It been going on for a couple years now and nothing has been resolved with the shipping damage. Everything that's heavy gets damaged either the box gets destroyed and taped up by UPS OR the box and parts gets damaged.
I was all set to give a good review about these leaf spring helpers, but ran into a problem. I have installed these types of
Springs on many vehicles over the years & knew this should have been an easy install. Problem was the U-bolts on both
Ends of the springs were not threaded far enough. When you put the nuts on & tighten, you run out of threads so that
You are unable to bring the leaf cup to 1/4 inch of factory spring. This was on both ends of each leaf spring.
I had to get a die & make the threads on the U-bolts almost 2 inches further to get the proper distance.
When I first put the one side on & tightened the nuts all the way, the U-bolts were even loose. I would have been afraid to
Drive with these so loose. The U-bolts on the middle of leaf that go over the axle were a good fit. I'm not going to leave you
A neg review because the shipping was fast. I put about 10 hours of work on this job that should have taken about
1 1/2 hours.
I'm not sure what was wrong, either the U-bolts were the wrong ones or they were not threaded far enough.
