I ordered this windshield and it showed up completely smashed so UPS returned it as damaged.
Never could talk to anyone at eBay and filing refund claims always resulted in "order not found"
I contacted seller and they blame UPS and ebay sent me a nasty email for contacting seller.
In the end ebay, the seller and UPS can only believe that viewing a smashed windshield is all a customer deserves for $443.00
If it aint totally indestructible then order at your own risk.
Ebay seller support & protecting sellers is non-existent anymore. Making it difficult to contact them for live support, and when you do, you have uneducated representatives reading from a script and not qualified to answer questions not written in their script. If they don't know the answer, they give you a random response unrelated to your specific question. I was personally misdirected and misinformed on a refund question where I did NOT want to issue a refund, and asked Ebay to step in on the case. They told in order to do that, I must accept the return and "trust them". FALSE information, as it immediately accepted the return and sent the buyer a label. I prefer to sell and buy my product on platforms that both buyers and sellers.
I've been a loyal customer on eBay for a decade. I get an email that says my account has been suspended with no explanation, no details. And as a matter of fact the email disappeared too. There was no way to resolve the issue or even find out what I did this one single time in a decade. The last thing I bought was an 8$ ball. Since they suspended and then blocked me i couldn't and can't even look to see if there was a problem in payment or what. I couldn't even contact the seller to apologize. I must have had an old card but I would have gladly changed it if they'd given me one chance but like I said something shady about it and the fact that you cant get in touch with customer support or even send a simple email. Its absolutely ridiculous. Since then I'm a loyal customer of Amazon and hope ebay dies out and loses money. They certainly are where I'm concerned and everyone I know.
EBay is a scam people, ebay rips sellers off, they promote scamming allow buyers to openly commit mail and bank fraud, eBay is actually assisting and helping scammers commit these crimes.
They are a joke at this point and deserve to be sued and shut down
Some of their sellers don't accept returns and I just got ripped off $44 for a dvd that was poorly wrapped without any kind of protection and the condition of the burnt disc was unwatchable. I worked on getting a refund from ebay for 2 days and it's still not resolved so I just gave up. Their help techs are untrained and don't understand when you explain a simple problem to them. And then when you think an issue is resolved and over, you find out later in the day that they actually DID NOT understand and suddenly you're saddled with three new issues. Customer service is almost impossible to get ahold of and to talk to a live person is only after a person has been dealing with ebay for HOURS. Their customer service numbers do not work--they just ring and ring. I do know that some sellers remove all their negative feedback and I believe this seller I got ripped off from did just that--she has a %100 positive feedback. That's complete bull bc who has a perfect rating especially when they've been selling on ebay for years? Nobody--that's impossible for anyone. But ebay then is suppose to handle it but talking to them is nothing but exhausting and a waste of time.
I just logged into my account and browsed for some items, some old toys and video games that I am collecting. I got a notice the yesterday that my account was suspended for "putting the ebay community at risk" When I tried to talk to someone, they told me they could not tell me the specifics as to what happened that caused my suspension... Thanks alot!
I bought 2 18V batteries which the Ebay website lied about being exactly the make and model I was looking for. They cost $30.50. I received batteries with no make or model numbers except Made in China. These would not fit the Black and Decker trimmer I ordered them for. Reason: They were built with 3 prongs not 2 as my originals. So, I returned them. Seller messaged saying "We gave you full refund". But Ebay did not give me full refund. They charged me $14.03 for return shipping. Seller again said it should be $30.50, contact Ebay Customer Service. I did. They were dishonest, lying, sending irrelevant messages about how to return items; asking if I had a pleasant return experience, and much other pure non-sense. At one point, they said they did give me full refund but it might take a month or so to see the additional credit on my visa account which is an outrageous lie. To anyone considering buying things from Ebay: You will be dealing with a greedy, dishonest, fraudulent organization who will charge you money to return a product that they sold you by lying about what it is. Ebay is the exact opposite of Amazon. I can't believe Ebay is still in business.
They'll nickel & dime you for fees. Provide no seller protection at all. Their so-called seller protection is something YOU as a seller have to do, nothing on their end.
From car parts to plants, I buy everything from eBay and have never had a problem and the prices are great. Returns are easy and usually paid by the seller although not always. I had a problem once with a seller but eBay took care of it right away.
Will continue to shop with eBay.
I'm buyer and seller on ebay for 12 years, I agree with some new rules to sell, but fxck! Ebay almost charge you for searching a item if a costumer ask for cancel a item Ebay gonna charge you a fee for cancel the bid. Fxck you Ebay you socks now. MFSOB
The so called "buyer protection" is completely useless. I purchased several thousand dollars of camera memory cards, Sandisk and Lexar brand. After experiencing several card failures (which had never occurred in 20 years), I sent the cards to the manufacturers and was informed that they were all COUNTERFEIT. I submitted all of the manufacturer documentation that they were in fact counterfeit cheap cards to eBay buyer protection. After months of email and phone calls, where they did nothing, they finally said that they would not charge back the sellers as they were overseas. What the heck? I was out over two thousand dollars and had nothing but worthless counterfeit memory cards. E bay did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and I did not get a dime of my money back from them. They are making so much money from counterfeit sellers that they will NOT protect you. Counterfeits in nearly every category sold on their site. Avoid purchasing anything electronic, or designer there. I used to buy quite a considerable amount on eBay, and now I will not do business with them. They lure you in with the promise of 'buyer protection', and then leave you high and dry.
