After writing my previous review, eShakti's customer representative sent me a message here requesting my order # to see if something could be done about the situation. I gave my order #, and received a reply to my original emailed order confirmation, with eShakti requesting photos of me wearing the dress, from 2 views. Upon taking these photos, I discovered an issue I hadn't seen yet - the hem is uneven, much longer on the right than the left. While people may not notice this flaw when the dress is worn, as a seamstress I expect a custom-made dress to have an even hem.

After sending my photos, eShakti has requested I re-verify my height and I have done so. I even double checked on my end, and verified that yes, I submitted it correctly on the original order.

I will update again with how eShakti handles this. I was not looking for a return, exchange, nor remake. As I mentioned in my original review post, I needed to wear the dress with embellishments added to a wedding on October 28th - the dress has now been altered and worn, as there was not enough time between me receiving the dress and the date of the event to attempt a return, exchange, or remake (due to when I ordered, not due to any shipping delay). My review was to make potential buyers aware of issues that may arise in using this company. EShakti chose to reach out to me, and I am curious to see how they choose to proceed.

EDIT: I had initially posted a review giving this company 2 stars for sending me a dress that was made with the wrong print. Since then, the customer service personnel, Maya, contacted me to rectify the situation. Within a week of the correspondence a brand new dress arrived at my door step: it was the exact dress I had ordered. It was perfect, exactly what I had wanted in the first place. I didn't have to send the original dress back which saved me time.

I had stated in my original review that the construction was generally good. It was excellent in this dress. The bust was cut better this time, and the lining was really well constructed and clean. I love the pockets.

So, faith restored. I will personally order from their site again with peace of mine! Hopefully this good service and craftsmanship keeps up.

Ordered a dress that was 35% off and had it customised to my dimensions. I wouldn't have ordered anything but I really liked the foliage print and was rather excited by it. While it arrive in a timely fashion I was disappointed when I opened it up to see that it was not the print I had ordered. Instead of the beautiful foliage print on white fabric I has a splotchy light green thing that looked like bad water colour camouflage. If this pattern had been advertised instead of the Green foliage I would never in a million years have put in an order. Also for over AUD$90 it doesn't seem worth it.

On the plus side the fit was absolutely spot on. The bust looks a bit strange but that doesn't annoy me nearly as much as wrong print does. Overall it is still probably the best dress I own as it actually fits me really well and the cotton, although cheap, is light and can be worn on really hot brisbane days. I like the pockets and it was generally well constructed.

After having read these reviews I don't think I will return for a refund because I don't think I will get my money back or get the dress I want in time before my trip. This saddens me greatly as I really wanted to like eshakti. I reckon if it has arrived in the print I originally ordered and paid for I would have given it 5 stars. Frankly I just feel ripped off and disappointed.

I have NEVER been able to wear clothing that had a fitted appearance since my proportions are apparently not standard; waistlines always ended up around my ribcage, shoulder seems never reached my shoulders - een when I purchased large sizes. As a result, I have a wardrobe of loose fitting, items that could easily double as maternity wear. Then I found eShataki. I suddenly can wear belted, fabulous dresses, that fit me perfectly and give me a shape! Life may not be all about clothes, but having clothes that fit for the first time feels life changing!

Curvy ladies, whose bust and hips are much bigger than waist and shoulders, often can't get anything remotely fitting in regular stores: I need a regular size 16(UK) to fit my curves and size 12 to fit the rest of my body, so the clothes from conventional stores ends up looking either baggy or slutty. Eshakti makes it to measurements, so finally I have dresses that actually fit! For now, I have 5 dresses from them, the sixth one is on the go and I'm considering ordering the seventh one! That's just sooo awesome to have something that looks properly!

After many, many attempts to communicate with eShakti and getting bizarre nonsensical responses back, they finally at least tried to fix the situation. They still pull funny moves like not refunding tax (I understand that brokerage fees are non-refundable but I'm pretty sure collecting tax and not refunding it is illegal). And cancelling any special offers on your original order (even though the dress I kept would have still qualified me for the $25 off)... as a result you will not be able to repurchase returned items without sending them more money. This weird nickel-and-diming shows that they'll try to refund as little as possible and you'll have to fight for every little bit owed--that's the kind of company they are. I will NOT shop here again. If you do, consider anything purchased final sale. It will waste enormous amounts of your time to try and get any kind of refund and even then it will be partial. They offered me a 50 dollar credit for the hassle and I used that along with the partial return credit to repurchase the 2 returned dresses in the right sizes (hopefully) so really not much of a bonus at all. Anywhere else you could get what you returned in another size without needing to pay more (or using using a bonus credit).

I've been a customer of eShakti for years now with at least 16 pieces and have only had 1 item that I've had to return (I did not read the description carefully enough and ordered the wrong size). I have dresses, tops, skirts and jeans. JEANS! They made jeans to fit my body and they are amazing! I wear them almost every day and they have held up for more than a year now. Most of my dresses and tops have bra strap keeps so you never have to worry about your bra showing (amazing!) and my dresses and skirts have pockets! Their designs are ahead of the curve and are beautiful when they arrive. I almost always get the customization so I can ensure my piece fits me perfectly... well worth the extra $9.95. Even when I had a return, I had no issues... quick response to my email and a refund in a decent amount of time.

