U bolts nuts bottomed out on threads before rack could be fully tightened on Subaru Forester OEM aero bars (11/16" thick). Made it work using 3 washers under each finger nut. Also had to cut U bolts to prevent them from ever damaging luggage. Once I determined the correct location for mounting the brackets, I drilled a hole in the plastic pad to allow the pad, bracket and rack to be zip tied together so all I meed to do is set the rack on the car and install the U bolt and tighten the finger nut. The zip ties should also prevent all the parts from getting lost during storage.
Looking for replacement EZ lube caps for my boat trailer hubs, E trailer had them in Stainless Steel. WOW.
