I have learned to always take pictures when dropping off your rental enterprise charged me over $1,000 in damages there was no attendant I was told to drop the keys in a box. I did try to fight with damage control. I will never rent from enterprise again. I think there's something shady going on!
Very dissatisfied with the Enterprise in Clinton twp MI My son came from out of town to rent from Enterprise because he has never had a problem he has a Enterprise account. When he gets in Michigan rules change he cant rent with debit card.
So first time using Enterprise as their price was competitive not the cheapest just reasonable. Even though online price was reasonable at branch they throw the £1250 excess into the conversation (website says £250) so they managed to scare me enough to buy additional insurance and at the end rental cost was significantly over.
Their system charged my credit card twice. After 10 days of ringing I am still waiting for the duplicated payment refund.
Never had either problem with Europe Cars or Hertz, their prices are more transparent and refunds are immediate.
Wont be using Enterprise again that is for sure.
I rented a car from Enterprise in Camp Springs MD, for one day. You all are aware when you rent a car, they say let's do a walk around and point out any damage YOU SEE, and they mark it. Well, the car I rented was beautiful, fully loaded, 2020 Nissan Altima, no issues that you will see just looking at the car. After I dropped the car off, in the overnight drop, one hour before they opened. When I looked at my receipt, they filed a claim for damage to the UNDER BODY of the car; now I'm thinking did I run over something, just back tracking my whereabouts. When I got back to the rental car location which is a 3 minute walk from my house, I looked at the car again, and still did not see anything, they said they saw tape under the bottom of the car, and that I had damaged the car, and they filed a claim against my insurance company. Imagine being charged for something you know you did not do 100%. If there was no tape under the bottom of the car, I would have thought maybe I somehow ran over something, but once I was told I taped up the bottom of the car, knowing 100% I did not such thing, I hit the roof. I took pictures and had to literally get on my knees and angle my phone under the car to get pictures. No one ever look under the bottom of a car, nor do they. They knew this car was already damaged, the duck-tape was old, frayed, had a bunch of grit and dirt stuck to the inside of the tape, that proves this had been there for a while. When they accepted that car from another rental car company, the night before I rented it, they did not inspect it, they just vacuumed it, and washed it, now trying to get a customer to pay the damage they knew was already there, that either they did, or a previous renter did. Sorry, the site would not let me post pictures, they are must see. Speaking with the managers there, all they are doing is trying to protect themselves and their job, because they failed to do a proper inspection prior to accepting the car.
For the first time in my life, I am writing a negative - very negative review of a rented car. It comes from Motor City Drive location in Colorado Springs. Huge mileage, over 22,000. Smell as if someone smoked in the car and then intensive sprays tried to overpower the bad smell - they did not quite succeeded. Dirty rear view mirror made it hard to see (see photo). A random piece of paper was glued to the windshield. I was promised a 4-wheel drive, and this was the only one: take it or leave it - just as God offered Adam to choose a wife. Zero stars would be fair - will have to select one star. Very disappointed, will try to avoid if possible.
Horrible people and horrible customer service! I have been going through enterprise for years now every time myself and my family go out of town or if a vehicle is out of service! I got red flag because one time there was a miscommunication and the gentleman that called me back was very very nasty and he told me why waste time on individuals like me when I was a one time deal at about 10 years I have been going through them like a communication very ignorant awful threaten full people I said just take your business elsewhere
I filed a complaint on Saturday and was told I would hear from the district manager on Monday and I have not heard anything! The treat you like crap and do not work well under pressure. You can not take it out on your customers because the location is busy and you do not have the manpower to run it
Worst hire car company. I gave my car back three weeks ago and they are still taking money off my card with no explanation. They are not responding to my emails and my questions as to why they have taken money off my card several times since I gave the car back.
They should not be allowed to use my card for an unlimited amount of time after I hired a car from them without any explanations.
I arranged the rental of an intermediate size SUV with Enterprise rent a car in Innsbrook ( Glen Allen) VA. My mother died recently and I needed to clear out her apartment (a 1,900 mile round-trip). I called several weeks ahead then reconfirmed twice the week of the rental. When I showed up all they had was a truck -' and didn't care at all that I was upset. I left without renting there. I recommend that others avoid them too.
Enterprise rent a car never picked me up at my location tried calling them no answer. I called them in the morning to verify the pick up time they said yes we got you. No show have. Next the talked to manager had many excuses why they did not pick me up. To me poor excuses I had reservations with them ahead of time and was confirmed.
The customer service at Enterprise Rent-A-Car at "******* 101 ST, Edmonton, AB" has exemplary service. The whole team and management at the downtown location was willing to go over and beyond what was required.
