Bad Experience

I am not happy with empire today at all, first they came and said they couldn't do the carpet for some reason then had to wait 4 days for another appointment. When they finally came did the carpet, they ran out of carpet and couldn't do my stairs. Guy said we'll be back never came back or called, 2 days later they called and set up another appointment for my stairs. Have to wait a week for stairs yo get done, I would never use Empire Today and would not recommend it to anyone. Not happy at all.

Bad carpet

I am a customer of Empire 4 years ago they put carpet in my new home It was good for a while Until I started seeing the Patting wear down I bought the best patting I call Then the come out here to look at this carpet and they sent a sent a person to look at it and not even walk around all you wanted to do was put a signature on this paper so you can get paid though he didn't get paid I tried talking to Empire but they would not even talk to me wear and tear they told me I'm the only one that lives in this house Please be aware they're not the company that I thought they would be honest honest trustworthy Now I gotta redo my whole house with new carpet They got my money now I gotta spend more money to Recarpet My house

I purchased from this company and would give them a minus 5 if I could. I purchased vinyl flooring and then come to find out it was the cheapest product on the market and I paid a premium price in fact it's just like linoleum flooring because the linoleum sample I have from another flooring company is actually a better product. What is it a bait and switch just to get business? I've gone back and forth with this company to get a few things fixed and now they are ignoring my request to fix a flaw in one of the rooms where the floor is installed. Most untrustworthy company ever. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE my experience is with the business LAS VEGAS, NV. Never in my life have I ever dealt with such an unethical people/business.

Scam pricing
March 12, 2022

They came in with samples. I asked for the price per square foot for each of the samples installed and they would not give me a price per square foot. They say they measure first and then give a flat rate pricing. I said so just divide out the square footage you're measuring by the total and you can give me the price per square foot. After a long argument they finally gave me the price. I was ready to move forward and then they said they had to write it up, have me sign and agree to a higher price and then they would submit it for a discount approval to get back to the price they quoted me. I wasn't born yesterday. I told them I have no intention on signing anything at a higher price and said have a good day. Scam pricing.

Empire quoted a price, but we were told it would be adjusted by the time of installation. They came to install carpet and a floor. They sent 2 crews and that predicated the issue. They left without installing the floor and offered no solution as to when they would be back or how to get the floor installed. Customer service directs you to the local installer and they don't call back. Now we are getting billed full price, no discount. I just want them to call me back, finish the job and give me my discount. The installation was on Feb 25th, 2022 and still no response. If you are ok with installers walking off an incomplete job, no support from customer service and fake accreditation from the BBB, Empire Today is your company.

Empire Today

Here's a update to my dispute with Empire Today.
They came out and refused to replace the flooring that was damaged by them taking the flooring protection that was there before they came to install the new flooring.

I have text messages from them saying they would be replacing the flooring on 2/22/22.

So again stay away from empire today.

They do not properly install vynil floors to save time. The floors lift within a year. There are many reviews demonstrating this. They do not honor warranties. They will quote you a 1000 to fix their shady job. Don't waste your money or time. A class action suit needs to be filed against them!

Horrible incomplete job

This Co. Came to install after an unauthorized reschedule. Took our door off the bathroom to install flooring. Finished the job then we were told the door doesn't fit. The floor is to high? Umm excuse me ok so now what. Well we don't fix this? You have to figure out how to shave, sand, cut the door. So they left us without a bathroom door? Wtf called our rep called the empire customer service called corporate they said we cannot do anything to fix we don't do that. The rep came took measurements and said we will install and put everything back as we found it. NOT TRUE LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE. WE HAD ALREADY scheduled another 13 000 job safe to say we cancelled it. Butttt they will not give us our deposit due to their terrible work ethic customer service. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give this company a 0...

This company engages third party "affiliate" spammers to send endless spam. I receive dozens of their spam emails per week. I have never requested information from this company nor do I would I ever utilize a company that uses such obnoxious marketing technics.

We Paid 12k for flooring that had I gone straight through a contractor, would have been 5k max. We decided to pay the extra because at least if anything went wrong, we were with what we THOUGH was a reputable company, and would be covered. 2 days later, ALL the steps they did were falling off, I fell down a whole flight because the step broke when I stepped on it. After nonstop leaving message after message, Empire would not return my call. I luckily had taken the contractors name and number, and HE went about coming back, ripping them all out, and doing it right. Less than a month later the strip they put between the flooring in the hall and kitchen popped out. I has been amost a year, and they NEVER got back to me, never fixed it. It is still broken. Yet, they have NO PROBLEM calling me multiple times, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a month, to try to sell more flooring. They must train their employees to hang up ASAP if someone mentions an issue. I would NEVER refer them, I'd actually love to see them go out of business. I'd also love to rip up this floor and smack them with the broken board. Worst customer service, and worst improvement job I've ever had in my life. They overcharge you times 100, throw you the 1st available contractor they have, and then you are on your own if any issues arise. Do yourself a favor, GO DIRECTLY THROUGH A SUBCONTRACTOR! It will be about a 3rd of the prices Empire charges, and probably a FAR more superior job. Don't even consider Empire - Biggest mistake you could make! Unfortunately, I can't give them negative stars as a rating - because that's all they deserve.

