My vacation to Cartagena Columbia was a complete success. From the flights, transports, and tours, everything went well. My only complaint is our accommodation. The hotel, staff, service and food were fine. But our room was horrible. Although it was quite dated I could look past that. It was the cleanliness of the room that made me uncomfortable to touch anything. The remote control had something sticky on it and it was very dirty. I had to wrap it in tissue to use it. The headboard had smudges on it, the lamp fixture had so much dust collected on it. The chair was very dusty and dirty. We asked for another room but the front desk never got back with us with a cost to change rooms. We were just told that our package included a standard room. Standard yes, dirty no. Room service seemed to just mop the floor and make the bed. We left our bags in the garage when we returned home not wanting to bring the luggage in until we sterilized everything. I had to just pretend I was camping in that dirty room. It's unfortunate because every other part of the stay was pleasant. Just not that horrible room. Yuk. The blinds had brown spots on it…. Just disgusting. I actually couldn't believe the hotel didn't have more complaints about the condition of the room. Unless they reserve the dirtiest rooms for Exoticca travelers. I know I will not chose this category of accommodations again if I use Exoticca again. Anyway, despite that Petri dish of a room, we still had a great vacation.

I received an email about a trip to Egypt with Exoticca and it immediately caught my attention. Included flights as well, count me in. I decided to go on the trip with my best friend to celebrate her birthday. They did everything in their power to make her feel special which made the trip all more worthwhile. The flights were great, transportation between everything was good - absolutely loved the fact that the buses had coolers with coke and water on it. I would add snacks to the bus next time. We were running on low sleep and low food a majority of the time but surprisingly we survived. While some complained we didn't have a hour by hour itinerary, I actually enjoyed it more because the tour guides could base it off of how we were feeling on if we would do something and how long we would do it. I loved that they never once left anybody behind or made it feel like they would leave someone behind. All of our tour guides were super friendly and helpful and great. I couldn't appreciate them more! I do wish we had a little more time at the Egyptian Market because I felt like that place had the best deals that weren't complete tourist traps. I do still think that everything over there is still cheap considering the normal U.S. prices. Everyone over there was VERY friendly and accommodating. I never once felt in danger. I absolutely would take another trip with Exoticca.

I just got back from the 12 day Treasures of Anatolia vacation. It was a great trip. The tour guide (Ercan Nazli) was particularly excellent as he kept the group on schedule and arranged for several add-ons for guests at no additional cost. We did all the optional excursions with the trip highlight being the balloon ride in Cappadocia — though all locations we visited were interesting and exceptional. I do recommend upgrading the Istanbul hotel to one that is in the city center. We did not and were about a 45 minute bus ride from the tourist sites. Our hotel (La Quinta) was a nice hotel with good rooms, excellent breakfast, multiple amenities, etc. However, it's location contributed to us signing up for the optional Istanbul tours (though our excellent tour guide makes me glad we did the optional tours). All hotels were very nice with really good breakfasts (and dinners for the hotels in cities other than Istanbul). Every lunch was optional and cost approx. $15 per person plus drinks (even water was separate). The trip covered almost 2,000 miles between cities. The bus driver (Ramadan) and the bus were both excellent. I do recommend using the optional eSIM so you can stay connected while traveling. Overall, this was a great trip from start to finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed exploring India with our guide Natwar. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The accomodations were incredible Desert Palace was amazing Food choices plentiful.
All the people we encountered were wonderful. We saw the Taj Mahal and met people from NJ where we live. I particularly enjoyed the several temples we explored. I find it incredible that several different religions are represented in a temple. I was impressed by how accepting the culture is of different religions. Namaste
