The overall reputation of eBid reflects a mixed sentiment among its users. Positive feedback highlights low selling fees, a user-friendly website for buyers, and a generally pleasant purchasing experience. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly with account management and a lack of direct support. Many customers report issues with account suspensions and inadequate responses to inquiries, leading to frustration. Additionally, users express doubts about the site's traffic and sales potential compared to competitors like eBay. This combination of strengths and weaknesses suggests a need for improved customer support and clearer communication to enhance user experience.

Worst auction site ever. No buyers at all and gave up. I've looked up my own items and found them unsold since last year...
Despite the problems I note here, I continue to maintain a quality store on eBid.net and remain hopeful for the future. EBid is great in all ways but one - NO SALES! And, if there are no sales then all the other aspects of their service are moot. I am able to sell these items on feeBay without a problem, but all I get are lookers on eBid, and not that many, really. Not even one sale, or question or offer in 4 months, and I offer most items worldwide! EBid refuses to advertise, so the future prospects are just as bleak. It's a real shame for those of us trying to exit feeBay. FeeBay execs must be laughing!
For sellers eBid is a close second to feeBay when it comes to their site sophistication. Listing is a breeze and their search system works nicely. I'll keep praying for better customer traffic.
I have been delighted with eBid both as a seller and a buyer. I've been there almost four years and I have never had a bad experience.
The site is growing rapidly, management is careful to screen out and control dishonest sellers AND buyers, only one account per address (keeps the dodgy people out), no duplicate listings (so I don't have to plow through pages of junk to find what I'm looking for), many payment options, worldwide exposure.
I have noticed that some of the people giving the site bad reviews did not follow the proper procedures to get help. I also know that some of these problems will not be handled by any other auction site. Try getting help on eBay if a buyer rips you off! Buyers always have recourse (they can get their money back).
I have been using this site for 2 years, and I have nothing but praise for the way it is run, the support staff are quick and friendly. The whole way the site is run and the members I have had contact with have been some of the most positive experience of all the selling sites.
By far much less hassle than others.
I have made quite a few sales traffic is good, although recently since google change the way it displays search results, all ebid listings get clumped in with all feebays listings and get lost and traffic has dropped a lot.
Ebid needs to focus on getting more traffic to the site.
As for all these people who are pleating on about Paypal payments, the buyer never loses with Paypal and ALL ways gets there money back.
Just like life there are bad apples every where.
I have never had any issues
I was a member for 2 months and i paid $49.95 for their lifetime membership and one day, i was not able to log in all my listed items were gone, what a waste of time.
WORST AUCTION WEBSITE EVER,
Ok. So, Let's start: The counter sometimes goes up sometimes goes down. One Day I have 100 people who looked at my auction the other day there after it was only 97. Someone of the support forum said "the counter is a bit dodgy" Similar. Items I have previously been able to sell on Ebay in a week have not been sold on EBID for 3 months. No real customer service ( same for EABY) and yes... I also paid the lifetime payment... Why? As i predicted my items will sell, so comparing to ebay I would have gained a few bob.In the mean time I have sold all items on EBAY!
SO in a nutshell: No user friendly alternative to the EBAY rip-off
Stay away from this site, if you are want to sell your merchandise as a so called "lifetime membership" You will get hit by endless forms to fill out (including very personal information, that is non of their business), even, after you have had confirmation from them that your item/merchandise is up for sale or bid. I was smart enough to place one item, just to try it, and it turned out to be a nightmare. After endless effort to try to contract ebid, I had to made my complain with paypal and finally, got my 49.99 refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE.
After a year of hard effort and money spent, eBid marketplace is not worth it for a seller.
Cheap fees comapred to eBay and others.
Not many buyers, No customer services.
Claiming open and friendly but recently asking for your Passport, Driving Licence without guarantee to keep your confidentiality safe! I have doubt about the motive behind the ID Check: ask you for more money!
I am saying bye to eBid.

I regret EVER posting my things on EBID! When my items were selling quickly on another site - at the same time nothing selling on EBID? So I tried to purchase an item from another seller and found out why. EBID CHARGES FOR EACH BUY IT NOW AND NEVER ALLOWS YOU TO ACTUALLY PAY FOR THE ITEM! I tried several times to contact the seller through EBID - that did not work - I then tried to get help from ebid - it does not exist! WTF? DO NOT BUY OR SELL ON EBID
Don't be fooled by "good reviews".
Fact is ebid is promoting their sellers and staff to go out and write these reviews. Also they're giving each others "good reviews" a helpful rating. Don't be fooled by this scam they're running.
Fact is when something goes wrong (and it will). You will never hear from ebid unless it's a reply to your negative review on here.
They scam 50% of the people that sign up. And the sellers that are on there are defects from eBay's "clean up system". Meaning they were booted from ebay for scamming.
So if you want to scam people it's the place to go. If you don't want to be scammed, avoid it!
WORST SITE EVER!
Hi, I own an online supplement business and I have to agree, they are the absolute worst choice ever! Ebid has no phone support and they will not return my emails. They charged me for 2 memberships fees of $19.99 per membership, than closed both of my accounts. I can't even get a response back. Come monday I will just file a chargeback. I sell on 30 different venues throughout the internet, and ebid is the absolute worst. Period. I only found this review forum here because I was searching google for a phone number to call them. Wanna know who is great, BONANZA and WEBSTORE. They get you some awesome google traffic and are just so easy to use. Bonanza's customer service is just awesome. If they ask who referre you, tell them MuscleLabsUSA (maybe I get something free? LOL) As far as EBID.net... STAY AWAY. They just take your money and run.
