I always enjoy researching on trailer. I found these as slightly used and I couldn't find any defects or scratches on them. I needed one for replacement, won't tell you how it broke, but most of you will figure it out - LOL.
Ordered the part for the weight distribution hitch, and it was delivered to my son's home quicker than expected.
I was looking for a spring for my trailer that I found at the last minute was broken before a cross-country trip. Their website was easy to follow, price was reasonable. And delivery was fast. Got me on the road and very happy.
I ordered a 5th wheel hitch that arrived in 2 boxes (bottom of the hitch in one, head plate in the other). When it arrived, it was obvious that the bottom box had been opened and then taped shut. Further examination revealed that it had been used and sent back, with parts strewn about the box and one part (cotter pin) missing. I spoke with an etrailer rep on the phone, who initially claimed the box had been opened during shipping ("We don't sell used equipment"). After seeing the pictures I sent, the rep agreed that it had been used, and gave me the option of returning it or receiving a discount (money back) plus the missing cotter pin. I chose the discount, and we agreed on an amount. 3/4 of the agreed amount was returned to me, with the remaining discount returned after I contacted the rep again. The cotter pin arrived, but was the wrong size. I was satisfied that eTrailer handled my issue in a personal manner and eventually got things worked out to a reasonable end, but was disappointed in their attempt to sneak a used hitch by me.
I got the order then realized that I ordered the wrong style. Call Mike B for help but I just got a automated form letter about returning item but did not get the question answered that I needed so I called and left a message but he never did call back.
Had it shipped to the Beach and that went well. I was scared when only one box showed up and I ordered two things (hitch and wiring), but when I opened the hitch box, saw the wiring product stowed inside there. Hitch install went OK, but etrailer video said nothing about removing the back bumper for a low profile hitch, but the other video I watched went into detail on that fortunately (but added a lot of time to the install). Wiring video was better, but hard to follow their wiring path for the power wire when you don't have a hydraulic lift. Also, I was a foot short on the power wire, which sucked. A little extra wire would have been appreciated.
I received the hitch in a few days with no problems with the packaging. The install went fine and had no problems in a little over an hour. I did drive the rear wheels up on my ramps to add more working room. It looks great.
We greatly appreciate the level of customer service with Etrailer. Will continue to use them for future purchases because of this.