I am relatively new to Eshakti and things started out great. In fact I ordered 8 dresses in less than 6 months and was pleased!. HOWEVER, one of the dresses I received was damaged and I was unable to use the dress. I immediately contacted Eshakti via email and even sent a picture of the damaged portion of the dress. The only correspondence I received from Eshakti was an email confirming that they had received my email and would be in touch that was 2 almost months ago!. I reached out to them and asked why I hadn't heard anything and I was told another dress was being made for me and would be sent to me soon and that someone would be contacting me (which would have been fine). I NEVER heard anything else! I reached out again and left a message with customer service and no one called me back. I'm so disappointed with this company, in fact I was planning on ordering 2 more dresses once I received my replacement dress but have since changed my mind. Though these clothes are reasonably priced, I am a big fan of great customer service and Eshakti has failed miserably. I plan on filing a complaint with the better business bureau-no one should have to pay for damaged goods and not be compensated.

I have ordered from eShakti several times now. The cute clothes keep me coming back, but the poor customer service I got the last time was the last straw for me. I ordered a beautiful dress that I was going to wear to a wedding, custom size and everything. It so happened that one of the straps was fixed with some kind of metal ring. I put the dress in the car and drove the 4 hours to the destination, with nothing touching the dress, and hung the dress up when I got there. A few days later when I went to wear it, I noticed that one of the metal rings had split in half and fallen on the floor, leaving my dress with only one working strap. I couldn't wear it to the wedding. When I informed eShakti about this, they offered to reimburse me to have it repaired or to repair it for me. Given how long it takes to ship these clothes, I would have been waiting 3 months for my dress. Or I would have had to pay for repairs myself and then wait for reimbursement.
Eventually, finally agreed (after much convincing on my part) to give me a refund if I would send the dress back. I absolutely should not have had to convince them to give me a refund for this dress. Every customer service associate was completely blase and unapologetic for the poor quality of the dress I received and they were all very stingy with any sort of reparations. They do not seem to care about keeping their customers. I don't even think going to a manager would help in this situation, because it seems to be company culture.

EDIT: After writing this review I received a very nice apology from customer service for my experience. I really appreciated this because I was feeling like my customer experience didn't even matter to them. I am glad to know it does, and I appreciated them reaching out.

I have ordered several things from Eshaki. The fabric quality is "decent" and it's nice to be able to customize your outfit! Plus, the styles are really nice, on point and their prices are great. BUT the bad part is the retruns! What a nightmare! I am in cancer treatments at the moment and whenever I order something I have to follow up 2-3 weeks later to make sure they issue the credit (which they never do unless you bug them!). I'm super forgetful (which I'm sure they are hoping people just forget) so it really drives me crazy that I have to back track to make sure they issued the credit. Hopefully they will straighten that out otherwise I'll be sticking to US made clothing from now on :)

Bought 3 dresses, dissatisfied with fit (standard size much smaller than American sizing). Returned he dresses as per instructions, got emails acknowledging returns were received. Then Nothing. I called to complain & service told me I would be credited immediately. Still nothing, now a month later. Very dissatisfied. Will never do business with them again & now planning a consumer complaint with state Atty general. This is fraud as far as I'm concerned!

First of all this is the first time I have ever ordered clothing over the Internet. I was hesitant nervous and had low expectations. I was also desperate! My daughters wedding was six weeks away and we still could not find bridesmaids dresses. A friend suggested Eshakti. We ordered and I was impressed that immediately a mistake in the measurements I had sent was spotted. As an experienced seamstress I was so pleased that it was caught and remedied within 24 hours. The dresses arrived in under 2 weeks! The next surprise was that each dress fit perfectly! It is the first time alterations on Internet ordered articles of clothing was not necessary at all! So everyone was happy! Now I only have one negative which is not that bad, they clearly state the kind of fabric used for the dresses so I knew I was only getting cotton broadcloth which is not great. I wish they offered these dresses in an alternate better quality dressier fabric. BUT all in all I got exactly what I had ordered, the quality of workmanship was good, the fit was Fantastic and the variety of styles was terrific!

I fell for the $25 off your first order. I tried 2 blouses, had them 'made to my height', ordered based on my measurements and waited and waited for delivery. It's my own fault for not realizing they are in NEW DELHI... had I known that I wouldn't have ever done business with this company. Finally the items arrived- a week late. One blouse was way too small- based on the company's own measurements there was no way this could fit. I kept the second shirt, even though this is way too low cut and needs a cami under neath. I returned the item to the WA address and it was received on 8/11/17, as of 8/31/17 I have yet to receive my credit back to my bank account. I have no communication from this company, and as much I want to like them, all I have is frustration and wondering where my refund is.

I ordered 3 dresses in a month and they are all great!. It takes approximatly 3 weeks to receive but sometimes it arrived before the do date. Fabric and stitching is good and il am very pleased so far.

A friend referred eshakti which I was excited that dresses could be customized to my liking and length. I needed a dress for an upcoming wedding and ordered three different ones, two of which were customized. One was from tea length to knee length, the other a neckline change. The knee length was anything but as the underlayer of a mesh dress barely covered my rump roast. The neckline alteration is uneven and terribly noticeable. The other dress was so frumpy and baggy, with the length shown and ordered not as described. Two of my dresses came before the third with no notification that it was not forgotten or a different tracking number. After contacting customer service I got four different responses, from it was included to it's back ordered, to it's shipped. Prices and selection seem to be nice but I'll stick to brands that I know will deliver as promised.

I was extremely skeptical of ordering from eShakti, but I did. I got a dress for my brothers wedding, had it made to my size. I'm 5'11" and overweight, I have never had a dress that fit me better and I felt more beautiful in! It arrived in the amount of time promised, it's well made. I called customer service to get an update about a week after ordering, they answered in one ring, answered my question, and it was so easy! I highly recommend to anyone, especially people with unique body shapes looking for affordable options.
