I got to the movie theater and was confused as to why the computer system could find my tickets. Turns out, Fandango screw up and got me tickets for a theater in Washington DC. I live in Wisconsin.
Only used Fandango to use up a gift card. Terrible experience. Site would not accept our Regal card, even though I input it w/0's, and without. Use the card all of the time at Regal and it works fine. Tried to find contact info online-they make it hard to find on purpose. Called them, was told it would be about an hour on hold, accepted the "call back" feature which states they will hold your place in line, right! No calls at all. Got on their chat feature, about an hour wait as well. Totally not worth it! 42 in the queue as I type, and another 1/2 hour of waiting.
Went to refund tickets before show time. App errored and put me in to chat queue. Waited 2 hours for someone to tell me no. Even after explaining situation, no attempt to exchange or refund.
I was on hold with fandango customer service for over an hour on multiple occasions. I never plan on using them again. They officially suck
Accidentally sent my tickets to the wrong email so I never got my confirmation code & when I tried calling to get my code they had my on hold for 2 hours and I ended up almost missing the movie horrible site never using again

App glitched ordered tickets in Virginia... I live in Missouri I attempted refunding within refund period but they literally had me on hold for over an hour... reporting to Better Business Bureau ratings as well. Next time I'll just use the actual theaters website to reserve my seats. Regret using them immensely
Bought tickets they messed up my location went to the movies found out that it was the wrong theatre. Asked for a refund now I have to go through a whole big process to recieve my 13$ for a movie I didn't get to see. I will NEVER support Fandango again and I will tell my friends and family not to support either.
I made the mistake of clicking on credit instead of refund back to my credit card and after being on hold for 45 minutes (yes 45 MINUTES) I was told that they were unable to reverse the transaction. So if you don't want to purchase through Fandago they are still going to make you purchase or have a credit - which is the same thing as making someone purchase something they don't want to. Be careful there aren't many companies that have their customers best interest at heart and apparently Fandago is one of those companies! Melanie, the Supervisor I talked to kept telling me they are unable to reverse the transaction. However they are unwilling because of the cost.
I requested an exchange because I selected the wrong time. It said 3-5 business days. The show I wanted was selling out quickly so I didn't have time to wait those days. Turns out they processed it while I was buying the new tickets. I requested to just have it refunded instead. I WAITED OVER AN HOUR TO TALK TO SOMEONE. Jaymie was extremely unhelpful and only told me "it was final". Didn't offer any additional help or have an explanation for the 3-5 business days. Just kept repeating that it was final. WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN.
This company does not care about customer service in the slightest! Do yourself and favor and do not buy from them at all. This person that was talking to me was rude, not personable and clearly did NOT care about my issue at all. She told me if i wanted to speak with a manager to call and then disconnected our chat window.
I don't think I have ever had this bad of customer service. These women sound like they hate their jobs and seemed to have taken it out on my situation. They take no consideration of technology and having an unstable system for transactions. Their refund policy is absurd. Helpful tip: sound more understanding to customers that are in need of assistance and at least act like your going to do anything you can to help instead of making it obvious that you don't you care.
Operator decides to tell me who waits a week to dispute a charge. A person who works and have a busy life. You saw I purchased tickets for the same movie at two different locations... the first location lost power... so immediately bought tickets to the nearest theater. You can't do the refund on the app once the movie time has surpassed... they suck and suck your money. They continue to treat customers this way they will go out of business.
Purchased tickets online and received a message that said "tickets no longer available" but they still charged me! Getting in touch with someone at Fandango is impossible, I had to call my bank to dispute charges! Horrible company.
I ordered tickets to Avengers Endgame and input a gift card. Due to latency and site issues Fandango was having, the transaction failed. The messaging on the site indicated that my card was not processed. I was able to order tickets later in the day, but when I went to use my gift card the funds from the failed transaction were still missing so I used the available balance left and paid out-of-pocket for the remainder.
I have chatted with agents 3 times at Fandango. I was told initially the funds would be available the next day. They were not... I reached out again and was told it takes 3-5 days for the voided transaction to be posted. After a week, balance is still incorrectly showing $0.
I've essentially paid $46.60 for 2 matinee movie tickets and all I want is for the money from the failed transaction to post and they have refused to offer any sort of reconciliation. I have been told by all 3 agents they can see the failed transaction so why am I being forced to waste my time trying to get my gift card reloaded?
I reserved a seat for a movie, but when I went to pay I got an error message and it kicked me back to the main screen. When I went to reserve the same seat, the seat was listed as taken so I assumed that meant that someone else bought the seat in that short amount of time. I purchased a different seat instead, although it was unideal and really out of the way. After a couple of minutes and refreshing the page, it showed the original seat I wanted as available. It turns out the system thought I still had the seat open in a different browser and listed it as taken. I contacted Fandango through their live chat and they happily told me they wouldn't exchange the seats unless I bought a VIP account. So they want me to pay more money to fix a mistake caused my their system? First and last time using Fandango.
I purchased tickets for a movie on the following day, but when I got to the theater my tickets were for the previous day. I know I purchased the right date because I remember it clearly. Secondly, the customer behind me seeing the exact same movie was told the same thing. That they purchased tickets for the day before.?. Sounds like much more than a coincidence. I called fandango and they refused to even provide a credit. Buy your tickets directly from the theater! Fandango will keep your $$ even when it's their mistake! I'll never use fandango again! Please do not by tickets through Fandango go through Movietickets.com. I called their 866 number and was on hold on the line for more than 30 min. I wanted to buy tickets for "The Best of Enemies" and I don't know how the heck the system took me to "Dumbo" when I originally clicked on "The Best of Enemies." I tried to stop the processes when I realized it, but I was charged. I tried do an exchange, but after trying 3 times to reset my password, I decided to buy the tickets I actually wanted before the movie sold out. Fandango refused to give me a full refund. They charged a $3.50 service fee its in their ticket refund policy which is only visible if you go down to the button of their website. I will never purchase through Fandango ever again!

Their app switches dates and times on you when you think you are getting the movie you want to see. They deny every claim and keep your money. Refuse to even exchange for another showing. Worst company I have ever dealt with.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
