Ebay refunded buyer for item I had already shipped less than 7 days later. I had sent USPS as stated in listing, which was going to take 4-7 days. I misplaced tracking number, and by the time I found it ebay had already issued a refund. The tracking number confirmed the buyer had received the item, but since ebay had already refunded it they advised me it could not be refunded (out of $100 plus) I won't go into details on other selling issues, but I came away thinking ebay was too risky of a place to sell items, especially higher-value ones. Ebay is, however, a good place to buy since they tend to focus more on taking care of buyers, sometimes at the expense of sellers. I got frustrated and closed the account I had for 15 years (100% positive feedback). In retrospect, I should have kept open for buying, but I would never have risked selling an item on ebay again.

I bought a tablet with a key board paying 191, something and They told me at the beginning that the item will reach after 7 days unfortunately. I did git get the item. I contacted them and I was told that there was an accident and you will get your item within two days. Later on I talked to them because I did get my item. I was told. Again i will be refunded. They did so but they only refunded 177.38. I tried to shat with the customer service but they did not convince me. Besides the so-called Grace from the customer service cut me off. Since it is so expect me to write. About you everywhere in the social. This is my right. They wasted my time, they were big liars dishonest confirmed.

Anyone else feel the same? Ebay use to be a great place to find bargains. But for a couple of years now it seems like just another overpriced retail outlet. Also, ever since the new "views" reporting (my items use to get on average 10-15 views per week and now get zero) and I believe it is due to ebay's new "promote your item" fee which buries items if you don't pay the additional fee. Seems to just be another way for ebay to make money.
When you order something on ebay you find out afterwards that its being shipped from China and will take a month and a half to arrive if it even arrives at all. Amazon is another piece of crap online seller but atleast you get things in a couple days. Im just about done with ordering things online. You get hacked and your identity stolen at some point for sure and with these conoanies like ebay scamming on top of it bu not telling you about the Extraordinarily long shipping tine until after you buy something Ive about had it. Oh yea you click cancel order and they say too late. DONT ORDER FROM EBAY
Loyal ebay user for decades. Accused of being associated with an account I have absolutely nothing to do with and banned from selling. I had a perfect track record with 100% feedback. Something ebay will never manage as a service. Customer service were rude, abrupt, incomprehensible and useless. EBay are really trying to destroy their business.

Fraudsters at eBay want passport and driving licence of people just so people can sell items, had items ending and on same day got taken off by eBay just because I will not give strangers my identification for it to be stolen and used as identify fraud by people hacking in their system or inside jobs
This last year eBay has stolen half or all of my shipping, that I set on items I sell. I filed a complaint and looking into sueing. I'm going to look into other platforms to sell because I can no longer use eBay, I'm not going to get my money taken, it's not in any agreement they provide that they will be taking the shipping for fees. I talked to a service rep they stated they take it for seller fees and tax purposes. I pay 5.00 a month for my store subscription. Now on top of it they are STEALING and TAKING my shipping cost. Don't use eBay they are a scam.
This was the worst experience buying something online I have ever had. I bought steps for my truck that were not as described at all and did not fit. I immediately took all the proper steps to start a return. After I had sent the item back I received an e mail stating that my return was closed because the item was not received. I thought this was weird since Fed Ex tracking confirmed the item was received. I sent multiple e mails with no response. I tried to call their customer service number, all you can get is recordings that are not at all helpful. After spending so much time on the phone getting passed these recordings I finally reached a representative. He at first told me that I could not receive any refund because too much time had passed. I spend another 20 or so minutes explaining to him that I have tried multiple times to reach someone and couldn't. I had plenty of evidence that the return was received on their end and that I had tried to reach them multiple times. He finally agreed to refund my purchase. This has been several weeks and there is still no refund. Out of principle I will be calling my credit card company and disputing these charges. I cannot believe a company of this size could be this unprofessional and frankly sketchy. I will never use ebay for anything again. Buyer beware!
Sellers are becoming increasingly bolder with their scam attempts. Others are just plain lazy and not concerned with the punctuality of their shipment. In some cases it's appears as though the seller will try and wait until the buyer "forgets" about the order or becomes so exasperated with waiting or attempting to receive a refund that they just give up. I recently had to have eBay step in and resolve an issue with a very feeble 'bait n' switch' attempt over a $145 where the seller basically tried to unload a piece of junk on me. An N scale locomotive that didn't even run that he claimed "ran perfectly", did not have the proper DCC decoder installed and didn't come in the case that was shown. Pic shows old DCC decoder that was not supposed to be installed. Seller had a couple of bad reviews with accounts of the exact same scam attempt. That tells me eBay is doing very little to restrict offending sellers. Be VERY careful and read the negative reviews if the seller has any. Also, try to avoid second hand items from home sellers and items from sellers who don't actually own physical storefronts.

When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers.
