Before EBD, I was needing new frames due to the fact my old ones were starting to get old from daily use. I found frames that I fell in love with on EBD's website, including my first pair of prescription sunglasses. I bought Pursuit in Purple and Deja Vu in Purple with a purple tint on the lens, both with prescription lens. They arrived a day or two before their initial delivery date, and I was very happy with both products!
I'm new to wearing glasses, and wanted a spare. I inputted the Rx numbers into the website the best I could. When the glasses came in, they worked for reading, but not for driving which I was expecting. I think what happened is that my eye doctor had two Rx's on file, one for distance, and one for reading. The glasses are nice, but I already have (non-prescription) reading glasses. Not sure if I should spend the time to try to exchange or what? Let me know what you can do for me.

Shopping for the glasses was a great experience - I love their try on and comparison functions. I bought a couple pairs to try in person, and returned a few of them. I bought frames with no prescriptions so that I could easily return, and will get prescriptions put in locally. I wish their returns process was easier - glasses are something I plan to wear very often and therefore it is not unreasonable to want to try them on in person and not just in a picture online. The shipping time was also very long, but that may have been due to the holidays.
While I'm aware that the USPS was overwhelmed this holiday season, it took over a month to receive my glasses. When I contacted EyeBuyDirect for help, they offered none. The customer service was a joke. I know that they could have contacted the USPS for me and done a trace to see where my items were and find out why they were being shipped all over the country.
The frames I had my eyes on came back in stock and thanks to the "Save for later" option and my prescription information already saved, check out was a breeze!

For the prescription I have, which is pretty strong, it would typically cost me from $200-$250 but from Eyebuydirect, I only paid $80! Did I mentioned the styles available?! At my regular place, due to my prescription, I had very limited options of style but from Eyebuydirect the options are endless! 100% recommend!
It was awesome, I messed up my prescription when I first ordered and had to redo all of it, but the customer service team worked with me on the phone to get my replacement order with my prescription. I emailed her the prescription and she rebuilt my order and got it sent out and delivered before I could even return mine. Love everything about the site. I wish you could choose multiple types of lenses though, like transition and polarized.

Difficult to make purchase online. Lenses in glasses seem to be very poor quality. My vision is blurry and distorted, also there is a weird color when looking at device screens.

I had never purchased glasses online before this, the process was ok. Not super easy to enter the prescription. But it was easy to shop for frames, lots of filters to help you narrow down your preferences. I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses and a pair of standard glasses. The sunglasses are great no problem with fit or with the prescription. The clear lenses however are just not right, I can't wear them. I did not realize the satisfaction guarantee was only for two weeks. I can't afford to ship them back hoping they decide to admit something is wrong and file it under the 365 day workmanship guarantee. In the end I got sunglasses I love for about what I'll pay for standard glasses via my doctor's office. But I will be trying other online retailers before deciding if I'll use eyebuydirect again.

Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
Answer: I received two pairs very quickly but was very disappointed when i put them on only to find out the prescription was completely wrong. There are no refund or exchange directions in your website or with the packaging, so I did not know the number to call. Please get in touch with me asap about exchanging the glasses for ones with the correct lenses. Thank you very much.
