my tickets to a movie theater almost an hour away that does work with them. To make matters worse Fandango will not refund my money, because the brain surgeon at customer service told me to do an exchange, and Fandango doesn't give refunds for exchanges! So I have to drive almost an hour to see this movie! The hold time for customer service was 20 minutes. Do not use these people!

Is a Rip off!

First at all they make you buy the seat at front to make you use their service. What is this an airline? Why this company obligate you to buy seats at front? What will be next best seats will cost you more?. Most like it no many people were using their service so they came out with this idea of selling seats at front. I also cancel my tickets for personal reasons and this Croaks still charged me their"Convenience fees"Best way to make this Croaks go out of business is "Do not use their business" Take the time and go a day before or early to the box and buy them directly.

I tried to cancel tickets two hours before showtime which is within Fandangos time limit to cancel. I was on the phone holdindbfor ONE HOUR. Then Ibtried chat sor ONE HOUR. The movitime came and went and I could not cancel at no fault of mine. Coustomer Service is NONEXISTENT. DO NOT USE THIS SITE. ALL THE REVIEWS ARE TERRIBLE. THEY SHOULD BENOUT OF BUSINESS.

Fandango is terrible

Purchasing tickets always fails on the first try. On a good day it'll work on the second or third attempt. I love Cinebistro, but they use Fandango for buying tickets and so I won't go there anymore. Luckily I live in an area with lots of choices so I'll go to Cinepolis instead (they don't use Fandango).

I bought tickets for the Black Panther recently and I was offered a "free poster" with $6.95 shipping charges. Not exactly free but my grandson wanted it. I tried multiple times to order it and multiple times I received the same error message. I changed my password and got the error message again. I sent multiple emails and got the same message each time which did not answer my question. I finally talked to a representative at Fandango. After a very long hold she started going through the steps I had done on my own. Again the error message again resetting the password again the error message. Her solution was to try a different device which I had already done before talking to her. I asked if she couldn't just take the information and send the poster and she said no. I am done with Fandango. It's far less stressful and less expensive to buy tickets at the theater. Fandango SUCKS!

I purchased tickets under my account- the movie did not show in my history before movie time so I could not process a refund and Fandango refuses to refund the purchase though the tickets weren't used! Buy through the actual cinema- they are honest and want your business- don't be fooled by the "refund" policy!

I made a mistake and ordered two tickets with the wrong day. Went on line to change the day before the movie started. I had to wait almost one hour on hold with their chat service and basically was told:

Did you know as a Fandango VIP member, you have the ability to process a refund or change online and if you ask for a refund after the start of the movie and those restrictions are also in my system unfortunately.

Can not believe that I was on hold for one hour where my hold time changed multiple times as far as where I was in the Queue and I had the privilege of talking with a robot named Allan, and my name is Alan.

Thanks for nothing... you have my 28 dollars but will never get another dime.

HORRIBLE

Fandango is the absolute worst. I purchased tickets through their website, and called prior to my movie showing, hoping to get a refund. I did not hear back from a representative until 5hours later. They were extremely unapologetic. Although it was their negligence that was the reason I was unable to receive a refund. Their customer support reps werent the best, with the exception of 1 out of 5 I spoke with. They have no concept of time- I was on hold for well over 45mins each time I called. Just dont use fandango unless youd like to be ripped off.

Purchased tickets, wasnt able to go requested a refund numerous times before the show start time and kept getting an error message. Chatting with a rep was impossible as well and when I finally spoke to a rep via phone they denied my refund stating it was after the show start time now. I requested to speak to someone else and was told my issue would be escalated and I would hear back with resolution which I never heard back from anyone. Complete rip off!

I bought tickets on fandango.com, ended up needing to change the movie time and went to request a refund on the website, it kept telling me there was an error and I cant refund my tickets. I called fandango and got put on hold for over 3 hours, requested a call back 3 different times and was number 77 to chat with an online agent that took hours. They ended up calling me at midnight. Unbelievable. I will never use fandango again, and you bet I will spread the word to everyone I know. Fandango figure your crap out. Total scam

ZERO customer service

We bought tickets with a Fandango gift card my husband received. When we arrived at the theater, there werent 3 seats together. We decided to get a refund and come back later. After trying to process a refund online (the page wouldnt load), so I called the number on the website and got a busy signal. When was the last time you heard a busy signal?! So I tried online chat and waited over 35 minutes - twice. Both times I was disconnected when my phone went to sleep. So I called again and - you guessed it - got a busy signal. At that point I gave up. Fandango clearly does not want to provide any service to its customers. The next time we get one of their gift cards we will sell it online. Any $ we get will be batter than trying to deal with them again!

Bought 2 tickets for Friday night Jumanji II at a movie theater that did not show it. Spent 2 days on Chat to get connected! To a customer service (hahaha) agent that would not refund my tickets, "it was after the show".
