Ordered 4 pairs of jeans, but received 3 pairs and a tank top - I did not order a tank top! The shipping receipt clearly stated that 4 pairs of jeans are supposed to be in the package. So I called customer service and the girl lied to me and told me that I will be receiving another package. I called her out on the lie and told her that the shipping receipt says FOUR jeans are in the package... and no tank top. She couldn't really justify herself... Then she put me on hold for about 10 minutes. Then she proceeds to tell me that it was ShopRunners fault because they are the ones packaging the items. LIE LIE LIE! Shoprunner is a shipping service, but the items are still packaged by Express. I hang up the phone.
I called express 3 more times and nobody could resolve my issue. I finally called and asked for a manager, who was finally able to help me. But what a waste of time trying to rectify Express' mistake. Hence, I will never order or shop there again. I understand that mistakes happen, BUT PLEASE DON"T LIE TO ME!

I ordered a dress online this morning, and clicked the "Submit Order" button. It did not process, so I clicked it again. It still did not process. I never got a confirmation number, so I called customer service. They said they did not know what the problem was, so they did it manually for me. They said they would send me an email confirmation right away. It never came, so I called them again to find out why. Apparently, the dress is no longer available. I did not get a message stating that. I just told the lady to cancel the order, and waited for the email. I did get the email stating that it was cancelled. IMO, that was deceptive. I will not purchase anything from them again.

Never Buy Again

I bought two t shirts which is $15 each and when I wash it with two of my old 1MX shirts all the colors from my t shirts got on to my both of the shirts. Now I can not wear those shirts anymore and when I called customer service they did not help me at all. Till now I was buying shirts, polos everything from express but now I decided not to buy anything from express and whoever comes to my contact telling them the same thing.

I place an oder and they got paid the same day. It has been 2 months now and no product. I emailed several times and they promised a full refund if I did not receive it. I continue to try to reach them but no response. When I tried to track my item it was apparently shipped with an insufficient address and it was returned to sender but they will not respond to my request for a refund... just stay away from this vendor!

I requested several gift cards from Express for Christmas this year. I ordered some items that never made it to my home. Unfortunately, when they were returned the money was never placed back on my gift card. I called to resolve and was hung up on the first time finding out that it was the end of that employee's shift. I called a second time and was promised the money would be reinstated on my card but when I went to use it 2 months later, it was not. At this point it's too complicated to fight but let's just say I will never request another gift card from this store. Very disappointing.

I have bought many pairs of paints from Express over years, I'm a thinner guy and they fit well so on so on. I ordered 2 pairs of pants from express on a Monday for a rehearsal dinner on that Friday. Knowing I was a little late on the order I paid the $15 extra for 2 day shipping, a little expensive but reasonable and I just straight up needed the pants. Well they aren't going to be delivered until the Monday after the wedding. Not cool. I contact customer support and they pretty much say, oh our bad here's your $15. What they fail to even acknowledge is that I now have to drive 40 miles to the closest shopping center to me, take a half day off work, and buy an $80+ pair of pants that once Express' shipment arrives late, I will not need at all. So yeah don't give Express your business, not the sort of accountability you would like to see from a chain.

Express sucks

Horrible customer service! Tried to place an order online, trouble with online order and staff I spoke to were useless, finally the ordered was canceled and I tried to reorder only to find that the coupon code was no longer valid. Called back for a new one and no help once again. Avoid this store.

Purchased about $150 worth of items on my Express card 2 years ago. Moved soon after (fwd my mail to my new address). I never received a bill or any notification of money owed. 2 years later, I'm suddenly receiving spam calls, over and over and over, over a two day period - called back and was told I am being sued and taken to court, that my wages will be garnished and that I have to pay $3,000 plus THEIR court/legal fees or a warrant will be issued. They also acquired the cell phone number of my father, who I don't live with and has nothing to do with me and started harassing him.
I regret that I forgot about the bill (that was my mistake), but:
1) $150 debt turning into $3,000+ or Lawsuit is MAJOR overkill
2) The card has been cancelled for awhile now
3) Obtaining the phone number of my relatives is ILLEGAL
4) Lying to me about wage garnishing is also ILLEGAL (and they can't just do that)
5) Not sending me any notifications (or possibly sending it to the wrong address - not even my old one) is poor business
6) Threatening me with lawsuits over a $150 debt when I have had the same phone number (Which they verified that they had on file) this ENTIRE time and never received on single call from them, is utter nonsense.