Mark and Justin are the opitome of excellence. They take time to listen to clients and offer services over and beyond normal. I went on a business trip to Kanas City, MO and reserved a luxcury car with Enterprise 3 weeks in advance. When my wife and I got to the rental car terminal, to our surprise Enterprise was closed down. The sign in front of the Enterprise desk read that they were closed and to see National Car Rental for reservations. We never received an email stating they were closed, and we would needed to go to National Car Rental to get the vehicle we reserved. The representative at National looked up our reservation, confirmed that we were down for a luxury vehicle, stated he had a BMW, confirmed that we were ok with that, took payment and said he would grabbed the keys to bring the car around and be right back. We watched him run around for a good 20 minutes 'claiming' he couldn't find the keys to the car. My wife said he's pretending like he can't find the keys because they are trying to save it for someone else. After another 10 minutes of acting, he comes back and say, "Sorry, the BMW is reserved for some BIG WIG, we can upgrade you free of charge to a Tahoe or a sports car, and for your trouble pay for a half tank of gas." First of all, we were only in town for 2 days, we would barely burn 1/4 tank in a Tahoe. I'm looking like did I not reserve this car 3 weeks ago? Should I put that I am a Big Wig on my application next time? This is definitely bad business, and poor customer service from National to refer to someone as a Big Wig as if that title is more important. Based off this occurrence with Enterprise and the communication with the representative from National Car Rental, I WOULD NOT recommend them at all unless Big Wig is on your credit card information.
Enterprise asked for my credit card to place a ‘hold' until Geico picked up my policy, I was told I would never be charged to that card, and I trusted that.
Geico took over my policy, and after rental car was returned I was charged $820. I never signed anything to ever authorize this charge. I am now in a dispute with my credit card against enterprise. I will never choose enterprise again.
To top it off, I was issued a car that was still filthy inside, I got all the way home before noticing that they failed to leave the key fob inside the car (car was already running when they put me in it) so I could not even use it the first day until they brought me the key.

Rented and confirmed my car 2 days ahead of time. One day rental $52.00 quick turn around back in 8 hrs. Fraudulent charge of $343 for 1 day! Parked car put keys drop box returned next day confirmed with that they enterprise had the keys. This company has proven to be reliable. They don't switch prices on you like other companies. They do practice the scam of selling extra insurance.
Misleading website! (SCAM) "deal" On the website they have the "surprise" rent option which is "compact" or larger! To them it means the smallest and cheapest piece of junk/trash/garbage on the lot and it is the ONLY company in the market that counts economy as the same size as a compact! So DO NOT think its a deal! Then the piece of trash/garbage/junk had NO antenna so no RADIO as soon as you left town! In short AVOID this company at all cost! Goto thrifty or avid where economy and vompact cars are two different classifications and two different sizes!
I WRITE THIS AFTER CALLING CORPORATE- NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD A LENGTHY CONVERSATION WITH SOMEONE AT CORPORATE. SHE IS GOING TO HAVE A HIGHER THAN AREA MANAGER CALL ME NEXT WEEK. HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT STRONGSVILLE OH STORE! THEY TRIED TO RIP ME OFF AND CHARGE ME HUNDREDS MORE THAN WHAT I WAS QUOTED AND HAD A RESERVATION FOR. MADE MULTIPLE MISTAKES WITH MY RENTAL SITUATION, AND THEN TRIED TO GET ME TO GO TO ANOTHER STORE A HALF HOUR AWAY... I HELD MY GROUND, AND IN THE END, GOT THE CAR FOR THE PRICE ON THE ENTERPRISE RENTAL pw THEY SENT ME! ALSO, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER RELATIONS, NO IDEA HOW TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. WITH ALL THESE HORRIBLE REVIEWS, ENTERPRISE CORPORATE NEEDS TO MAKE SOME SERIOUS CHANGES.
Lied to me said they had a car waiting on me. I went there to get it and was told no cars available. Went back again same ordeal. My insurance covered a pickup they put me finally in a Nissan rogue... Brought it back on time and the office I took it to has no drop box like I was promised it would. So I call them first thing the next morning and told them where the keys were. They said ok thank you. 2 days later I get $100 charge on my card saying I haven't returned vehicle. Then the guy says oh I forgot to check it in let me. See if we can get you a refund. What do you mean lete see if you can get me a refund you took money from me that was not owed to you how the hell do you have to see if you can get me a refund. Rude people, ignorant people, one office were racist people. Worst Company I've ever delt with. Dealing with them will make a sane person go postal. Worst Company ever.
I rented a car and the day of return I was running late and when I got to the location I forgot the gas. Enterprise charge me 2 time the price of gas plus taxes. This is unacceptable I paid over 200 for a 1 day rental. This is the Rexdale location. I don't feel comfortable renting with them because their customers service skill sucks and they don't care about their customers.
Had car rented Lafayette airport 8-2. Was supposed to be open till ten. Got in at nine all closed up. Had five people took cab to hotel. No one answers at customer service. Called next morning said reservation was honored and could pick up car. Went 25 miles to airport and was told car was rented out. I had it paid in full. I said how in the hell could you rent it out when you werent open, i had it paid in full, and they just told me i could pick it up. The real friendly, yuck, yuck, woman behind counter basically told me to screw myself and they are all rented out. I have delt with a lot of companies in my days, but i have never, and i mean never have delt with such a rude, dishonest, and incompetent company in all my 63 years. Please do not wvan attempt to to business with this so called company. You WILL be sorry!
