Fabletics is an innovative, high-quality athletic wear & accessories line co-founded by Kate Hudson that looks great & fits your budget.

Fabletics enjoys a generally positive reputation for its high-quality activewear, particularly among plus-size customers, with many expressing satisfaction with the product's fit and style. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to the return process and subscription management, which many find frustrating and convoluted. Issues such as delayed refunds, poor inventory management, and inadequate support from customer service representatives contribute to a negative shopping experience for some. Overall, while the product quality garners praise, the customer service approach and operational challenges indicate areas needing improvement for enhanced customer satisfaction.

Ordered a scarf from Fabletics - as a new VIP member I received a discount so I only had to pay $18. Awesome! Got my scarf and it's decent quality. A little smaller than I was expecting but still comfy and cute. Looked at my online banking today about a month later to find that $49.95 USD was taken out of my account, except I live in Canada so it actually took out $71.50 CAD. I was shocked and confused and typed into Google "Why Fabletics Charged Me" and I was taken to this site of reviews. Turns out when you sign up for the VIP Membership, the company will take $49.95 out of your account every month to go toward store credit at Fabletics. You have the choice to skip a month of payments, but you must do so before the 5th otherwise they charge you. And all of this information is at the very bottom of your e-mail order confirmation which no one reads. It was very misleading. I called and a computer animated voice talks to you. This is what I did to receive my refund:
Computer: How may I help you?
Me: I would like a refund and I would like to cancel my membership.
Computer: Why?
Me: You took money out of my account when I didn't want you to.
This immediately took me to a real life representative, I explained to her very nicely and calmly what happened. I could tell she didn't really know how to respond and was reading from a script. I ensured to remain very sweet but also stern and she seemed to want to help me (yelling and screaming at representatives will not get you anywhere). She offered to talk to a manager for me and put me on hold for about 2 minutes. When she came back she agreed to give me a refund, and gave me a little speech about still keeping my membership now that I know how it all works. I politely declined, and she agreed to cancel it for me. I should be receiving an email soon regarding my refund and I will update this review once I have further details.
I read a lot of reviews that were quite harsh, but my experience was not a horrible one. Just average. The entire phone conversation was 9 minutes. That is not a bad experience considering I didn't have to wait on the phone for an hour on hold, or argue over and over again with a representative. But of course, I still don't appreciate having funds taken from my account when I never explicitly authorized it.
**UPDATE** - within two days they have refunded me $66.80 CAD which is about $5 short of what they took from my account, but I don't really care. I got the majority of the money back with little to no hassle.
Fabletics is shameful. Burying a $50 recurring monthly charge somewhere in small print? Wow. So much for quality and ethics.
Scam.
Here's how you get you're money back... maybe; I'll know in 5-7 business days if this worked.
Fabletics automatically signs you up to take $49.95 from your credit card monthly.
When you call in to ask "What? Why?", the automated call service gets stuck in a loop. It won't connect you with a human to answer weather or not, by removing this "credit" of $49.95 from you account, you are being refunded the $49.95, or loosing it entirely. (For me, I didn't realize until they'd charged me $199.80, four months of charges. That's HUGE.
Avoid the automated teller by saying only, "speak to a representative" "speak to a representative" "speak to a representative". The robot will connect you to a representative. She was near impossible to understand, but eventually, I got the message through that I didn't want a credit... I want a refund. She said the full $199.88 will be refunded this week.
We'll see.
I'll follow up to this review.
Not many people look at every item on their credit card bill every month. That i swhat Fabletics is banking on by sneaking in the monthly membership fees. This scam is as bad as it gets. Shame on Hudson for promoting this.
Diabolic company that when you ask for it to be cancelled they don't cancel it then you end up not skipping the month because you thought it as cancelled but then get a debit of £44 of which you cant get back so you end up getting another outfit which you did not wont. Phoned this company and sent emails to sort this out but still not being listen to feel quite trapped do not get trapped in this scheme. If you are away on holiday or simply forget or in hospital and not skip the month say goodbye to a further £44 of your money.
Your VIP Membership is the biggest scam ever. Unfortunately for me I did not read your website more carefully so I was enrolled in this ridiculous VIP Membership. You are lured into this scam with a "special offer". $29.95 for yoga pants and a sweatshirt. What a joke! Membership credit? Skip a month? Something about the 1st and the 5th of the month? It's so convoluted it would be laughable but it's not. I'm out of $49.95 and paid $29.95 for an outfit, which quite frankly I don't even like. The only resolution for me would be a refund of $49.95. In the meantime I will continue to give fabletics terrible reviews everywhere possible. No need to respond to this review nothing you could say would make me change my opinion or experience.
First off, the clothes are very low quality. Second, you become a VIP member just by buying some leggings, which are low--very low quality. Then you are hooked in. They start taking $49.95 from your credit card account each month, unless you remember to go into your Outfits and click on skip this month, because now they have your credit card on record. The big rewards of being a big VIP member. Third, you can't just cancel your membership. You have to call them, talk to a robot first before insisting on talking to a real live person, and finally insist on canceling your membership. Lastly, if you ask for a refund on the $49.95, which was mistakenly taken out of my account for no reason. Good Luck, because I'm still waiting for my refund and am getting tired of calling their snobby customer service people.
