Very Disappointed

The salesman who came out was nice but very pushy. He did not want to listen to what my wife wanted. W gave him a $1000 deposit yesterday on 7/5/2018. My wife texted the salesperson last night telling him we decided that we were cancelling and told him on the phone today Friday 7/6/2018. Se told him no more texting or phone calls. He doesn't understand NO means NO. We returned the contract via overnight mail today He showed up at our door at dinner time saying he had revised pricing from the main office. Why didn't he give the best pricing up front? He is still calling my wife's cell phone after I told him at the door that we were not interested. He is being a P in the A. Whatever happened to customer service rule #1 which is the customer is always right. If not go back and read rule #1.If Empire wants to contact me my email is *******@gmail.com.

Dont Bother

We had their new Home Fresh carpet installed sorry we ever did. First we were told they would be at our house at 7am. They didnt get there until 1pm. When they left there was a very distinctive line going down the length of the room cant miss it when you walk through the front door. The installers came back out and said they cant do anything about it cause its a fold in the carpet. So now we have this ugly line in the living room. Considering what it cost us that ugly line shouldnt be there. It also doesnt hold up very well in high traffic areas like the hallway. In a year its all going to have to be replaced a waste of money. I hate this carpet sorry we ever went through them.

Absolutely horrible customer service! We are stuck with a house full of carpet we did not order. Installation is so bad that I'm sure we will be replacing within 2 years and somehow this all turned out to be our fault... NEVER EVER WILL I RECOMMEND... the TV commercial gives me chills everytime I hear it!

The sales person was very courteous, and the flooring was installed in two days for 3 bathrooms. Looks great, however, after two weeks, I noticed a leak in the toilet hook up which had seeped through and damaged the living room ceiling below. Well, they fixed the bathroom floor alright. But several phone calls regarding covering the cost of paint for the ceiling which cost $400.00 for professionals, only one missed call. I attempted several more times to speak with the proper people and even mailed in a receipt. There was never a call back or response. I will never again use Empire as a simple check would have covered all issues.

Very Dissatisfied

Empire Today installed my bedroom carpet. The sales associate was not helpful and didnt show me enough samples of Berber carpet. In my haste to get carpet done before the holiday, I selected one. Once installed, I complained to the installer that the carpet showed gaps in the floor between the carpet and the baseboards on the floor. Likewise, the threshold from the hall to the bedroom showed gaps and unevenness. He said it was because the floor was uneven. I called Empire to complain about the installation. I left messages that were not returned. Finally I spoke with someone (more than a week later) and was informed they would send the installer back to correct... NO THANKS! I had another company repair the gaps from floor to boards. The threshold gaps still exist and carpet continues to unravel. I have no choice, but to replace the carpet. NOT HAPPY AND WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Stay away

Tile nightmare: Empire Today said 3 days to install. Took 8 and threw all other projects off. My whole home is being remodeled. Installer did not speak English and I could not communicate with him. They left their garbage and tile separators on my patio for me to clean up. They left 1 spare tile and took the 2 full boxes of tile that were left over with them.
If a tile needs to be replaced, 1 won't help. They arrived with the wrong floorboards. Empire Today twice told me that the correct floorboards would be delivered with the carpet installation,
Carpet installation: Installers arrived at 4PM. They know nothing about the floorboards. At 10PM I had to ask them to leave because I live in a condo and they were still banging carpet down. There is a noise ordinance. Unbeknownst to me, they threw away the old carpet and padding in the small community dumpster on my street. It filled the dumpster and now the neighbors have reported me to the HOA. There is a whole paragraph about it in the latest newsletter. I paid them to haul it all away. It's in my contract.
I called Empire today no fewer than 8 times during all of this and did not receive a call back until I started posting reviews on Yelp and FB.

FIRST OF ALL, WAS GIVEN TWO INSTALLATION DATES 5/30/18 AND 6/7/18 SINCE YOUR SALESPERSON DID NOT INFORMED THE FRONT OFFICE OF THE INSTALLATION CHANGE DATE. HAD TO LIVE WITH OUR HOME BEING TORNED APART FOR TWO WEEKS WITHOUT BEDS TO SLEEP ON AND UNABLE TO SHOWER DUE TO ALL FURNITURE BEING MOVED INTO BATHROOM. SECOND OF ALL, NOT ENOUGH CARPET WAS ORDERED TO FINISH THE JOB ON 6/7/18. EXPECTED JOB COMPLETION ON 6/11/18 HOPEFULLY! ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THE JOB WAS THE INSTALLER DID A GOOD JOB.

I have problems with installation of flooring. I ask to have someone from the company be sent out to review the issues other than the installers. Well the only person sent out was the original installer. So far customer service has not shown real interest in solving the issues or even directing me to someone who would come out and see why customer that spent up front 17,000.00 is not satisfied with Install. Maybe this company doesn't have to feel obligated to care, since the Installation was not their employee. The work was subbed out. That's not the way for a company to care so little. I feel a good customer that paid up front should maybe never pay in full. If no one can at least see what kind of unprofessional install the sub is doing for them. Hope someone might care, instead of run around by customer service wanting me to write a letter and take pictures to maybe get the company "INTEREST" Can't believe no appointment could be made as I ask for months ago. I ask someone other than Sub Contractor be sent to view and discuss. Has Never Happened yet.

Damaged goods

We decided to get Empire Today to install some LVP in our house. Not only did they damage multiple parts of our home and belongings, but they did a horrible job with the floor. Missed details right and left. Transitions that sit above the floor over a half inch. Materials left under the laminate causing bumps. Very poor customer service. Lies from the get go. Will never ever use this company again and I fully intend to report this to the BBB

Let me see, where should I begin.
On the day of the carpet installation, the installers were not even in my house for 5 minutes before they had broken the chandelier in my foyer. That was on February 18 and I am still waiting for the money to be credited back to my card on which I made the purchase. On that same day of installation, the installers damaged the tracking to my hallway linen closet door so badly that the door did not function. I am going to list the rest of the incidents to save my time and yours.
-Extremely poor customer service (little to no response, waiting on the phone for 15-20 minutes every time I call)
-Horrible communication within and outside of the organization
-No follow through
-Installer showed up for my tile installation without the proper materials even after I had spoken with a customer service manager/administrator in the organization
-Inconvenienced me and my tenants for almost 2 weeks with their poor communication
-While I am writing this review I have been accidentally hung up on twice by their incompetent customer service representatives who don't know how to operate the phones.
-I honestly feel like this company has me on a reality show to test my patience.
-When I finish this review, I think I am going to contact my lawyer because this is beyond RIDICULOUS!

Empire Today isn't the company that you don't want to do business. They sell you a product and delivered a different product. From what I can tell they tend to take advantage of the elderly by installing lower quality carpet than what was ordered. The adds are very deceiving so you end up spending more than at home improvement store. My advice is Don't use them!
