Escrow.com garners mixed feedback from customers, highlighting both commendable service and significant concerns. Positive experiences often emphasize the professionalism and helpfulness of customer support, particularly during complex transactions, which many users found reassuring. However, a recurring theme in negative reviews points to frustrating delays in fund transfers and a lack of transparency regarding fees and processes. Customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of refunds and the perceived incompetence in managing transactions. Overall, while some users appreciate the service for its protective measures, others warn of potential complications and inefficiencies.

Kind of a weird transaction, and Support was helpful and responsive. You don't expect to get responses within a couple hours from a big website, but they did, oftentimes within minutes. Loved it.
Don't expect honesty, reliability or good service. You need to sue them to get your money. They will continuously give you false information and
Delay the refund or transfer of your money. They should be removed from the California approved escrow company list.
I recently purchased a website using escrow.com and had the pleasure of dealing with angela. She was easy to deal with and super friendly. Thanks for a great easy experience!
I would not have gone through everything so smoothly and easy without Alex's help, I would highly recommend using the chat service to make sure everything is done thorough
I sold a domain and fortunately the buyer chose to use escrow.com's concierge service. What should have been a simple transfer got complicated. My domain was at register.com and their support was really useless. I was really lucky that Angela was assigned to handle this. She went above and beyond to get this resolved, even getting the Register.com people on the line with me. She was very knowledgeable, responsive and got this done. Highly recommend requesting her if you use escrow.com.
Thank goodness for Angela. We finally have someone who who keeps you informed as to the progress of your transaction. I got an email from Angela 3 times. Twice letting me know about progress of the transfer of the domain and and once how the payment to me would be handled. Saved me from having to call Escrow. In the past, every time you called about the progress of the transaction it would take Escrow a day to respond to every question. Again! Thank goodness for Angela who understands what "Concierge" service means.
Respectfully,
David Webb
The whole escrow thing in the "real world" is more complicated than most people think. While this service does cause a few calories to get burned, it's WAY less painful than doing it any other way... not to mention, cost effective. All the legal steps were embedded into the process and the people behind the scene understood what they were doing. As the buyer, I felt represented properly, but could also get a sense of how they were protecting the seller. As it should be. I will certainly use the service again when I have the need for a third party protected transaction of any kind. In this case, I used to pay for a domain name purchase from an unknown seller, and it was awesome.
Escrow's Conceirge survice of this domain sell was great.
At the last deal without conceirge survice, I had to spend lots of time to transfer the domain to the buyer, but I didn't anything at this time.
Thank you Angela.
You made me happy.
I had never transferred a domain and so was totally unfamiliar with the process.
Angela C proved to be worthy guide with clear and timely communications
Straightforward and easy to use. We worked with Angela C. And had a great experience. Thanks again, Angela!
If you have a great domain name, the Concierge Service was a very helpfull.
Win-win solution for both seller and buyer.
- Buyer send the money to escrow
- Seller send the domain to escrow
This is full-service transaction between buyer and seller.
Highly recommended for all people in the world.
I've used Escrow.com numerous times in the past to both buy & sell domain names and can't really fault it. Personally, I wouldn't use anything.
I recently used their 'Concierge' service to purchase a domain name & didn't know what to expect. Angela from the Escrow.com Concierge team was very helpful and extremely prompt when replying to emails. She also had a good knowledge of domain terms & regulations (such as avoiding a 60 day registrar lock) which ensured the transaction went smoothly and completed much more quickly than I had anticipated.
I have used Escrow.com before, but my recent experience was awful. Because my translation was $3000, they required me to send them the article of incorporation for my business. I've owned my business for 28 years and never had to provide anyone other than my bank my articles. The entire process they are sending me through is ridiculous for using their service to buy a $3000 domain name. I sent numerous emails with no response to my questions. I will NEVER use them again.
I am new to domain name sales and Mariana was a very helpful, competent and professional person to work with. Her communication was clear, concise and pleasant. She paid close attention to my transaction which was very reassuring. I plan on using escrow.com again.
Horrible. Do not send them money before all paperwork is approved! They will change the process and requirements on the go, and ask for another paper, another signature, and nothing of this is in their terms & conditions... and your money is just sitting there...
To all sellers: do not let your customers go through this experience. It will reflect on YOU.
AVOID WHENEVER POSSIBLE
High Fees
Terrible Communication
Rude Emails
Really an extra fee for using PayPal?
A great company to handle domain transfers. Both the seller and the buyer are fully protected. Great customer service and easy processing with their user friendly web site. Super fast transaction. Escrow.com is must for domain transfers. Highly recommended.
I have over thirty emails back and forth trying to do a simple domain name transfer. I dealt with 8-10 different people there. They don't communicate with each other and you get a different person with every contact. If there was ever a cluster $#^$ this is it. These people are flying by the seat of their pants. SO FRUSTRATING!
They said I was correct about them not being an escrow agent for me. No forearm escrow service is available. They are just handling the money, not the firearms, which are being handled legally per ATF guidelines.
If they won't be my Escrow agent, then they are still useless to me.
Shame they went from being a good escrow company to the worst. No longer wish to do business with them.
Nothing but problems with them
Answer: Hi David, we've processed just over $3 billion in transactions to date, with transactions from $100 all the way up to over $10,000,000. In addition to our regular licensing requirements, I hope you'll take a moment to look at the customer testimonials on www.escrow.com
Answer: Hi Janine! Thanks for reaching out! As the largest online licensed and audited escrow operator, Escrow.com is your best choice for domain transfer transactions. Escrow.com safely holds or secures the Buyer's payment in a trust account until the entire transaction is complete. That way, Buyers can be confident that the domain will be registered in their name and Sellers can be sure they'll be paid. We also have the concierge service for domain transfers without content where the Seller needs not to wait for the Buyer to confirm receipt and full control of the domain as Escrow.com will essentially take care of that inspection in your behalf. The Seller will only need to transfer the domain to one of our secured registrar accounts and we can release the funds to them. On the Buyer's side, they don't need the inspect period to verify the domain because we will do that for them. Our concierge team will work directly with the Seller to transfer the domain to us so there's no need for the Buyer to stress with follow-ups about the domain transfer. As soon as we secure the payment, the Buyer only needs to advise us where they want the domain to be transferred to and we will take care of the rest. Our dedicated concierge specialists will assist you every step of the way. Feel free to leave your contact details and best time to call as we are happy to discuss with you further should you have other questions. Thanks!
Answer: Hi Milly, I'm not sure I'm understanding your question exactly but Escrow.com only displays bank information on our site and never via email. Check to make sure any emails you are receiving came [email protected].
Answer: Hi Doug, start by making an offer to the seller through the AutoTrader.ca's Secure Payment platform. Once the offer is accepted you can pay into the escrow account and then go to inspect the car. If everything is as expected you can release funds to the seller right there on the spot. Two quick tips: Always make sure emails about your transaction are coming from [email protected] email address, and make sure you log into Escrow.com to make sure you're sending funds to the correct account. Hope this helps!

Hi Bill,
Escrow.com covers transactions for many different types of goods and services, however as we are not an FFL dealer ourselves we are unable to participate in transactions for firearms.