Avoid empire

I have been waiting two years for a refund. They sent one guy to install three rooms, so I was forced to help move furniture and bulk carpet. I am 76 and disabled Vet. Requested $250 for my labor etc. The company does care about the customer.

Think twice…

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They do not stand by their installers and try to charge for repairs without giving an explanation. I was told the installer (repairman) was not supposed to talk to me about the repair… by 2 different reps. That's because the installer was honest and they claim the report said the damage was my fault. Don't make my mistake… deal with a direct installer!

Run away fast!
December 28, 2021

We had vinyl flooring and carpet installed throughout our home. The installers didn't show up on time. They removed the toe board under the kitchen cabinets and said they'd put it back and did not. They knocked out a corner piece of floor board. They knocked paint off the walls. They did not tack down carpet properly. They removed the trim around the fireplace tile and did not replace. I've made multiple calls to customer service over the past 3 months and am told I'll get a call in 24 business hours and do not. I've emailed Empire. No response. We like the flooring but the installation experience has been abysmal. There has been absolutely no follow up and the customer service reps are snotty over the phone. I would definitely not recommend Empire Today.

First of all, they farm out the labor to local flooring guys, and the ones in my area are not a top notch flooring company! I've had nothing but issues with it. I've had to have them replace the carpet once already bc they did not stretch it and cut it it properly and the edges started to come apart. The carpet goes flat after a year, it is Not stain proof and THEIR WARRANTY IS CRAP! They say they'll do all this stuff it needed but when it comes down to it, they will say it's "customer" damaged and they will not hold up their end of the bargain. I will never refer or use them again! It's a cheap grade flooring over priced and the people putting it in are Not empire employees, they're just some jo shmo off the street who'll do it Cheaply!
A complete rip off. And heaven forbid you need to call about the warranty! JENNA THOMPSON is not a customer first person and she has an attitude from the jump. THATS BC THEY ARE CROOKS!

Deceptive practices and mis leading
December 10, 2021

We called for an estimate for vinyl flooring and the sales lady came and informed us that a special was going on for 50% off so she measured and came up with around 660 sq ft then she said that the cost would be around $14,000 but with 50% it would be around $7000 now thats an inflated price, Home depot only wanted 4100 for the same job however, they had a 25-30 day window and my daughter was moving in by the 20th of Dec so I felt pressured to go ahead with Empire even though I really didnt want to because they could install the next week. Then the sales lady said we could put 2000 down deposit and pay the balance when the job was done. Would you believe the workers came to install and told me that we had to pay in full before they started work. I challenged it but they said it's their policy, then why didn't they just ask for the whole amount up front in the first place. However, I do have to say that the installers were great, it's too bad they work for such a bad company. We have other houses to do and our neighbors and family but no one I know now will ever use Empire Today again.

I purchased flooring and custom window treatment on November 8,2021. Made a deposit of over $1,400 for both items. Finally got the flooring installed after having to re-select another product due to manufacturer issues (that the sales rep did not know about). Never got a pre-calk the day before installation with an ETA. Still waiting on the status of the window treatment. Customer service is the worst can't get anyone to speak with me or respond to emails. I've been placed on hold several times for up to an hour and still did not get to speak to anyone on the status of my order. There is no sense of urgency or responsiveness. If you are looking for professional and responsive service... look elsewhere because this is not the company. I will never purchase anything again from Empire Today and will let all of my family, friends and neighbors to do likewise. Working with this company was a horrible experience!

I had a salesman explain to my wife that home fresh carpets are hypoallergenic the problem though the carpet has padding preinstalled, it actually cost over $1000. More to purchase and install And the carpet is not plush at all, almost like walking on wood flooring, not much forgiveness under food

The person that I originaly contacted to resolve my issue, named Dave, was rude and hung up on me.
I now have an additional issue. The HVV flooring that they installed in our bathroom has become very noisy. Upon investigation, I determined that they did not remove the original vinyl and simply installed the new vinyl over the old.
I knew that there were some very damning reviews on these folks, but based on the salesperson that we met with and the remoteness of our location, I made a major mistake paying these people thousands of dollars to underperform to a level that I thought would be impossible.

Don't believe anything they say. Better yet, don't give them a chance to talk to you.
All have been warned.
Will continue to update my review untill MY ISSUES ARE RESOLVED.
