I had a VERY disappointing and inconvenient experience with Enterprise. (Note: 30mins after I picked up the car I received a call from my brother saying my sister-in-law just passed unexpectingly, so I really didn't have the bandwidth nor time to be dealing with the following.)
1. I was given a car that was filthy on the inside. A previous driver smoked heavily in the car (and not just cigarettes). Once the air freshener faded, there was a faint smell of Marijuana in the car.
2. The windows were so dirty from cigarette smoke I initially thought they were fogged up, and tried to defrost them. It was apparent that the inside of the car hadn't been cleaned in a while.
3. The day after I picked up the car, I called to request a swap because the brakes were bad (sounded like I was driving on the rumble strips, on the shoulder), the car pulled to the right, and it periodically accelerated while I was driving, like I was giving it more gas.
4. I tried several times, and made 3 trips to swap out the car, but was told by 3 different locations to come back after 530p because there were no CARS available. Then I was told I could take it to one of your shops to get the car fixed. That's not MY job or MY responsibly. That's on Enterprise. After a week, one location finally upgraded me to an SUV, since there were no cars available.
It's EXTREMELY concerning that no one thought to just upgrade me to an SUV, after I REPEATEDLY expressed concerns for my safety.

The past 2 times like running a car.It has not been ready and I had to wait at least half a hour to forty five minutes for them to clean it up.
I actually was thirty minutes late and I called to let them know it's gonna be thirty minutes late so the car should have been ready.

Needed a rental due to an accident. Enterprise picked me up at the auto body shop, the guest service was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable. Upon return, again, very friendly, made pleasant conversation with myself and my daughter. Just a very professional crew.

Booking online was so easy. The young lady at pick up was very friendly and thorough. The car was wonderful. After hours drop off was simple. See Previous complaint. Absolutely abysmal service. Incompetent employees, Tobacco stench in the car was so bad I could actually smell the tobacco smell on my clothes after exiting the vehicle. The smell also made all seven of us sick. My wife has asthma, and I have a heart condition.The vehicle you gave us was dangerously close to running out of gas. It was reported to have!/4 tank. We had to go 2 locations to get a car. There is so much more I could tell you about the horrible way we treated. I don't want to take up any more of my time to express my dissatisfaction.My expectations are low as to any remedial or punitive action aginst Enterprise personnel who made our lives hell when we were supposed to see our grand children and have a relaxing visit.

I prefer Enterprise, although will usually rent with an eye toward price. My latest rental, in Klamath Falls, Ore., reinforced that preference.