Sad that a good store like Express has turned so nasty over my mistake of forgetting a small debt to them (one that I was more than willing to pay until they started getting illegal). I'm contacting a lawyer.

So disappointed

I attempted to make a purchase online using a gift card. When I submitted my order, the site said it couldn't process my gift card and suggested I use another form of payment. Several hours later I attempted to place my order again, only to find my gift card now had a balance of 0. After several phone calls, 30 minutes later I was told my gift card had a hold placed on it that will take 48 hours to correct. Its hard for me to shop with a colicky newborn. I wasted all my time. I will never shop here again

Credit Card Fraud

Recently I was informed by my bank that an authorized purchase using my credit card # was made at the Express store located at Brooklyn Fulton street. My bank informed me that the merchant information was most likely compromised at the store.

Terrible customer service

I placed an order from Canada, paid USD exchange rate and other costs for items worth close to $200 (full price). About 24 hours later, everything went on 40% off. I called to get a price match. They confirmed that they have 14 days price match policy, but refused to make "any changes" to my order as it was "already shipped". I asked for refund by way of discount, they refused and said it doesnt apply to previously purchased items. They said I can go to the store, return and get a price match (items that I dont have yet). Then they said why dont you re-order and get discount then return the full priced items. Well that means I repay the international service charge of about $15 USD plus the USD exchange rate, etc.
The lady on phone was ultra rude then came the supervisor about 20 minutes later named Nisha who treated me like I was an illiterate fool. I used to shop there for over 6 years (online and in-store). I shall never do it again. Its about principle and customer service which was highly disappointing.

We misidentified Express as the vendor on a product my daughter didn't like. When Express thought it was their product, THEY COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL, COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL AND PROMPT. Really above and beyond the call. They were willing to do it all: refund shipping, refund the product, via mail or in person -- whatever we wanted. Treated us like ROYALTY. Haven't seen that in ages!

I purchased a pair of leather leggings while on vacation in New York City got back to the hotel and notice the security tag wasn't removed. Didn't have time to take them back to Times Square so took them to the closest Express when I got home which is over an hour away. They claimed their security tag were a different size so they could not remove it. Called customer service to to see if I could send the pants back and get a new pair. They opened a report and said someone would call me in 3-5 days. 2 weeks and nothing.

No stars. Nightmare

Do yourself a favor stay away from express online order. I will never buy nothing on express, they charged my credit card and them canceled my order. They didn't even send me an email I had to find out myself after 16 days. I lost my money and they couldn't help me until now. They costumer service are professional liars. Please find another store to shop online, not this one they will drive you crazy.

Worst Customer Service

I purchased four sweaters from Express.com on December 05/2017, when I received the items two of them was big so I went to the Express store located on 3101 Steinway Street Astoria, New York ******* to return them but the cashier refused and told me that I will have to mail it back, so I emailed Express on 1/3/2017 and I was told that I will receive a return label receipt within 7 business days but never received anything so I emailed them again on 1/12/2017 and it was no response back from them, so I called customer service and I was told that a label will be emailed to me within 24 hours again but again never received anything, so I emailed Express again on 1/15/2017 and asked them for the fourth time to email me a return label receipt and their response was to wait another 5 business days.
I believe that Express is ignoring my request until the 90 days return policy runs out.

Trendy and Affordable.

I haven't been a fan of Express until a little more than a year ago. I have made over a dozen of orders since then and they only botched my order once and it was in late December. I don't know what was going on but there seems to be a lot of complaints posted during that time frame. I've made two more orders since then and I received everything as I ordered. I buy all items with a either a coupon code or at a sale price. The coupons or sale seem to be an ongoing thing. With the price I pay, I really can't complain about the quality. It is still better than some cheaper brands. I usually get loads do compliments on the way I dress, and once people start shopping at Express they seem to get hooked. I suggest trying on a few items before you complain about the brand. Many of their clothes look better on and flatter your figure. I LOVE, LOVE Express for the way their clothes make me look. Please don't shut them down with your vicious reviews! Also the whole point with the sheer and plunge shirts is to LAYER! It makes one look hip and adds interest to your style.