I saw these products in a commercial starring Kate Hudson many months ago. I forgot about them until I saw them on a morning talk show this morning. I've been wearing just anything to the gym (usually black leggings and tank top over sports bra) and I really, really loved what I was seeing, now that it wasn't on skinny, skinny Kate Hudson. So I logged on to the web site and started reading reviews. OMG I've never ever read this many hateful horrific reviews. And the monthly fee kind of puts me off. I only go the gym 3x's a week - I don't need a new outfit every month. I'm staying away!
Beyond their over-priced, mediocre product, I had the worst customer service with them I think I have ever had.
I was charged for two months I KNEW I had skipped. They clearly source their customer service out to another country and those folks read from a script which frequently does not even apply to what you are saying. They make it exceptionally difficult to cancel and because of the language difference, I am not really sure if they understood I wanted to cancel. It is SUCH a scam. They charged me when they should not have and now are not even treating that charge like a true store credit but instead like some sort of coupon. I tried to order a couple of the sale items with the so-called "membership credit" but you can't use that on sale items. I am now going to have to pay another $10 to get an outfit I will actually wear, get something I won't for the amount of the credit, or lose the money they charged me.
TOTAL SCAM! DO NOT JOIN! I cannot believe Kate Hudson put her face on this...
If you believe in your company and product why do you need to "sneakily" wait until the bottom of the last page to put in the monthly membership fee. Sure you can opt out between certain days. But, you know the company is counting on you forgetting. Sell the clothes at a fair price and you would have better reviews and more customers! This gives Kate Hudson, an already wealthy individual, a bad reputation!
First, the automatically sign you up for their "VIP" program that will automatically charge your credit card every month unless you call them between the 1st and 5th of the month. All such "automatic" cram downs of products should be outlawed by the government as unscrupulous business practices. Lot of companies do this, but Fabletics is the sneakiest of I have seen. I managed to read their small print at the bottom of the order and stopped this VIP scam immediately.
Second, if you have to return something at the very least they will charge you a "restocking" fee if you do not want an exchange or a store credit. I paid this restocking fee even though they showed the item being returned as "out of stock" and therefore could not be exchanged and I wanted nothing more to do with this company so I certainly did not want a store credit.
Lastly, you really can't do anything except buy stuff online. Anything, like stopping their VIP scam of getting something returned requires a phone call and service by a staff that is marginal from a capability standpoint.
Bottom line, there are a lot of better places to buy athletic wear and Kate Hudson should be ashamed of having her name associated with such an enterprise.
They charge you to shop there!?!?! Like what in the world is that?!?! That's so ridiculous I don't even know how to react... They practically said "hay we'll give you this outfit for 25 bucks charge 50 bucks next mont" like seriously? For black leggings and a oversized top? I can get that at forever 21 for 20 bucks... And they don't charge me to walk in to shop... Apparently these people do
I just want to start by saying I would give this a zero if that was an option. Also excuse my language. I ordered only one item. But little was I informed it signed me up for a "VIP membership" which is total bull$#*!. This so called memebership is the biggest scam I have ever seen. I got an unexpected charge on my account for FIFTY $#*!ING DOLLARS and what do I get? NOTHING! In order to cancel this membership you have to CALL which is the most inconvenient thing. You can't delete your account, remove a card or any information set up on your account. And when I called to cancel this stupid $#*!ing membership scam, the foreign chick on the end of the line, that barely spoke any English, said that they "sent an email that gave you the option to skip the charge for the month" AND GUESS WHAT EMAIL WAS NEVER SENT TO ME! I know I never saw one and I double checked AND IT NEVER CAME! So now I'm out $50. NEVER used this website.
I ordered 1 item and apparently signed up for the VIP membership too- like many others £44 was taken from my account. I was shaking with anger on the phone insisting on a full refund and to have my details removed. The phone call was aborted 3 times by the staff on the other end! Thus making me more upset and angry. They refused to give me a refund, eventually after a lot of shouting on my end I asked to speak to a manager, I was kept waiting and waiting then they finally agreed to refund my money and cancel my account. They know full well what they are doing to people, deliberately misleading customers! It is an absolute disgrace, I will certainly never buy from Fabletics again. What a shame, I used to like Kate Hudson.
