Aside from the email received, everything went well so far.
I used escrow in the past for 2 transactions. It's a slow service and found them very lacking overall.
While you can chat and reach people on the phone it does seem like the information you get is not correct.
Some quick examples
1. After showing payment waiting to be cleared I contacted chat. I was told they have everything needed and just now kicking it upstairs for processing
2. A day or later after seeing payment not cleared I contacted again to learn they wanted more information. No reach out from Escrow.com on this
3. A few more days later I contacted again only to learn they wanted more documents. They did not contact me I had to contact them.
4. Seller get's email 3-5 days later the transaction is cancelled. Escrow did not send notification to me.
5. I try to log in. Escrow password does not work, try re-set, no recovery password.
I call Escrow who does to their credit have live chat and phone support and I never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes to speak or chat with someone.
I learned they blacklisted me. They said they made the commercial decision to not work with me and closed my account. They made no effort to email me or call me which I find very strange.
With Escrow you have zero recourse. They will not review their decision to not work with me nor will they provide any insight as to why they won't work with me.
My end desire as stated to the escrow phone support is to speak with someone to resolve whatever issue they have with me to become un-blacklisted but as stated, I'm told there is nothing to be done.
As someone who buys and sells online and works in this industry I'd recommend working with your local smaller bank to do escrow for you. I have done this in the past and likely will keep going this route as there you have the relationship and if there is a problem you can actually speak to someone who is able to help instead of not provide any resolution.
I can't think of anything w/ regard to customer support.

Once the offer is accepted you can pay into the escrow account and then go to inspect the car. If everything is as expected you can release funds to the seller right there on the spot. Two quick tips: Always make sure emails about your transaction are coming from [email protected] email address, and make sure you log into Escrow.com to make sure you're sending funds to the correct account.