I have been with Ebid for several years. Went to the hospital and was there over a month came back finally got to the site after Iwas allowed to get back on my feet. To find out ebid banned me from using it. I have made multiple attempts to contact them and opened complaint tickets with no reply from them. So I opened a 2nd account to go to forum by the 2nd day the banned my 2nd account I sent more emails to them by their ebid open ticket complaint for. No replies. Several weeks of trying I opened another account went to forum within 5 hours they banned my 3rd account and wi not allow me to contact anyone from ebid I suggest if you are on ebay stay there do not pay lifetime membership to ebid they make it a point to not contact you or give you a way to contact them. If im wrong anyone give me a phone # for their office not the ebidsupport team that they tell you to contact. That never replies to complaints I don't believe there is anyone that reads them at all if they do why don't they reply to them.
At least ebay you can call them on the phone and get a real person to talk to you.
Found Ebid very poor in customer service and do not email back pppay very bad, this site is as bad as eBay who con buyers. Would not recommend, better to buy from normal websites than auction sites that are full of expensive items and fed up with paypal eBay Ebid, amazon are very expensive.
Terrible, terrible site. I bought the Seller+ Lifetime membership so I could sell for free. Was "selling" (if you can say that) items for a bit. Then I "randomly" got chosen to submit my passport/utility bill. I did both. In fact, I actually submitted 2, not 1, utility bills. My electric and gas bill, both of which have my name and address clearly printed on the FIRST page. BOTH of which I had received not but 3 days prior.
I wake up the next morning to get an email saying "Please submit a valid utility bill that has your name and address and is within 30 days". What a joke! I email them back and tell them "look at the front of the page". HAH! I wake up again the next morning and my account is disabled! Emailed them again and haven't gotten a response.
Thanks for stealing my money and providing terrible customer service. You should try hiring people who have at least graduated from elementary school, because apparently they have no idea how to read.
Do not waste $50.00 on these clowns and there bogus website.
Ebid sucks big time! I joined 5 months ago without issue. This week a buyer had buyers remorse and told ebid that i sold a fake item. Bam my account is closed without notice and after 3 days of submitting proof about the item via email, i am still locked out of my account and ebid does not reply any longer. They must consider this person an expert in authenticating items that Neiman Marcus will not even evaluate.
EBid does not wish to communicate with you. Otherwise what kind of a business wouldn't have a telephone in 2011?
Even Ebay don't ban you on the word of some buyer with a line thorough there user name.
Avoid these bum scammers altogether!
Tip:
This is a easy way to eliminate your competitors on eBid! Just make a purchase and lie to eBid about it.
Not recommended. Very difficult to cancel your account, absolutely no contact information for the site itself. Zero customer service. Well, I take that back. They have an FAQ and that's it. You will not be able to find or speak with anyone who runs the site. I looked. They basically thrust you into some forum and expect that to pass.
Yes eBay is spendy, and I was hoping that eBid would be an effective replacement for them. They are not. It's just not a mature product. And frankly, if you read the reviews you will find a lot of reasons to steer clear of this.
I purchased a item and the seller closed their account. E-bid did nothing to help me and instead compared themselves to a free ads site and told me to be more careful in future!
I will by not using Ebid ever again. Stick to ebay they will always help you out.
EBid is the perfect auction site, it has all the features you need and doesn't rip you off like FeeBay! Ebid takes 0-2% of your sale, EBay takes 10-20% of sale meaning that a person has to charge more from the buyer to make a profit.
Even an Ebay user paying £15 a month has to pay 20p per buy it now listing and Feebay still gets 10-20%! On Ebid for £50 ONE TIME you get unlimited free listings for life, and only have to give 0-2% of profit.
Ebid has people who will help you. Ebay has machines that fail to help you.
I'm a seller on ebid and have been there for about 2 1/2 years. I sell collectibles and their fees are extremely fair. Support answers your inquiry within 24-48 hours and the response is not canned like at the bay. You actually get a live individual to respond. Listing an item is easy with their 'default listing' option. Sales are increasing and as more sellers find us the variety of items is growing. I'm happy I found this site to sell my collectibles on.
Fantastic friendly UK based selling site. A real alternative to "the bay", so give it a try. Really low selling fees too! Excellent site all round!
Answer: Truly depends on the seller and where they live and how far away from you, the buyer, they are
Answer: Nobody has ever heard of ebid. The only reason I know is because only on one occasion over a period of many years when doing an online search for something it happened to come up.
Answer: Yes they show up in all countries including Canada, our best customer in fact lives in Canada :D
Answer: There is no 'organization'. Sellers have repeatedly asked for a 'sold' column but have never been granted one as this would show to potential sellers how poor the sales are. They have promised a variations option to list as on eBay. This hasn't happened. The forum cheerleaders come onto the review sites and leave five stars - they were once asked to do this by management after a spate of poor reviews - yet they are complaining about the mess the categories are in. Unless you are selling stamps or postcards, forget it. EBay may have the fees, but they also have the sales.