I'm posting this just hoping to bring a little joy to those who have been scammed by Fabletics. After I made my first order I searched the company online and found out about this scam before I was hit with the $50 monthly fee. I put an alarm on my phone to remind me to skip every month. That was in July. In early September my credit card was stolen and thus, the card that they had on file was now void. I didn't bother phoning right away but remembered to keep skipping each month. A few days ago I finally got around to calling to cancel my "membership". I explained about my credit card situation and they said "oh, no problem, just give us your new card number." I decided that I would be as honest with them about my credit card situation as they were with me about their VIP program and I told them that I didn't have the credit card anymore... technically true, because I had a new one. Now this is the kicker, the customer service rep on the phone told me "it's ok, we don't have to cancel your account". I responded by saying "don't you have to have a credit card on file to be a VIP member?" She slowly responded "yeess". Then I said "well I would assume that you wouldn't want to keep a stolen credit card on file and have Fabletics knowingly use a stolen credit card? Because that is what would happen if for some reason you accidentally charged my card. I think that is illegal." Oh how I wish I could have seen her face because her stammering told me it must have been priceless! She promptly cancelled my account and I received a confirmation cancellation email. Even if they try to charge me again, good luck trying to charge a cancelled credit card! I hope this story of the customer finally getting the best to this shameful company made someone smile.
This company is a scam as they offer what appears to be a half price introduction offer when buying their products, only to continue to charge £44/month without your knowledge. I take full responsibility for not reading terms and conditions properly (which was of course highlighted when speaking to fabletics) but also think if the company really WANTED to inform their constumers of this charge they wouldnt have hidden this charge in the small prints. Definately a scam!
Would not recommend this to anyone I got billed for skipping the month and was not refunded for there mistakes. The woman on the other end of the phone was foreign and hard to understand and was not bothered one bit.
First, I really like the clothes and compared to others they are on the lower end and are good quality. I am disappointed in the membership program. First, I was billed even though I skipped a month. If you do not do this you get billed. I called to have this taken care of and the IVR is very hard to get past to get a person which frustrated me. I was hung up on when I got a rep that I believe is in India, Phillipines, etc. Called back in to cancel and they wouldn't take no for an answer. It was upsetting and frustrating as the caller on the other end is unable to be helpful due to language barrier. I would have kept the service if I knew I would get better service. Come on Kate --keep your phone lines in the U.S.! Your line is really great and makes me feel GOOD when I go to the gym!
Bought outfit at retail. Ripped within 1 month. Disappointed.
Where do I begin...
I must say that I absolutely love fabletics apparel. The clothes fit me super well and I have always been extremely satisfied with my purchases. I have been a VIP member for almost a year now. When I moved homes, for some reason, my new address with apartment number was not recognized as a valid address when trying to place an order online, despite the fact that all other companies (amazon, etc) recognized me just fine. The site does not let you place your order unless your address is "verified" so I was unable to order anything unless I called to place it, an extreme inconvenience. I have now called about this matter 4 times! The first time being promised that it would be fixed, and the rest of the times my issue was "escalated". I was told I would receive an email, a call, some sort of communication that my issue was being worked on. It's been over a month and not a single person has gotten ahold of me. I am appalled at the promises (verbatim "I promise you this will be fixed") I have been made that the issue will be "resolved" and nothing has happened. If anything, I should at least be contacted by someone to explain the issue and why it cannot be resolved. All in all, this failure on behalf of their costumer service has since caused me to inactivate my membership. I will never be purchasing from Fabletics again. And the sad thing is, it's not because of their product, it's because of their people and absolute failure in costumer service.
Answer: I did read the fine print, as stated, which you find out when you are about to place your order. Those few who LOVE Fab would have you believe, that we are dolts and can't figure out this "club" has you by the short hairs once you order 1 outfit... the hook is set. So if you wanna hassle with the $49.95 charge that you may or not remember to decline each month, see the charges on your card, only to find you have "store credit" instead of the charges removed... then by all means, place your order. As far as the 16% "like" rate at the top, THAT in itself should let you know, steer clear. It took me MANY attempts just to stop their emails from coming to me... finally!
Answer: Hi Heidi I really would cancel as soon as possible because if you don't you will be charged whether you buy anything or not. Do it now because if not before 5th, you will be charged. You have to do this every month it's really not worth the hassle, I would buy from the high street at least you know where you stand. Also, I am assuming Myka works for the company! There are very few positive comments about this company I would steer well clear.
Answer: I rang my bank and told them to stop any future payments leaving my account. When I finally got through to fabletics, I had the worst most arrogant a***hole in customer services so I wouldn't bother wasting your breath
Answer: When I cancelled, I made sure that I used up every dime of credit because I was pretty sure that this shady company would take the credit I was owed. Someone should start a class action suit against them. They just do whatever they want...
Answer: The best thing to do is to use your credit and buy something in the amount you were charged and then call to cancel your membership. You can try to get them to reverse the charges but chances are you won't get it back. Don't cancel until you use the money you already paid though!
Answer: All the good reviews on this site most likely come from employees, you could ask them.
Answer: Unfortunately this company is corrupt. You'll have to call relentlessly until they answer. I cancelled over the phone successfully. Leave a post with your negative experience getting a hold of someone to cancel.
Answer: I bombarded them on twitter and Facebook. They got back to me quick!
Answer: No you are not. Cancel it asap and then you won't get charged the monthly subscription charge. Best to call them and cancel it over the phone, and then send an email stating that you called and that they promised to cancel the account just as back up.
Answer: I think you should be okay! Canceling it is easy but I really doubt they'll send you a bill! I used it for a while and had no problems until this one but they were so beyond rude :( unless they have your billing information they can't just charge you!