If I can give it a zero, I would.
I made a seller's account to sell personal items (a diffuser) and within less than an hour eBay sent me an email stating "they temporarily restricted me from selling".
At the bottom of the email, it gave me steps to fix the issue. I went to a live agent name AbhliashKumar that was completely useless in helping me. All he can say and repeat was that my account was restricted as if I didn't know that already (he took long intervals of 5-10min in giving me a reply, you could've at least told me to "wait" or let me know you're there).
Then he threaten that future accounts that are associated with my person would be suspended as well. What did I do so wrong that made you blacklist me from ever using eBay?
What did I do so wrong that triggered your committee into hating me to the point where I'm banned forever?
It was my first time creating an eBay account to sell
My goodies. I ask him if there was a reason why I had been given a harsh punishment. He was useless in giving me a definite reason. He told me to drop it as if hearing suspended/restricted forever is not triggering to a person that didn't do anything to deserve such decision-making from incapable people.
Isn't your website build on the purpose of trading goods. It would be best to set up a more secure account process if you're so distrustful of new accounts and make the ridiculous heinous decisions of suspending an account neither less future account/s for one individual. Free tip from a citizen!
Lastly, f%@ you a thousand times!
They do launch investigation when a order is missing. I lost over 200 dollars because tracking marks delivered so its delivered. My item is missing but they wont do anything about it.
I wouldn't recommend eBay as a selling site because they charge way too much, cutting into your profits. They also made it more complicated to collect your money.
Since eBay has become too big and the administrators don't have idea or solution of how to control each transactions, eBay has turned into a very good ground for thieves and scammers. You could easily make thousands of dollars at eBay and cheat people out of their money and run away with people's money. That proves that eBay is no longer a save place to do any transactions. This seller 666hope(*******) is an obvious example of a fraudulent and criminal entity. Below is a copy of tracking number that they created and showed as a proof.
I ordered a pair of Nike 270 shoes size 13. I received size 9.5. I notified Ebay and they said no returns. Do not order anything from ebay. I order things from Amazon all of the time. If there is a problem I can always return the item. Not true with Ebay
Sold item April 19 2022 at 9:53. Customer paid for item at 10:42 April 19 2022. Package was shipped April 20 2022. Package was delivered April 23 2022. First contacted ebay on April 25 2022 to find out why I did not receive pay out on item. No reason was given to me as to why it was taking so long. I was told it would be in the bank the next day. Got a message the next day informing me my payout did not go through. Again no information or explanation as to why it was not going through. Still have no ideal when I will be paid. Posted on ebay on 4/26/2022 my next payout will be 4/27/2022. Don; t expect ebay to pay fast.
I want to tell everyone, ebay didn't stop the transaction where the iphone was bought from my bank account and shipped from California to New York City for 3 days. I lost $ 1,100 even though ebay informed me it was a theft! Ebay explained that the transaction was legal even though my address and state are different, so i think ebay is unreliable!
The price of selling on eBay has become ridiculous for the occasional seller. An item that sold (4/22) for $450.00, eBay took $64 and change. It used to be that the seller knew exactly what the fees were going to be before you listed the item. The system is so convoluted and confusing that you have little idea what the fees are going to be until after you have sold the item. In this case the selling fees were roughly 1/7 of the selling price. What!? That is crazy! Communicating with eBay is extremely difficult. Their rules favor the buyer with little protection for the seller.
I have been an eBay seller and buyer for 10 years. When they went away from PayPal as their payment processor, everything went down hill. Not only have their fees gotten ridiculous, but they hold your money for ungodly periods of time. They place holds on your funds all the time as well. Most recently I sold a PSA 10 NFL card for $79. I received notification, purchased shipping label through eBay and put it in the mail. When I checked my funds, I discovered they were being held, and I needed to read my messages. I went back several months and found a message I missed that they needed me to submit a copy of my government issued ID and bank statement. So I did. The next day, eBay suspended my account with no explanation stating it could not be appealed. Furious, I called eBay's customer service and after 3 tries finally got a human in who knows what country. I was put on several holds and finally ended the call after 45 minutes of dead air. I called back later and spoke to another person, who after 30 minutes informed me that experts couldn't verify my ID was valid. IT'S A MAINE STATE ISSUED REAL ID! Clearly their EXPERTS aren't that smart. He told me they had to submit my information through social security or some whacked out excuse and that I might be paid in 6 months. Even told me it was illegal to pay me. Illegal? I provided a valid MAINE ID and my legitimate bank statement matching names and address. This is corporate theft, and for people like me, they can get away with it, because "who is going to sue them?" I'm now out a card, I wasn't compensated for it, and I cannot even access my account because they shut it off. How's that for a reputable company? EBay needs to be held accountable for this crap. They ship their customer service overseas, steal money, and hide behind federal laws. Well, if you aren't competent enough to verify a United States issued drivers license, then you shouldn't be allowed to do business in our country. I hope this company crashes and burns, because stealing money is stealing money even if you hide behind a fortune 500 label.
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
